Big Love for AWB!! These guys provided my life with some relaxing cushions in my younger years with that soul music which stood toe to toe with the brothers! Thanks for the flavor guys.
😮 I will never judge a book by its cover again! I heard this song today, and saw the two white men singing it with so much soul, my mouth open wide in shock! Now I’m seeing this interview and hearing their British accent my mouth has opened wider! 😮😮😮 Wow! I love the blue eyed soul ! ❤
Great to hear Alan and Onnie sharing their memories of their musical experiences and legends they encountered in their careers (Chuck, James, Jimi, The Beatles, etc.)! Been enjoying their soulful sounds since 1974 (RIP Robbie McIntosh), and these two guys deserve the acclaim for the quality of their music...!
AWB without Hamish Stuart is like Weather Report without Jaco . I don't mean that as an insult because Weather Report went through a bunch of great bassists. None of them were anything less than stellar, in fact. But, yeah...AWB with Hamish was magic in much the same way. One of my favorite bands growing up. My cassette player loved it, too. It loved it so much, it ate my tape!
I also love Hamish's falsetto voice and his great playing on all these earlier recordings. However I saw the AWB on their farewell tour this year and the other main vocalist was amazing, I suppose nothing lasts forever.
This group here... Soundtrack to my childhood and I never knew they were white or from Scotland until after I got into them again after Tracy Morgan did pick up the pieces on kazoo on Martin
Hamish Stuart sound and vocal is what made them stand out and famous. They are awesome but popularity plummeted when Hamish left. He wrote and performed some of their best pieces. Miss him. Need to reunite and Hamish and band all for it but Allan Gorrie said " No"..
Onnie McIntyre is probably the best rhythm guitarist in the World! All serious guitarists should study his style.

@@daveshawaii where is crazy Eddie's located?
Wthout Hamish, this is NOT AWB!
Like anyone cares what you think...
Hamish added a whole different element to the band, don't agree that it's not AWB. That's just a name, do I think they're better off without him? No.
@@daveshawaii Obviously you do, or you wld of not replyed. lol
