Hair color and peroxide soften and lighten hair
The color looks cute on you. I believe the popping of curls is due to your hair texture getting looser due to the coloring process and also the way light reflects better on colored hair that has ombré effects

Only question/comment... I would've expected some lift on the darker roots using a 30 volume. Do you think you got the lift you were expecting?

I feel that way to that's why I love dying my hair, it's seems more defined but ik it's because it slightly loosens my curl pattern and makes it curlier and surprisingly less frizzy it does get dryer quicker though. I've always done my hair coloring myself and it's always come out great, I recently bleached and colored my hair and it came out perfectly I had gave my hair a break from color for a year and while I was pregnant
I feel you girl! I tried going back to black for a few months (years ago) and I just didn't feel like myself.
