- As level 3 lockdown in Auckland kicks in we're grabbing some takeaway food & coffee finally! New Zealand has some great food options, so this is the start of a mini-series around Auckland finding the best eats... ✪ Come say hey on Instagram - / danegerandstacey ⬇ More Below ⬇
As much as we'd love to show the best side of Auckland by sharing some of our fav cafes, restaurants and food options, sadly just the old lockdown click and collect is going to have to do for now. As we hunt out the best food in Auckland we want to mix in a few of our favourite's as well as try some new eats too.
The Auckland takeaway scene is pretty solid though so we shouldn't run out of options! This vlog is our first real time out of the house exploring from lockdown and we're keen to just get moving again. We share our go to local coffee joint, Bow & Tie, and taste a new favourite in Ellerslie - Pastrami & Rye.

We're Dane & Stacey - a couple of nomadic travellers from little New Zealand, doing big things. In early 2017 we booked a one-way ticket to Thailand and traveled for 3 years non-stop... but travel has changed for everyone since late 2019 obviously.

Love Bow&Tie's coffe. If you guys fancy vegan food, Richoux in Ellerslie does some amazing vegan pies. Those brekkie sandwiches looked amazing.

Great video! During the video, an advert for a certain global organisation that has been doing rather well out of lockdowns came up. It reminded me how important it is for us all to get behind small businesses like the ones featured here. Good for you guys in doing just that and making entertaining videos at the same time! :)

Note to self: Do not watch Dane & Stacey food vlogs on a Hi-Def TV after midnight! I had to force myself not to raid my fridge! Those butte sandwiches looked so yummy my mouth was watering! 😋

i whent for a feed with the boyzs an coffee dates with my mates an freinds an too the pubs. an fish an chips with brugers an hot dogs mcds bruger king kfc coffee brunch an too the bars. an pubs for fre cold drinks off beers with the boyzs. an few wines with my lady freinds off me etc tbh.

Hey Daneger and Stacey, I'm writing to you as an ex-pat who is currently living in Dubai... what are your thoughts on us Kiwis that aren't able to get back home at the moment because of the MIQ situation... are you happy being in NZ right now or would you rather be travelling overseas and uploading new international travel content, but not knowing when you'd be able to get back to NZ?
We have all the empathy in the world for ex pats because we easily could've been in their shoes had we not come home at the right time. That's a hard one, we're obviously so grateful to be here in NZ but we've gone from world travellers to being stuck in one place which has been quite the adjustment. In an ideal world we'd have the option to travel without the fear of being locked out of our own country.

@@shenlun Yup! We have zero ratio sorry haha, it's been a case of guess (wrong often) and eventually we found the right kinda amount to be just over a second. Too little is best, too much ruins it.
