Another thing to Note: Sometimes the only way to fix the audio not working is to unplug the USB capture device & then plug it back in. Also make sure in the properties of the Digital Audio Interface, that you have "Listen to Device" switched On.
Try this - only thing that worked for me: Go to Settings: Privacy and Security. Scroll down and under App Permissions you'll see "Microphone". Click on that and scroll down until you see "Let desktop apps access your microphone". Make sure that is ON. That was the fix for me and now I can see my USB capture device as an audio source. HTH!
Man you have no idea how long i been searching my issue was the game always higher than my mic even when i lower the volume on my headset but i followed what i do recording on pc but because this is my first time on console i was lost first i didnt get any audio i switched from monitor off to monitor and optout but when i listen to the video i recorded damn it was too loud in a way like my voice was barley slightly heard even when i lowered the elgato meter in obs still the same issue but now i can finally hear myself please make another video how to separate audio the mic and the capture card cause i tried by unchecking the boxes in the audio settings and leaving my mic on 2 and my capture card on 3 it showed 2 tracks on D resolve timeline but the first track was empty and the second was only for the game again thank you so much mate
In macOS 15, I struggle with OBS crashing when i select the sound source for the hdmi, and naturally, no sound. However, when I clicked the video source for the hdmi capture, and meddled with the video resolution, the sound came back, and obs is stable again. I suspect maybe some corrupted files needed to be overwritten.
bro I want to wear my headphones as well. when i unplug the headphones, it works fine but when I plug it back in my controller the capture card audio is gone
@@JSmacks might become a secondary issue in sound settings. Might need to use an audio splitter, I forget the one I used to use but I think it has Banana in the name…. You need to have your game audio going to Capture while splitting audio to headphones.

Thanks bro, wanted to play my ps3 on my laptop and the audio was static asf, but thanks to this it’s fixed
So i should go to the "Properties" section on my capture card and select the capture card itself as the "custom audio device"?? 🤔

Shouldnt be. Running Windows 11 is your first problem. I'd back up your whole PC to a HDD then install Windows 10.
