This breaks my heart. I used to work at Macy’s. I had so many memories as a teen here. What will they use the land for once they demolish it?
I am happy I was able to visit one last time in December of 2019. I will never be able to visit it again. Thank you for making this video.

Hello, thanks for sharing your memories working at the Macy's! They are supposed to be building some manufacturing plants and possibly condos for redevelopment. And thank you for your kind words and I'm glad you enjoyed the video!

Really depressing that the final four tentants Round 1, WOW, Regal cinemas and Dicks sporting goods have left. It’s sad to see this place go. My childhood and teenagehood was spent here. I’ll miss it forever. It is nostalgia along with old Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, Disney Channel and Old AOL, among many other things. Like if you agree.

Man. I just went to Round 1 last month there... my friends and I loved that place. I hope they just move round 1 somewhere else..
I also remember the trampolines on the main floor in there!

Not just the heartless owners of the place, but the coronavirus killed it as well.

And online ordering pretty much destroyed this place. All people want to do now is order stuff online and not want to get off there ass and go out. I order stuff online but i still always love to go to stores and malls and purchase things. Its sad im going to always miss this place.

At about 2:49 or so when you're driving past what was Sears and you said "We all know who killed that store". Who killed it? I used to live and work in Taunton as a Cable Guy but moved in 2006. Was it a local political thing, or something bigger?
I just found out the Mall has since been demolished, and I've been watching all these videos all day remembering all the years I spent going there.

I was referring to Eddie Lampert who killed Sears and Kmart as companies. Now all the rest of them are either closing or soon will be. I really miss the good ol' Silver City Galleria Mall 😭

@@chefbran1 Yeah I hear you. I had just turned 20 when the Mall opened for the first time, it was such a big deal for us. I lived in Middleboro at the time, and I would always go to the Mall. Then later I moved to Taunton, and of course still went to the Mall.
My favorite part of the Mall was the area where Regal Cinemas expanded into the center mall. Before that, as you know, Yankee Candle was there. But when the mall first opened there was a gourmet coffee shop there, and I always stopped there for a coffee. It was so good, and the smell of the gourmet coffee was amazing, which would later make a perfect transition for Yankee Candle. They also had a bunch of tables and chairs near the rail edge over looking the mall below and you could sit there and drink your coffee. At that time there was a massive stairway in the middle of the center Mall. There was also Science Store there that was amazing! There was so many odd ball things in there, it was a must stop store before it left. That was on the 2nd floor on the Macy's end in that area where the big window was above the obscure enterance that you pointed out as "Way back there" when you were driving over the bridge thorugh the patch of woods.
I'm not sure if you know why that odd patch of woods was there. but it was left there because of an endangered Turtle living there at the time of construction, so they made them leave the woods and put a bridge over it.
It's been sort of bittersweet watching all of these videos. The Demolision videos are tough to watch, but some of the otherones where they're walking the Mall after it was closed are haunting in their own way. Even the Dead Mall videos where the Mall is still opened, but but on its last breath are sad to see. I have so many memories from there. I used to go in the same place you went in, near the Sears, and the main Mall enterence. After a while it shifted, and I would park in the upper Sears area near the Tool section, just because it was a lower profile area.
But yeah, its the end of an era, and many other Malls across the country are experiencing the same fate. I think the Mall concept could become reborn someday, but it would have to have a lot more of an entertainment factor to it, not just retail, movies and food. I know they tried that with Round One, but too little too late I thing. I never saw that place or the Regal Cinema's expansion, the last time I was in the Mall was probaly around 2013.
