    Darren at MCT doesn't use a bike ramp either, he had one but preferred working from stands

    awesome track build !! one question - could you fit the newer (2025) front fairings with those new yamaha winglets????

    • @PalmerPerf_
      @PalmerPerf_  2 дні тому

      From what I've seen the fairings are exactly the same, they've literally just got some wings bolted to them, so I reckon we could probably just add the wings to the current fairings!

    What do you use to glue the frame protectors on - I was quite impressed you got them back off the frame without pulling the paint off the frame etc ?

      A general purpose clear silicone sealant/adhesive 👍. You do have to make sure everything is properly clean and degreased and leave them cable tied up for a few days to make sure they stick well enough though!

      @@PalmerPerf_ Cheers! Btw - I also don't bother with a bike ramp, I did have one but found it got in the way. If ever had another one I would want it flush mounted into the floor.

    Do you know what is DB level is of that Akra exhaust is at 5.5k rpm? I’m thinking of getting the same exhaust for my R1 however I’m worried about passing noise testing on UK track days

      Hi, I think with the baffle in they will just scrape 102 on a good day but it's not really worth the risk. Better off going for the Akra trackday silencer kit or look at a MHP or Pipewerx can for UK days

    Hi, what psi should a r1 fuel pump produce when key is switched on to prime system?

    • @PalmerPerf_
      @PalmerPerf_  3 дні тому

      Hi, the pressure is specced at idle and the range is 43.5-56.6 psi.....you should be seeing something over 40 psi just on priming. Its not uncommon for an o-ring to come dislodged in the fuel pump if a bike has had a big crash or if it's been taken apart and reassembled slightly wrong, noticeable by fuel weeping from the pump outlet continuously when the fuel line is disconnected.

      @Hondmad 3 дні тому

      @ that’s exactly what mine is doing! Leaking constantly when I disconnect the fuel line! Thanks alot mate really appreciate it

    Not a conspiracy theorist, just wondered. Maybe an explanation about the damaged wheels in the previous video would have been informative 😂

      @@LeeTillbury 😉😁👍 to be honest I completely forgot to mention them as they were taken out the same day the bike arrived.

    Why not shout out race torqs.. they made the junction valve. And make a better thumb brake than that hel brake your fitting.

    • @PalmerPerf_
      @PalmerPerf_  4 дні тому +1

      Why not, don't know, wasn't a conscious decision to not mention them 👍😁
      Personally I don't like Racetorx's thumb brakes 🤷‍♂️....the Hel is a neater one piece unit. If I wasn't using a Hel I'd use a PFM.
