Oh this absolutely made my day! 🥰 Thank you so much for mentioning me, Lauren - you're one of the first people I watched on BookTube, so this means a lot 💐 Also I'm so pleased you love Mafalda and Mary! They're wonderful. I'll be checking out everyone else on the list x
I still can't believe that I first learned about Seji in June; she really deserves so much recognition. Some small booktubers that I've been enjoying are books by leynes (poetry, nonfiction, modern classics), Castle Library (mostly YA and adult fantasy), Reads with Kesara (mostly adult sci-fi and fantasy) and Jess Owens (who I only discovered last week).
Lovely shouts out, plenty for me to go and watch! My small booktuber recommendations are Bookish Mama Blooms, Natalie Meree, soggy expat book nerd, pastory time x
oh my gosh, Lauren! this made my day, I can't stop smiling right now 🥰 your channel is one of the first I started watching, and you were a big inspiration for me to start my own channel 🌻 also, the fact that you mentioned my vlogs and how they feel like a safe place is EXACTLY how I feel about yours too! my heart is so happy, I can't thank you enough 💕 and yay for all the other incredible people you talked about! xx
Kind of new to book tube, so one of the only people I follow is Kayla at Books and Lala. Even though we have opposite taste in books, I love her reading challenge videos!
I love Booktubner recc videos and this one great, bc it's concise, but gives a good overview of the channels. It makes it easy to pick which might work for the viewer.
One of the not really well-known booktubers I love is GK reads. Her channel is relatively new, so it makes sense that not many people know her, but I think she deserves way more subscribers!
Oh Lauren!!! 💖💖 I was wondering where these subscribers were coming from 👀 this is the loveliest thing and has put such a smile on my face. I’m also so surprised when people say I’m articulate because I never feel that way, I feel like I’m just word vomiting 😂😂 oh gosh this has made me SO happy, thank you xx
Ahh, I’m so pleased!! 😘❤️ it’s funny hearing how you come across to other people isn’t it 😆 it’s partly why I worry about misrepresenting someone in these kinds of videos haha! Love watching your videos! 😍
You’re so welcome! Absolutely love watching your videos 🙌🏻🙌🏻 I feel like I never comment because I’m always watching things about 2 weeks late haha, so hopefully this makes up for it 😆 xx
Hi. The first thing I learned in the Wisdom's class was that: " lessons about how to rescue a fool still alive from the Ignorance's talons" Kdp Amazon ebook. Thanks
I love it when Booktubers recommend other Booktubers 🙂. Mary holds a book from Juliet Marillier in her hands, so I will surely subscribe to her. I recently discovered Jasmine and just love the way she presents books. Another small channel I really like to watch is Badger Reads. It's perfect for bookworms who love fantasy stories and nature writing.🦉✨🌳
I also really like Jasmine Reads so much. She offered very well curated recommendations. One other channel I really like, though it is very different in style, mostly centred around fantasy books is Merphy Napier. A channel that is very esthetically pleasing is Darling Desi . I also really enjoy watching Getting Hygge With It - I specifically like her non-fiction recommendations and also the way she comes across as a very straightforward, honest person that cares about social issues. She also has a lot of thriller recommendations for anyone that likes the genre.
One of my favourite Book Tubers is "Claire Read Books" - she's American and lives in New York. She is incredibly authoritative and also reads across a wide range. Some great suggestions there. I hope to check some of them out.
What a lovely video ♡ already following a couple of these but will definitely check out the rest! A few of my fave small channels at the minute are: doomantidote, GK Reads, Hey it's Shey, and Ilovebooksokae 🙌 I mostly like watching people who read literary fiction, non-fiction and classics but, even though I don't read much fantasy, ilovebooksokae is also just very fun to watch 😁
Aww my lovely ❤️ it's been a long time since someone mentioned me in a video 😂 thank you so much for the kind words, yours has been one of the channels I've watched the longest! Its crazy to think how much our lives have changed over the years, it was so lovely to see your pregnancy news the other day ❤️ hope you're keeping safe and well xxx
I do think supporting book shops is important, especially the smaller independent shops, when possible. But I do actually buy most of my books from Amazon. I can’t always afford full price on books. So Amazon is convenient for me. I also buy from supermarkets, charity shops, Waterstones and Foyles. I buy books where I can, when I can and what’s appropriate to my pocket. Best Wishes 💕
I’m not judging anyone for using Amazon, I use it myself! But there are also some online alternatives out there, many with cheap and second-hand books, which Mafalda is great at finding and trialling out.
@@LaurenWade oh I know you’re not judging, Lauren. I suppose I do need to look at some alternatives on line. I do buy quite a lot of the second hand books on Amazon too. I’ll have to check Mafalda out. 💕
Well, now that I am listening to all the other shoutouts, I have to say they are all great channels and adorable capable readers. I need to catch some videos though 🤔 hope they will pardon me 🙏🏼
I've only heard of one of these guys. It's nice to get some recs that aren't all YA and shouty or whingey. I watch a lot of illustrators/artists and miniature painters on youtube. Mini Small does catch up vids where she does talk about whatever books she's read, you might appreciate her aesthetic and calming energy. I also find amii ceramics silent vids to be very calming. Though neither are booktubers they are brilliant and inspirational women.
Does anyone else find themselves watching Booktubers even though they don't match their taste in books? I watch quite a few Booktubers who I really love and enjoy their videos such as Jeans Bookish Thoughts, Noelle Gallagher, Peruse Project, Paperback Dreams, PrettyXBookish and Bookish Realm but it's rare to find any book they read that I am interested in picking up. I still really enjoy them tho :)
The problem is the platform. UA-cam are putting so many ads into videos now. Eg two before it even starts. Maybe you should be looking for another host.

Jasmine is just amazing! I subscribed to lots of these booktubers because of this video! 💜

Well I only already sub to three of those channels so got some new channels to watch! Thanks for the recommendations.

@@GKReads 😂 well I feel like a tiny bit of a creep now 😂☺️ but at least it was a nice thing I got caught saying right 😉 You're very welcome!

I love watching Morgan Long's videos
I recommend Claire Reads Books. She’s fantastic.

Absolutely, sometimes you just really warm to the person ☺️
I’ve been watching “the book castle”
so been have I.

Why do you not follow any male booktubers? Don't you find any of them interesting?
