Punta del Este is the favorite beach resort in South America for the upper classes, specially from Argentina, Brasil, and even Paraguay and Chile. It has a short season, which extends from december to march, but with a higk peak from Christmas to January 10th more or less.
It has beautiful beaches, with and without waves, so it is perfect for surfers but also for families with small kids. Water sports like kite surfing, kayaking, etc can be practiced in several places.
The restoration is a big attraction, with very fine dinning in a relaxed atmosphere.
More and more people are coming to live in Punta del Este all year round.
