The scene where Larry is attempting to snatch the tablet from Kamenrah’s hands will never not be funny. That’s one of the funniest scenes in any comedy.

I went to DC and we got to watch this movie on the bus while we were going to see Gettysburg and tour some museums. The Smithsonian is pretty big and is composed of several different museums. The air and space was actually closed for renovations so we couldn’t go but we saw the American and Natural History Museum. The art museum in the film is actually the Chicago Art Institute which I’ve also been to on another school trip. I’m very glad our high school had pretty great out of state trips being from Nebraska.

There's a funny clip during the end credits where the sailor that picked up Larry's phone in the photo starts taking it apart. We hear his mother calling for him, Joey Motorola. Motorola was one of inventors of the first cell phones.

Robin Williams was one of those rare souls that could make you laugh and cry in the same scene. Rest in Peace to the genius. His words in this movie are tough because if memory serves this was his last movie before he died. So, I carry a heavy heart on his speeches.

I love this movie. I have it on DVD and seen it so many times, the scene with the Einsteins has stuck with me, I know all the digits of pi by accident because of it.
Kahmunrah and Lincoln were played by Hank Azaria, who also played Gargamel in the live-action Smurf movies.

This was as fun as the first movie, and it does explore more possibilities with this concept. But I mainly remember 2 of the most memorable scenes of the movie. First, the “Boom, Bang! Fire Powa!” scene and of course the scene where the Einstein bobbleheads sing “That’s the Way (I Like It)”. I’m not even kidding, those are the only two scenes I actually remember from this movie. 😅

This is probably my favorite of the series I love it so much. Fun fact, two of the paintings featured in the movie, "Nighthawks" and "American Gothic" are at the Art Museum of Chicago, and I grew up seeing them so that makes me love it even more.

I like the movie! Good action, nice music, pretty costumes, new locations, entertaining villains. All of this is great! My only issue is the romance between Larry and Amelia. It doesn't add much to the movie and is really weird. She's a statue, only alive during night. If he married her, that would be strange 🤨
I give it a 8|10, 9|10 for the first movie. They are both excellent!

Fun history facts to explain some of the jokes:
    "you FOUND Amelia Earheart!?":
Amelia Earheart is a famous pilot known as the first woman to try and fly around the world (had only been done by men). Sadly she wouldn't complete the trip because on July 2nd, 1937 she disappeared while flying over the Atlantic Ocean. She was traveling from Lae, New Guinea to Howland Island to refuel (2,500 mi/4,223 km) when her plane lost contact. Her last known communication was her sending out a message that she was low on fuel. It's theorized that she ran out close to Howland and crashed into the sea. We still have no idea what happened to her besides the fact that she went missing while flying over the Atlantic Ocean. In January of this year, people believed they had found her plane somewhere on the ocean floor, but it was recently revealed that it was just a rock formation.
"why is he the one in charge!?" followed by Sacagawea looking at him disappointed:
George Armstrong Custer was a United States Army officer and cavalry commander in the American Civil War and the American Indian Wars. He fought in the first major land battle, the First Battle of Bull Run. Custer was on the winning side of that battle, meaning he was on the Confederate side (aka the South). His association with several important officers helped his career, as did his success as a highly effective cavalry commander. After the Civil War, Custer was dispatched to the West to fight in the American Indian Wars. Custer and all the men with him were killed at the Battle of the Little Bighorn in 1876, fighting against a coalition of Native American tribes in a battle that has come to be popularly known in American history as "Custer's Last Stand." The main reason for his death and loss? He underestimated the numbers and strength of the natives and ended up getting his butt handed to him.
    "you're just sort of grouchy":
The green man in the trash can is Oscar the Grouch. He's a Muppet (American puppet group) character whos famous on Sesame Street (kids cartoon) for being grouchy and hiding in his trash can when any of the others come to bother him.
    the marching men:
The Tuskegee Airmen are a group of African American Military Pilots and Airmen who fought in World War II. If you know America's history with segregation and all those big issues then you can understand why these men are a big deal in history.
    Space Monkey:
On May 28, 1959, aboard the JUPITER AM-18, Able (a rhesus monkey) and Miss Baker (a squirrel monkey) became the first monkeys to successfully return to Earth after traveling in space. Able was born at the Ralph Mitchell Zoo in Independence, Kansas. He died June 1, 1959, while undergoing surgery to remove an infected medical electrode, from a reaction to the anesthesia. His body was preserved and is now on display at the Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum. Baker died November 29, 1984, at the age of 27 and is buried on the grounds of the United States Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

Check out Saint Seiya - Legend of Sanctuary, is a cgi animation based on the 80s manga/anime Saint Seiya, the movie was made in celebration of the 40th career of Masami Kurumada (creator of the manga). Even those who haven't watched the anime can watch the movie, it's very good.
