This is exactly how it made me feel when I went to Peru and everyone is really lovely and friendly and a family in a hostel called me SON/BROTHER, and were very loving with me and it made me feel very special cos in England no one is ever nice to you if you're a stranger... and then bit by bit I realised they do it to everyone. The same old lady that was calling me son, was also calling the annoying guy in our dorm her son also...
@@ScooterBond1970 she pretty much said it to every young guy that stayed in her hostel... i havent had a very caring family so initially it meant a lot to me, until i realised its part of being latino... latinos think english people are unfeeling and cold.. actually in a way its the other way around... we just dont show it as much - in some ways i feel the latino way of showing emotion is very superficial... id eat their food and theyd ask me if i liked it and id say yes, and theyd respond with "what? you dont like it???" because they, to show they like something dont just say yes, they make tons of yum noises and "its absolutely delicious" comments even if its just a fried egg... what annoyed me most about it wasnt the fact she did it to other people, more that it was that guy in particular.. he was a total twat.. its hard to explain why unless you want to read a message three times longer than this...
@@tigrecito48 as a "Latino" myself (but from Brazil) I just wanted to comfort you by saying that not all of us think europeans are cold and such. There is definitely a trend of thinking so but there is also a lot of self awareness about how our "friendliness" can indeed be very fake, so it's not a general thing :) that said, it is very common for older people to call younger people "son/daughter", in fact we even have emphasis expressions where we call each other like that, language stuff I guess. Like when really trying hard to explain you something one could for example say "yes, see, that's how you do it my son!!" when you finally get it, or when shocked about something you've told they could react "whaaaat you talking about my son?!?!" and it's kinda silly when I write it in English but it makes sense for our context. That said, these uses have nothing to do with older people's habits of calling younger people like that, but I guess it's a way to point out our deliberate use of such words. Just wanted to mention all that. And in the end, do not feel distressed, as a hostel manager, I'd treat even a twat well because I want to be paid xD but here's a tip: if they kept asking you about the food, even if in that funny way where you have to be "hmmmm hmmm delicious", that means they really cared and were considerate! We only care about asking what people think of our food (and react to it) when talking to people we do consider important :D

The magic was there at the beginning and has stayed with the series over the years. Now its just more glamorous. Can't wait to see more!
I would have gone with either tye trope of "busy while another player is interacting" or multiple instances of one NPC where for each new player there is a ghostly image. So bob and rowan would have ghost gregs since they aren't the main view. I would say the later because there is a different episode that features multiple gregs because of a follower quest.
Yup. That feeling when you're recording your gameplay and going through all the touching dialogue and then SirTamponStraw69 runs through the instance as you're about the take on the boss. 😞
Those goggles are really gonna come in handy when Greg gets back from his journey, and starts helping players again. These kinds of mixups will end differently without a doubt.

@@tigrecito48 i really do, explain the whole story please
@@TabernadoDani yeah im just wondering if i took everything the wrong way... ive been going back to see the same family for 20 years... seven 9 month trips travelling in south america and visiting that same family.. i started to think maybe i overstayed my welcome years ago and they all wonder why i keep visiting them... the problem is my own family never showed me any affection or love - very cold, selfish people, and so when that family in peru showed me affection.. i became friends with the daughter and she called me brother and the mother called me son, so it felt good, i felt like someone actually cared about me.. but over the years i started to wonder if they might be fed up with me, after i gradually realised how easily people are friendly and call random people affectionate names... i fear i thought we had a relationship when we didnt really.. or at least it might have been less than what i thought it was..
has anyone ever noticed, that for all the times Greg has sent adventurers to catch his 'sheep that run amok'...... we've never actually SEEN these sheep......
I feel like everyone would have a connection with Greg. It makes sense.
"catching sheep that run amok" is definitely an innuendo here.
Brilliant!! And the after credits really completed it. Well done VLDL
Btw, this is my first time ever watching this entire series over the past few days. You all are so freaking amazing for making these all come to life and to see how far you've come. The magic was there at the beginning and has stayed with the series over the years. Now its just more glamorous. Can't wait to see more!
If this was Darksouls Logic, the Adventurers would be "You met Solaire in your world too? That's great! I love Solaire!"
How many rebounds does this guy have waiting in the wings, Jesus Christ.
That blue cloak must be a previous quest reward from that quest chain, seeing as they all had it.
What an awesome set of armor they got there :D love every second of the video
Greg's grandfather owned a lot of special rings
1:27 gotta love that voice
This comment wins. 😂
@@MorrahaDesigns You're subscribed to Ozzyman, J.P. Sears *AND* zefank?!
That explains why you like my comment! XD
@@the_SolLoser yes, yes I am. I like to cultivate a cultured taste in humor. 😉
@@MorrahaDesigns If I may, i would like to make a few suggestions to check out Ryan George's channel, and perhaps even Julie Nolke. Also check out Ryan Long, if you're looking for more social satire ( like J.P.). Specifically his sketches and street interviews.
@@the_SolLoser Ryan George is great! I will check out the other two. Thanks!
Greg. The kinda guy who tells _ALL_ of his friends they're his _best_ friend.
Ben’s finger waggle says it all. Lol! So funny you guys!
the only true legendary item these guys have, is(The Bucket of endless good ideas), where they get all their ideas from.
I lost it when Rowan suddenly appeared.
At last this is it, what I expect

He's the resident 'appear from nowhere' dude.
I was hoping near the end Greg would just say "skip" and players skip to fight the dark lord 😆😂🤣❣️
"I had to catch your sheep for what, for fun?"
Yes
His grandfather's magic ring sure gets around. It must be EXTREMELY magical, to split itself into three.
Really high-end emotional performance good job Adam!
Oh man, Ben doing that little neck shake of indignation cracked me up!
This gives me Final Fantasy vibes, where you have these moments.... only to be greeted by waiting for matchmaking for the following encounter.
I have watched this so many times. Adam has the most perfect reaction face. "Ah I said I wouldn't cry" lol
So currently we have the three-som, how many adventures has the epic NPC man got wrapped around his finger!?
That would be a foursome
Can we get a time lapse of all the adventures that go to the epic NPC man?
Greg has put a ring on every single one of them!
I find it cool how Ben, Adam, and Rowan are Each wearing their player character outfits, but with the legendary blue cloak.
Honestly, been a fan of Epic NPC man since the 1st episode and Im so proud to see how far you guys have come. The growth of the characters, the endless comedy and joy you bring to your audience. The short film Baelins Route. I love everything about this and I hope it never actually ends. I mean eventually it will, as nothing lasts forever. But I truly hope that is many years from now. I remember when you guys would say at the end of every episode to sub to your patreon, and look at how much its helped you guys. The scenes, special effects, outfits. All of it keeps getting better. Make sure yall viewers who arent subscribed do it. Leave a like. Hit that bell. VLDL is well worth having on your youtube.
You guys are the best comedy/parody group on youtube hands down. Keep up the good fight gents!
P.S: when can we see another supercut?
I LOVE the gentle glow of sunlight shining beyond the trees throughout this video.
Lol, I love Ben's finger shake at Greg! 🤣
Greg's sheep do run amok an awful lot of times.
I love that they brought back the ring from the early days of Epic NPC Man.
Ben's sass adds so much to this scene I love it.
"Of all the adventurers I've met, you are definitely ONE of them." :D
Greg pushing his sheep out of their nice safe pen "run amok already! Daddy needs a new adventurer"
This is Rowan’s villain origin. The betrayal was too much.
Well, well, well. If it isn't the first VLDL video I ever saw! All those... two months ago.
It randomly popped up on my FB feed and rather than my usual scroll on by, I engaged. I fear I will never know why, but will be forever grateful that I did.
I had no clue what I was watching (not a gamer, but have always fiercely wished I could be - endlessly fascinated by watching others play) but I knew it was 100% gold.
Now here I am having watched the entire DnD campaigns thus far, and currently working my way through the whole back catalogue from the very start.
My only regret is that I'm so, *SO* late to the party! I would have loved to have been there right from the start, when you actually needed all the likes/shares/subscribes/benefactors... How very far you've come.
Your success is so well deserved. Love you all!
I was kind of hoping Greg would pull out the goggles of charm during the end convo with rowan and be like "Nah man you're the only one for me" hahaha
As soon as that ring was referenced...
I love that they are all wearing roughly the same gear, some of it presumably from them all doing the same questline: the ring, the cloak, leather armour and bracers. Fantastic worldbuilding touch.
Just loved the adventurers outfit they look really awesome and the FX look like a film, amazing
