Story: A messy, emotional but WONDERFUL day

- Yesterday I decided to make a videoblog from my whole day. And it definitely happen to be one of these days when everything just felt like a mess. A felt stressed about work and things just seemed to not go my way. I took a timeout to visit my cow at the farm, which was the most beautiful moment of this week.
This videoblog really shows just how a normal, everyday life can look like, combining work with a life on the countryside, with cute animals and up and down moments. I hope you enjoy it!

Having my own cow is the best thing I've ever done. The is something so peaceful and almost sacred about sharing space with her. I love knowing she'll always be with me and will never go to another farm.

Hi Jonna! I just discovered your channel a few days ago since I am sick with the flu. Seeing your videos has really cheered me up - i also live in the countryside (in the far north of England) very rurally, high on the moors. It has been a very long and hard winter and recently I’ve been struggling with lack of motivation and burnout (probably why I got sick!). I’m also a self employed creative - I’m a jeweller - and I find your videos really refreshing to show what this kind of life is like for women like us! Juggling all the demands of rural living and keeping on top of your own business and work is very hard and I completely understand how you feel. It can feel isolating and hard when everything is at least a half hour drive away, when the animals need taking care of, when the logs need bringing in and the water pipes need thawing! It’s a strange coincidence - my special place is also a forest which is a short drive from my home. I go with my dog and we have it to ourselves. When I am stressed or need to think out a problem, we go and walk there and I always feel better. I guess I just wanted to say that it makes me happy that there is someone out there who thinks the same way as me and lives the same kind of life as me - sometimes I think it’s too hard (especially in the winter) but of course you are right and these are the reasons we left the towns and cities behind. Anyway, thank you again for your videos. I hope your kulning album is coming along well! I am very much looking forward to it, you have a beautiful voice 💐

It is right that you show that you are broken, that you are in a bad mood and everything is not going well. when we look at people who are always "successful" and always "happy", we have a cognitive dissonance of understanding life and matching with ourselves. therefore, such moments need to be shown sometimes.

So, about the dishes... what I like to do is I only have out a couple of bowls, a plate, a couple of spoons & other cutlery, a couple of mugs etc. They're never in the cupboard. When the sink is full, I wash up and leave everything on the drying rack. So if what I want is not on the drying rack, I wash up and there's never very much to wash. I have the washing up bown full of water so that nothing dries on. So it only ever takes a few minutes to wash up.
I usually do my washing up when I'm boiling water in the kettle for my morning coffee.
I only ever get extra stuff out of the cupboards when I have guests. It's much easier this way. Try it for a week. You'll never go back.
My ex would always get more plates and bowls out of the cupboard because she was too lazy to wash up and I REALLY don't miss that about her XD
