- Thank you to everyone that left such positive feedback on this demo! It was so well-received that I went ahead and turned it into a full-blown Pluralsight course titled "Modernizing Your Websites with Azure Platform as a Service". This is five and a half hours of focussed training specifically on Azure Websites and the Azure SQL Database service. There's a huge amount of content in there not seen in the tutorial here as a bunch of new stuff has launched in the year since this video, there's an all new management portal and, well, it's four times as long! www.pluralsight.com/courses/mo...

I do a lot of demos. I write a lot of blog posts. Thing is though, none of them really sell the whole Azure picture; the BIG picture.
The superdemo was designed to cover as much as possible in one hour. (Ok, it wouldn't all fit in an hour so you get an hour twenty something.) It's the demo for people who don't quite know what this Azure thing is and probably aren't quite up to speed on the whole cloud idea either.
This is an hour and a bit of barely-edited "making real stuff happen" back-to-back demos of the important things you need to understand about websites, VMs and SQL Azure. - Наука та технологія
Dude honestly, i'm not the kind of guy to leave comments, I mean who really cares what anyone has to say anyway. But I had say that this is one of the most informative and well delivered videos I have ever seen. Thank you so much for taking the time and your "own money :)" for making this.

This is the most comprehensive video I have ever seen about Azure. It goes from a high-level overview to small details to make it more understandable, it even introduces the concept of PaaS and IaaS from a practical point of view. Way to go Troy! Thanks a lot.
Best thing about this video is the Catchy Line "The world's greatest Azure demo". People automatically being pulled watch this video. Totally worth spending 1.5 hour over here. Excellent presentation. Thanks for the video

i'm quite techy but not very and for a while ive been looking at azure vids and this is def the best one ive seen so far - you show us devs what we need to know: publish a site - config a real world domain and im only 11 mins in - this is excellent - im not surprised you have courses on pluralsight you deserve it...

Troy phenomenal job on explaining this! Really stunned on how easy and straight to the point this demo was.
This is one of the best overviews of Azure I’ve seen. If you’re trying to quickly gain an understanding of the capabilities of Azure, spend an hour with this video. It’s well worth the time.
This demo was really great when Troy created it. However, at about 3 years old now it's quite outdated. An updated version of this would be really neat to see.
Congratulations! Wow, this was excellent. When we think about starting to see a 1,5 hour video, we knoe that by the tenth minute we are already tired. But yours kept me glued right to the very end of it. NICE!

This is amazing. I am halfway through the video I am already convinced I will only be using Azure from now :D Everything is so flexible and budget-friendly to try. I don't have to worry about too low specs nor too much bill for having too high specs and most importantly having to deal with annoying procedures. This is a dream product

this is what i like of the world we live inn ...people educating people and helping each other learn. Content here is more useful that paying for a course in Azure online or some university. brilliant selfless service. Keep more coming

Troy, it’s crazy to watch this. I watched this when I was about fifteen years old. I remember almost trying to replicate it as I always loved messing with VM’s, but I still didn’t really get what “Azure” was.
Fast forward six years and I’m an inTune technical consultant. Coming back here is crazy.

Wow you can scale your shared VM from $1200/mo to $600/mo so quickly! That sure makes me reconsider my dual core dedicated machine in a European datacenter for 600€/2 years!
