Celebrating Our National Instrument On World Steelpan Day

Pan Trinbago is wishing the nation 'Happy World Steelpan Day' with a host of activities.
Along with the bands that lined Piccadilly Street in Port of Spain on Friday, the organisation hosted an ancestral walk with African drums and Tamboo Bamboo which started at All Stars Panyard.
Cameraman Rajnauth Lal and Reporter Kimberly De Souza joined some members at Piccadilly Street in Port of Spain to discuss the significance.

Agreed, many school has the recorder as a mandatory instrument to learn in forms 1 to 3, I think the Steelpan, being the NATIONAL INSTRUMENT, should be a permanent fixture to learn by all citizens in our nation's school curriculum. This will GREATLY contribute to our national pride.
