@@ronfredricks6752 When you listen to a different country's music, you need to be aware of their culture and how they talk too bc it isn't the same and not act like your sexual innuendos of cookie affect the song because you aren't Korean. From the view of understanding Korean, the music sounds the same, and isn't a big difference. Im not defending a 14-year-old and other older teens to sing slightly sexual songs, but you need to understand from the Korean view, that it wasn't meant this way. Foreigners sawa a problem with it and argue from their pov which is understandable, but they don't try to understand the other pov if you get what Im trying to say.

I think it's also the contrast between the lyrics with the age-appropriate attire/makeup and playful choreography that made the inappropriateness of the Newjeans video even more apparent and creepy. When Ador took the song's original English lyrics and translated everything but the most problematic lines into Korean, they made it impossible for native English speakers to ignore the nastiness while transforming the words into innocent nonsense for most Korean listeners.
