This tutorial has SAVED me. I’m using it to sew the nova midi dress, because the process for the double bodice is the same. I was so lost trying to understand the pattern, and even looking at the tutorial on the style arc website I was still confused, but this tutorial is gperfect, and SLOW, which has been so wonderful for a beginner like me! Hi Renate, seam allowances of 1cm or 6mm (at neck/armholes) are included in our patterns and are marked on each pattern piece with a dashed line.

Arghhhh! This is 100% not beginner friendly. I used the same fabric as my dress for the lining and it's sooo confusing.
Note to beginners if you're brave enough to make this: use a different lining fabric that has a right and wrong side and save yourself the anguish!
Hi Sophie, we wouldn't call the Montana Midi Dress a beginner pattern especially if sewing the double bodice but we hope the tutorial helped a little bit though!! :)
