The diverse portfolio of Samsung products amazes me. If there is an electronics product category, they have a product in it always.

they do manufacture camera sensors and semiconductor stuff

I was looking for a comparison of energy efficiency of gas and induction and Samsung bring this, thanks a lot
IMO nothing beats induction! One thing in the video is not accurate though. @01:54 it states that induction allows you to wipe spills away instantly. The glass surface definitely needs to cool down from the hot pan sitting on it for a while so you can't wipe it instantly after cooking, but it is true it cools down much quicker than the standard ceramic cooktop with heating elements underneath.
Well, you just didn't get it right😅, just watch the video from 1:48 they meant to say that it cools down faster and can be instantly cleaned.
Nope...induction heats the magnetic metal vessel. It doesn't heat up the glass cooktop and you can absolutely wipe it instantly...I have done in multiple times
@@aleenaprasannan2146 Nope! You're wrong because you didn't read properly what I wrote. After cooking the cookware itself is hot and it does make the cooktop hot after sitting on it. Or do you not understand the laws of physics? When you sit a hot metal pot on top of a glass surface it makes the glass surface hot. That's what I said. If you disagree then you have no knowledge of common physics. You cannot or should not attempt to clean a hot surface until it is fully cooled down. Obvious you don't own or use induction because you have no idea what you're talking about saying you can instantly wipe down the cooktop right after cooking on it.
you can try to wipe it with a thick moistened cloth, you would be very clumsy to get burned through it. Always easier to do it before the food sets.
and if yu are lucky the hot glass top cracks due to instant moist cleaning cloth!
I really want Samsung and LG for my home appliances in the future!
@@enlilw-l2 That's a bad choice, not reliable. Look for brands that are specialised in home appliances like Korean or Japanese ones, solid as rock and excellent customer care.
Using an induction pot on a gas flame is going to take longer as you have to heat up the thick base material that induction pots require. That said, induction is the future and the next stove / range we get will be an induction one; mainly because our country is phasing out methane but also because an induction range can be run by solar electric.
Not all induction compatible pot has thick base material.
The thickness is not the issues, the ferromagnetism is, you can have thin induction pot yet has the same efficiency, and can be use for both gas and induction top
Don't use Induction pots on gas flame .....obvious !!!
Induction is faster. I have one
no it does not works like this, the magnetic field created vibrates water atoms, which releases energy and heats things,
@@oksowhat that would be how microwave oven works. Induction is based on completley different principle. Alternating magnetic field induces current in a ferromagnetic metal (steel base of the pot), because pot has some resistance, those currents heat up the pot.
When will the bespoke in wall microwave and oven be available?
I love my induction range. Highly recommend!
I like the idea basically yeah we're witnessing future of cooking and loads of things , the way worlds changing, looking forward to more energy efficient ways to live

How to make phulka roti
why not make one big enough for a stock pot?
There is something strange about this. About the boiling tomato sauce, it shouldn't matter if you turn off gas or induction, both should cool down in the same time. The gas version maybe even sooner because it has air contact at the bottom as well.
Uncle Roger be like: haiyaaa induction stove!? my wok not going to work on there haiya
Yeah but how much more expensive will parts and labor be when it breaks?
Unless you slam your pots on to it, it doesn't break. Been using my induction cooktop for 7y and it still works like new, not a single repair required.
The problem with induction is difficulty use cast iron vessels …. Possibility of scratches
and low response of changing temperature, where gas is instant
@@J3rryTortoise Not with cast iron, it isn't ! Induction (not other electrical stoves) is as fast as gas in changing temperature, that's because the input heat can be changed instantly with both system. But the temperature of your cookware also depends on its thermal conductivity and thermal inertia and cast iron is pretty bad at that (which has some advantages to avoid the temperature dropping when you put cold food in the pan or Dutch oven).
Cast iron will change its temperature pretty slowly, whether on gas or induction.
@@chaddaifouche536 oh my bad, I’ve always thought induction and electric stoves were the same, my house came with an electric stove and it takes ages to respond in temperature and to heat stuff up, and I was told it was induction. That makes a lot more sense
@@J3rryTortoise Okay, I didn't understand some of your comments but now it definitely makes sense.
Yeah, old style electric stoves are awful, way worse than gas, we're in complete agreement on that!
Good technology, and what do you think about infrared cooker?
Do you mean halogen ceramic hobs ? We had this in my parents home it was quite fast but not as fast as induction.
@@enlilw-l2 So yes, I was interested in that. I plan to try inductions.
@@igormanja If you're looking for fast response yes induction is the best choice. We have this at home and we don't want anything else, it's so quick ! It is also way easier to clean as it never burns something you can spill. You can even put parchment paper under your pan if you don't want to clean it.
But, you need compatible cookware.
@@enlilw-l2 Well, thank you very much. I just feel sorry for the old dishes 😂
@@igormanja You're welcome. Well test your cookware with a magnet before throwing them away, you may have some pans that are compatible.

I wonder if induction cooker actually lower the power not just cycling the power on and off in low heat mode.
Induction uses on/off cycles.
When I moved apartments, it had an induction cooker. After using it, I knew I would NEVER go back to a gas cooker.
A year later I had to move again and for me, it was a REQUIREMENT that the new place had an induction cooker, heheh.
Do They give home appliances with the apartment? We don't got it here
I have the opposite experience. Only want gas
@@blessedslave Yes always here. It depends on the country I think.
And how much does it cost?
You can't do tadka on induction because it burns the onion and even on low settings the consistency of cooking is not the same as gas flame.
Bhai wo chota sa flame thrower aata hai na wo use karlo.....ha par best option to yhi hoga ki ye log hybrid stove nikale left side gas stove and right side induction
@Leighton Lusted No need to have a separate portable gas hob, you can choose hybrid hobs with mixed burners.
I'm wondering why you say that. Are you talking about the portable/small single induction units in India or a full size range like this video where there is a difference in quality? In theory, good induction offers precise control. Also, they heat rapidly. Faster than gas. So if you cranked up the heat instead of a gradual increase, then it will burn your tadka, I imagine.

I love samsung. But most of them are last only for 2-3yrs. Even its says 10yrs warranty.
Same business model as phones, so that you but new one every 3 years.
Yes, it's called planned obsolescence. Samsung does that so better to choose a brand that is specialised in home appliances.
Forgot the part where after you have had your induction stove for a year the board breaks in the top. Samsung wouldn't fix it so now you have to press down really hard on the stove top to get it to start working with the pots. I love samsung but every single one of our samsung appliances has broken in some way in the first 2 years of owning them.
I don't know about you but i have a few Samsung household items and we purchased them collectively and it has been 6 years and they are still working good and their service station is also very close to my house
We have a Samsung fridge. Been a decade and still works well. It depends on ur luck for product batch I guess.
I have a Whirlpool. Bought it used. Two of the burners are out. I need to remove the circuit board for that side and send it to Canada for repair. But considering that the range we replaced was ancient (it had been purchased used prior to my birth, and I was 55 when we replaced it), and had only one working burner....to have two burners is luxury LOL Plus I have a separate induction burner that is a commercial unit...so I can live with what I have. If I decide to fix it someday, great. If not, no biggie. But I can understand your frustration. My range was inexpensive due to being used. Had I put out the money for a new induction range, I would be very upset!
If you slam your pot on to the cooktop then it might break, since the top of a cooktop is made of glass-ceramic material. I have broken one, but insurance covered it. The new one is now 7y old with no signs of cracks.
induction is the best.. 👍🏻

How about making a 24" range (like the rest of the world) for the US.

induction cooktop is the smallest 2'20"
rdiant cooktop is 4'41"
and gas cooktop is 5'10"
smaller pot requiers less energy to heat .
Wow! 😲 I can't believe that they actually disclaimed that. Like, just lie, if you're going to lie. 🤪
Here 2'20'' means 2 minutes and 20 seconds… The image shows clearly that the same recipient is being used in every case and anyway that doesn't matter because what will be determinant here is the quantity of water to boil, using a different recipient wouldn't change more than a few seconds or Wh, and it is specified from the start that they boiled 550 mL of water from 23°C to 100°C on each stove.
@@chaddaifouche536 oh yeah, I think you're right. That's interesting that it looked like they were lying.
I didn't think to hard, because those figures would have suggested feet and inches.
Glass stove top.
Requires a range of compatible cookware to work.
Less reparable.
Doesn't work without electricity, therefore unsuitable for emergencies like brownouts.
Good points, of course if you live in Texas during a cold snap, you might lose gas service too! 😂
E per la bruschetta come famo?
How will make Roti on this, we need fire for that
One thing about Induction, like all manufactures fails to share is Humming Noises Induction Produces. This is Loud Noise, anyone without hearing loss can hear it.
They definitely make noise, but to be fair, so does a gas stove to some extent. It’s just that we are more used to that. One thing I have noticed between and old, inexpensive induction plate by Fagor, vs our new induction range from Bosch, is they are not created equally.
It's actually because of the quality of your vessels. Try using good quality cast iron skillet and see if it persists.
My induction cooktop only gets loud with thin or crooked pots. On quality ones with a thick base the buzzing is comparable to that of the gas stove.
But all of our containers are not flat. some of them are hemispherical, what to do with them?
Concave hob.
But I don't no how to work it :((
Uneven pan surface temperature. Easy to accidentally warp pans. Need multiple pie shaped small induction coils instead of a single round coil.
The only cons I noticed while using induction stove is the heat reduction is not even or constant when compared to gas flame which is very even flame, while the flame is reduced....
Yes indeed, induction uses on/off cycles. But you can have hybrid hobs with mixed burners like half gas half induction.
there are induction burners that are more consistent and constant doesn't turn off an on at low but they are more expensive and not very common.
nice.
Does it use gas or electricity?
It's electricity
