Do prize fights with an xp boost and bring 1 strong fighter that can solo the team and bring the gold fighter. You'll get a good longshot bonus without risking much so you get tons of xp
All five moves have attack on them and one move has HP on it for my Heavy Metal, but I also have 50% defense built on him, so he is kinda playing the "jack of both trades" game

You should probably reroll till you get a good gold or maybe even diamond, but gold is reccomend because rss wre easier to get. Check the skullgirls mobile wiki to see which gold or diamond units are top tier
