I think this is one of Trevor's rare displays of empathy. He knew what he was doing was irritating but he was getting paid. Once the reality of the situation hit him, he backed off, because he was part of the reason Manuel's land wasn't safe, regardless of how long or his reason for working for Joe and Josef. For once, Trevor listened to reason, saw what he had done, and got angry for the right reason. I truly believe Manuel's words struck a chord in him, and he knew what he had to do.

It's funny cuz i hated those two so much that, when i did the first mission (the one with the band), as soon as the "mission passed" pop up disappeared, i shot their car with an RPG, and then the other missions never showed up, when i checked into youtube and found out they were gonna die anyway, i did their missions normally on a second playthrough

Tried your way. Never works for me. This mission and grass roots : trevor have enraging dog shit check marks. These seemed super bugged for me. They teleport the guys too far away where i can't get them. Or they dont use the stun gun or the guy lands in the ditch or something else😢😢😢😢
