Thank you so much Mari for putting all of these together..., really, really, really enjoyable to watch each and every one👊😎...
Yay happy to do it and happy to hear to it!! 😊
Congratulations 30 mile days. Where i live (Anchorage AK), we had fund raiser walks called Walk for Hope, they were 32 miles. I did four of those and the last one we ran/walked. Surprisingly my feet suffered less running it. They were still hard us and you did this daily with a pack, good job. Nice view is those hills. Oh, some say Reptilian Aliens live in the mountain of Mt. Shasta , :) glad ya’ll didn’t have a run in with them.
Best part of my Sunday :)
🙌🙌🙌
Great views Mari....cool music...one step at a time....keep on keepin on....stay safe !!
Again, thanks for having us along. 🥾⛰
I just settled back with a soup to that one. I really enjoyed your company and the amusing banter let alone the views. Mark (England)
Cheers Mark! Hope the soup was nice :)
@@mari.johnson It was (vegetable). A pleasure to watch. Peace!
Wow just realised you've got less than 1000 miles left at this point now, that's pretty awesome well done.👍
Mari, you are so cute and adorable in your story telling. Great days!
I enjoy following you and Nick.
Thanks for the work to continue to post.
Awesome music!!
Wow, what a great introduction song. All of the songs you pick really uplift and motivate. You take beautiful panoramic views which make me feel as if I too am there. You could take amazing long distance shots on the Continental divide trail. Maybe you should do that. Thanks Mari, for another great video this week!👍
Thanks, so nice to hear you’re liking the videos. It makes all the time spent on them so worth it! Ooh maybe one day! 😊
Who is the singer??
@@melissaphillips1334 nobody knows .. the music is generic
Another very enjoyable video. Beautiful scenery.
Cheers Joseph!
One of your best PCT videos yet. You sure do look like you were having a fun time!
Good viewing material while I am having breakfast
I'm currently eating breakfast too!
Oh no! I’ve just binge watched your entire pct series and realized that this is the last video for now!
Your videos are so good! I can’t wait to see the rest. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
haha oh no! Not to worry, there will be a new episode up Sunday 8am PST :)
Mari Johnson ♥️
A bear walks into a bar, says: "I'll have a gin...........................
........and tonic".
Bartender asks, "Why the big paws?"
Great video. It is a nice escape from winter. As a veteran I can tell you that anything that says combat is not good(those bars). I really like the way you show your progress on the maps. Good Luck, Rick
I really like the way you are videoing the hike. There are parts of the trail I have not seen in other PCT videos. Great job!
I’m so glad you’re enjoying the videos! Thanks for letting me know!
That trail is scary the pct looks like alot of hills
So well done!
😘
Monday breakfast here in NZ and some more PCT moments and golden hours to enjoy thanks Mari. As well as all the wilderness beauty I love seeing the calm resting places that people have built up along the trail and Kellyfish's hostel seemed to reflect the best of Nor-Cal. The trail obviously comes with its own stresses so it's lovely to see everyone's relaxed faces when you get a break. I would never have been a successful thru-hiker because I couldn't have resisted staying in all those gorgeous spots for hours/days. Happy days.
Yeah that was one of the hardest parts for sure! I wish I could’ve stayed at so many places along the way!
Great vid Mari! Looks so awesome!
I don't know if you plan to do a video on Nick's gear? I've been wanting to know about his "front storage pockets" (for lack of a better name!) since the beginning. It looks perfect to store everything, and for having tried the "travel backpack in the back, day pack in the front" while travelling, I found it gave me better balance while walking. Thanks for your videos, always interesting.
Hi! It's an Aarn pack and it's designed for balance like you said! We talk about it in this video ua-cam.com/video/CSrHoN7PHb0/v-deo.html He really liked it!
Still watching. dont want to finish it all at once. lol. a couple every other night.
Yes! Gorgeous Nor-Cal!
So good!
Awesome video & great views.
Awesome, just like all your other blogs. I even smiled (somewhat wryly) when you joked about your feet, remembering my own.
Beautifully shot and edited Mari 🤩
Love your videos very inspiring. One question can you do videos on what gear, food etc nick uses as well it would be great to see that perspective. Thanks and keep them coming.
Rick
Great video
Yay, your getting there!
One step at a time! 😁
Im from Redding, really exciting to see home on your videos!
Really pumping those miles out Mari, seems you've got a little rhythm going now. Shout out to KELLYFISH!!
Maybe one of your best vid posts yet!
30 miles of hiking got much easier once you've done it!! Great job!! ^^
I can no longer hike that far, but Castle Crags is wonderful place to visit. It's just too far(from the State Park) for me now. I fell down about 8 feet from the side of a mountain on the west side of the Crags, and my shoulder still hasn't healed from my September 2019 fall. Did you feel the energy of Mt.Shasta(think back). Above about 3,200 feet(i.e. Mc Bride Springs), the energy is unbelievable.
Such a beautiful area of Nor Cali. Mt. Shasta, Burney, Fall River Mills, Dunsmuir, Upper Sac River.....Im up there a lot for my Fly Fishing and hiking adventures. seeing bears does not surprise me...Very big bear population in that area. Love watching your adventure...makes me even more excited for my 2020 upcoming adventures. LOL
It really is gorgeous! Enjoy your upcoming adventures!
Nice picture of the Steller's jay (Cyanocitta stelleri)
Doing the PCT next year and know we have to do California Fire Permit. But I thought we were not allowed to make fires? Or is that just in a certain part of the state? Thanks. Looks like an amazing hostel to stay at. Will have to keep it in mind. Wow, 30 mile day day!
Another great video - couple of questions:
1) Are you planning on describing any of Nick’s gear? Backpack, sleep system, etc?
2) Have you done a video on the various foods you took or seemed to always buy? Or a video about how you guys re-supplied? Thanks!!!
Here's a video about the food! ua-cam.com/video/m9OTJge1o7I/v-deo.html
4:54 LOL I-5, The PCT for cars. But it's only 1,381 miles instead of 2,653, and only takes three days to make the trip. Of course it doesn't go to all the beautiful places the PCT does either.
haha yeah that was really an overstatement! Not the same at all :)
Thank you for sharing your wonderful adventure, such great scenery!!!!! MT Shasta!! It makes my feet restless that's for sure. Cheers..
30 miles before dark, that's pretty darn good, And then you did a 32 a few days later . . .
Oh I wonder if that north fork creek where u ate is the beginning of the north fork river I live by. Hope u blister had healed up by that point! There are some great plants in that area that help w healing up in that area, but it's a little too late! :)
Oh cool! I’ll have to look them up for future reference!
What is the front pack/vest that Nick is wearing?
I love your Channel! Your so inspiring! I wish one day to Thru Hike! I've started a UA-cam channel too!
That’s exciting! I hope you do!
Will Nick describe his gear he used and give an assessment?
Did you have a hard time adjusting to eating your normal meals after you finished the PCT?
Not really - I was so excited to eat vegetables regularly again!
Love how you use the graphic to trace your progress on the trail each day. That is so cool! I remember you said a long time ago how you did that but I can’t find that video. Would love to do that in my videos so my mom can visually follow along. What is the app that allows you to do that?
💖😊🐶🐶
Gotta have hot sauce, oh yeah
Worth the weight!🔥
Highway 5 does not go across the country it goes north and south highway 80 goes east and west
Even # go east west odd # go north south
Happy Sunday Mari! Besides the beginning and the end, any one moment that you remember about the pct?
The Yaks in Dunsmuir is a life saver
So good!
