16:33 As a Yoruba Nigerian. This is so true and it really does still happen. Even if they are older only by 7 or 8 years you still have to bow. You also bow down as a way to say thanks. There are different levels depending on your level of thankfulness. You don’t usually go to the floor unless someone has like gifted you car. If there are any other Yoruba people in the comments correct me if I got anything wrong, I moved to the USA at a young age so I’m not a complete expert on Yoruba culture.
You go down only inside the house while the ladies kneel on both knee. Outside, you bow while the ladies curtsey.
