    Love to see that you have included Pokémon too! I used to be 100% sports cards but now I am 90% Pokémon. So much more fun and stable in my opinion. Don’t have to pay $1000 to open a box and don’t have to worry about player performance which causes wild swings in value

      All really great points! 🤙 Especially the ‘don’t have to worry about player performance’ point. That’s so refreshing and less stressful. Thanks for the support…I’m glad I got into Pokemon. Happy holidays! LV

    Best pokemon education video I've seen yet. I would like to get into them a little more but never knew how to get educated. Thanks man! Great video!

    As a sports card collector and reseller with over 50 years of collecting and about 18 months of selling. I have probably 25,000 cards in my eBay store right now. I found this video extremely helpful and well done. I just started getting into TCG about four months ago. I am getting tired of the volatility in sports cards as you stated, did he have a bad game. Did he get a DUI, did he get into domestic.? And I think a big push towards Pokémon was the huge decline in value I was seeing waiting the 30 to 45 days for a PSA card to return back. I will never stop doing sports cards, but Pokémon and TCG are going to be a big part of my business going forward. So thank you for this video and I hope you continue to publish more Pokémon videos.

      Exactly…Umbreon can’t drive drunk 🙌 I too am starting to get frustrated with the volatility of sports cards and players. But like you, I’ll never stop and always have a passion for sports cards. I appreciate the support of this vid, and I’m excited to have like-minded people on this Pokemon journey with me. Keep an eye out for a possible second UA-cam channel, dedicated to Pokemon 🤘

      @@littlevictoriessportscards197 I am in for the ride with you. I just got back 20 from PSA, did about 30% 10s, I realize from watching you have other things to look for, that it is not the same as sports cards. I have another 20 going out this week, this time I am sending to CGC. I told my wife the other day, and you said it too. I may get 70% of the PSA price, but I can have 4 lots back before my 1 PSA, and I am thinking volume is the key to make up that 30% difference. Let me know when you start that channel.

    Great video! I chatted with you a bit in the comments of your last video and mentioned that I was getting into Pokemon cards too. I appreciate the effort, and I learned quite a bit that will help me out as I continue to figure things out.

      I’m stoked you’re getting into Pokemon cards too! We will figure all this stuff together 🤪 I’m thinking about creating a second channel for Pokemon content 🤙

    Thanks for the video. As a largely just sports card collector, I've looked at expanding more into Pokémon. One thing I saw today, just doing some browsing, was a PSA 10 of one card, that was selling consistently around $200. I looked at the Pop Count and it was nearly 11k PSA 10s! I can't really wrap my head around this.

    • @littlevictoriessportscards197
      @littlevictoriessportscards197  14 днів тому

      Oh man, the Pokemon pop counts scare the s&*t out of me too. But trust me, they don’t matter as much as sports cards. The amount of pokemon collectors worldwide is astronomical, so as long as the demand is there high pop reports don’t seem to factor in 👍 Thanks for watching the vid and support! LV

    Awesome video as always LV! Played a ton of pokemon as a kid but eventually grew out of it, but maybe it's time to dig back in via pokemon cards & grading! Thanks for the tips & the informative video

      You and I are on the same page 👍 I think that second UA-cam channel for Pokemon is in the works cuz I don’t want annoy people and load up this sports card channel with Pokemon content 🤪

    To help my addiction to riping wax, I buys two of everything. 1 I rip the other I put in my sealed collection haha. Sad that surging sparks is literally impossible to find.

    • @littlevictoriessportscards197
      @littlevictoriessportscards197  17 днів тому +1

      Unfortunately that would never work with me 😂 My addiction is so strong I would have that sealed collection opened in days lol. Sad I can’t keep stuff sealed for investment. Oh, and I had to resist buying all the surging sparks packs at my local grocery store right now. They got a new supply in, but I held strong. Thanks for supporting the vid! LV

    Great video! I got my first bulk order from DCS coming in and will see what I can send off to PSA to dip the toes in.
    Always have to diversify to stay ahead of the game.

    • @littlevictoriessportscards197
      @littlevictoriessportscards197  17 днів тому

      Exactly, diversifying is very important. I’m excited for your first Pokemon sub! There is a $13.99 special right now, but I feel like it’s always around that price to grade those with PSA. Message me on insta if you have any pre-sub questions 🙌

    The average person can get their hands on any new pokemon stock when it comes out without having to wait on a PC for a Dutch auction only to have Panini cancel your order 3 weeks later due to over-selling.

    Traditional sports cards are always slow this last month. Baseball is off season and football and basketball are entering the home stretch. Pokémon have no offseason outside of new releases. That also don’t have ACLs lol. Enjoy the hunt with your kids.

      @littlevictoriessportscards197  12 днів тому

    Where do you aquire the cards from that you grade? All from packs?

    • @littlevictoriessportscards197
      @littlevictoriessportscards197  17 днів тому

      When I first started out I got them from packs, but now I mainly buy them at card shops, shops at the mall and card shows 👍

    I do not think gem rate is a good indicator of how well you are doing. Just like sports certain pokemon crads have harder or easier condition depending on the card.

    • @littlevictoriessportscards197
      @littlevictoriessportscards197  17 днів тому

      Good to know! Gem rate was a great indicator for training my grading eye with these 👍

    • @schmoe5070
      @schmoe5070 17 днів тому

      @ some of the newer sets have a little harder gem rate then stuff in sword and shield 🛡️. It boggles my mind with how many of even the chase cards are printed how much they go for in psa 10 kinda nutty
