    Some of these comments are so strange, how is this any different to a normal person talking about a specific condition on Instagram or TikTok, let alone a doctor! I think it’s a really helpful and informative video that can help people prepare for a GP appointment to discuss further 😊

      Those were my exact thoughts also 😊 I’m glad you found it helpful! Thanks for watching ♥️

      I would say it's really unhelpful for people who aren't healthcare professionals to give advice on conditions online. I saw a thread the other day where someone was advising a nursing mother to take herbs to help her milk supply. So tricky as that's a safeguarding issue

    For the strange comments, on here dr Ezgi is only explaining what can happen and to be honest even on the NHS website there are most of these symptoms not everyone has them it shows in different ways I enjoy these videos it gives you an idea what to look for not like you have it it could be something else etc but the videos are only there to help look for the signs! Keep up the good work dr Ezgi 🥰

    If people are wondering if they have coeliac shouldn’t they just go to their own GP rather than watching videos on the internet about it?

    • @DrEzgiOzcan
      @DrEzgiOzcan  Рік тому +3

      The video is to educate patients about what the condition is so they feel empowered to approach their GP with their symptoms and concerns and understand the journey to diagnosis and treatment

      @@DrEzgiOzcan But again that's a conversation to have with their own GP. Every practitioner will do things slightly differently, especially bearing in mind every individual presentation so your content is then providing a mismatch in terms of expectations. No GP wants to hear about what their patient has looked at on the internet. My mum has coeliac and as a nurse I would have advised her to avoid videos on the internet prior to diagnosis and just go to the GP. I'm not trying to be rude but your vlogs are so much more valuable.

      The route for diagnosis and treatment mentioned in the video is guidance from NICE and CKS so it’s not open to “doing things differently”.
      The video does not deter patients from visiting their practitioner it provides foundation knowledge to the condition that can be built on at a consultation.
      Some patients like reading informative content, others enjoy the visuals of a video to explain it to them.
      If you enjoy the vlogs feel free to skip the educational content.

      @@DrEzgiOzcan Unfortunately not all doctors follow NICE guidance! And NICE guidance is certainly not without its critics, there is plenty of information around detailing the bias and insufficient evidence base that NICE draws upon. I still stand by my comment that patients should go straight to their *fully qualified* GP's for treatment and not waste time looking at youtube videos.
