He's probably a bit under valued as a guitar player, he was an excellent player, and a matchless backing singer.

Once they signed to Island 🏝 Records it was all killer , no filler for Bob Marley & The Wailers. 🇯🇲

I recommended checking out the earlier Lee Perry produced version of this tune though 👍

This is different from the original version, there were no "noises" on that one lol, also seeing as the sun has been out here, been listening to a few old soul tunes and i think you will like this one, it's called You don't know nothing about love by Carl Hall, that one wasn''t recorded in a pigeon loft either 😂

Duppy is patois for a ghost (more or less) . However, I don't think he's calling himself a ghostbuster; he seems to be evoking his ability to overcome general malevolence.

Third World are another superb reggae band worth checking out C and C. Their '96 degrees in the Shade' album is a beauty. 'Human Market Place' from that album is a gem of a track.

Curses! This reminds me I've never found the Dub version that exists of this! Thanks for the reminder Hanier Family...
Edit, the noises are probably Lee Scratch Perry, its something he did a lot on his own records.

There is a version of Mr. Brown that is split over the two channels with just the organ on one side. That might also be on the comp as well.

@@SPKdesign1 I think there might have been a Dub version of the album released at one point, though possibly only in Jamaica.
I'll need to keep an eye out for that compilation

UB40 live at the bowl of brooklands it's not a great recording just shows you the venue with the small lake in front of it the last time i saw Split Enz was there and you could see hundreds of heads bobbing in the water when the lights lite up the lake 👏👏👏👍
