You two are young and have done so much that most people would never tackle. I’m so happy, I’ve been watching you for years. You’ve only become more talented in your diys and your homesteading!!!
I think it looks great! I like the way you made the upper and lower fit so well together and I think making the top a little darker will make it look even better.
It's looking fantastic!👏I would personally take a little bit extra time to do the bottom of the closet again if you ask me🙃 I think it's really worth it. Then 1 extra old wood in the bottom of the chest, some doors/handles and and a dark stain at the top and voilà! 100% restored, beautiful and fully functional! You're doing a very good job guys! Bravo❤🎉👏
I think it looks amazing, I'd personally burn the wood for the wardrobe rather than stain , and add rope handles for a rustic look, But I've no doubt it will look amazing no matter what you decide 😊
It’s beautiful! So glad you preserved the rustic patina on those planks. As always, love your music choices. The only thing I missed was David saying “Bye bye” at the end; that always makes me smile. You’re both so adorable to watch. Thanks for the video!
It looking so much nicer then i though ! And when you put stain on the closet it will match even more with the draw part of this closet ! Nice video and a nice job !!
I really like the result❤ For the sides of the drawer fronts (the ones that bother David) and even for the wardrobe maybe you could try burnishing instead of staining? Like you did on your front door, with a blowtorch, then oil it. I didn’t realize what you were trying to do, I thought the base would be wider (like those old kitchen pantries with the wide base and narrower cupboard on top) but you were trying to match the width😊 Got it now.
I love it - it's awesome and suits your house and other projects. I would do exactly what you mentioned - use the wire bush on the top section, stain and wipe. Oil the bottom. Well done guys 🤗
Old Farm wood restored like an antique. I like it. Always a learning experience. Very Kool, and as always little expense. A bitty tip, jus a reminder when pushing wood thru the table saw. it is the wood between the Blade & Fence that pinches, and kicks back. Push that part all the way thru. 👍👍.. Be blessed🙏🙏
Very nice I love the old wood and staining the top the same not so sure about white washing the doors on top do you have the old doors ? Or making new ones i think it would look awesome with door frame and maybe tin with joles punched like flowers or a desing or a screen
Stain only your repairs! Let the old one be natural. It looks good as it is with a darker bottom. They will never match in style so just let them be this much unmatched in colour too. If you’re very keen, take a picture and change it in photoshop first. You know everything doesn’t have to be dark 😉 Sometimes you need lighter things inside, especially in such a dark corner.
I think your ideas to finish off the closet are spot on. I knew you had a plan to make it look rustic to match the top. A little dark stain and the whole piece will look fabulous!!
I do love old wood. Reminds me of summers with grandpa. We'd find something that needed building or repaired and head to his old stockpile side of the shed. The oldest, scruffiest, dirtiest pieces would turn out the prettiest with so much character once cleaned up and stained. Such good times. Thanks for the flashbacks. Absolutely love the armiore base. I think that making the top match in color is a great idea, I'm not so sure about the white wash, but you twos eye for style never fails.
Oh wow, this is wonderful. I do think that you should stain the top to try to match the bottom. . I can't believe how nice that bottom looks ...of course I shouldn't have questioned it because you always do such a good job. Wonderful! I'm always anxious for the next video to see what you're going to do next. You both do such good jobs. I do miss seeing more of the animals though.
you did such a good job in the plan moving forward is great. I love that. It will never look like anything bought at the store or specifically made to order. Your work is far better than anything else. ❤
I think it looks fabulous 🎉❤. Oil the bottom and stain the top . Your vision is right 👍👍. I love it ! Congratulations on making two different pieces look cohesive and beautiful ❤❤❤
You are blessed to have access to such beautiful old wood. But I am also impressed how you recognize the value in what you have, and spend the time needed to turn the old pieces into something meaningful that will last. Great work!
I think it looks great as is! Love that old wood you used for the bottom. i wouldn't use any metal for knobs or handles. The waves in the drawer fronts work to pull them open. But if you really want handles, maybe you could make something out of wood. Great job!
Sharon here.... I love it! I knew I would! Adding the stain will bring it together. I've heard gel stain is easy to work with, wiping off as you go. See you in the next video. ❤☺👍
I think it's so pretty so rustic looking. I think that the ideas you have to finish off the chest will make it look really nice. The bottom does look like a real old chest. I really like the vision for it. Great job you guys for picking out the wood and cutting it to fit the Chester drawers. Can't wait to see the finish product.
David, it looks great! You should be proud of it. Once everything stained it’ll look like it’s always been that way! Great job! Looking forward to seeing the completed project! Krystyna in Wisconsin
do you need to spray the old wood with woodworm treatment?....also you can get a wood hardener to spray where they have already been if it is slightly dry rotted.....it looks fabulous I love it
It really tuned nice and looks like it belongs. I have one BIG complaint.... Never never never EVER use your push stick like that unless you have two of them, always push the piece of wood that is between the blade and the rip fence.
Oh my goodness I want one just like that!!! Love how it turned out. Can’t wait to see your finished work. Think darkened the top just a bit is a great idea. 👍🏻❤️😁
As always, you are doing a great job! Love watching you learn along the way. I have a very old house too, and we have used old dark wood we have had to rip out (ceiling beams etc) to make new things like a long bathroom vanity with fancy sinks on top. It took us much longer to figure things out than you though! I love reliving our triumphs as you both discover how to make new things. Thank you!
it DOES look like an old chest. can't wait to see how the stain works out.
You two are young and have done so much that most people would never tackle. I’m so happy, I’ve been watching you for years. You’ve only become more talented in your diys and your homesteading!!!
I agree.
You two have proven that you can make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. lol As dessy always says, "PERFECT"!!!
That has turned out really well the additional drawers added to the wardrobe looks great
Love your rustic style! Makes everything more homey and warm!
I think it looks great! I like the way you made the upper and lower fit so well together and I think making the top a little darker will make it look even better.
cabinet looks so much better already. good job.

The rustic look compliments the character of the room - Congrats and Enjoy!😊

Came out so great! So many were freaking out about the size of the bottom compared to the top and obviously you two knew what you were doing!
I love it - it's awesome and suits your house and other projects. I would do exactly what you mentioned - use the wire bush on the top section, stain and wipe. Oil the bottom. Well done guys 🤗

Can you tie a beauty piece between both pieces plus it would hide the end grain also.
Love what you did with the draws
Very nice I love the old wood and staining the top the same not so sure about white washing the doors on top do you have the old doors ? Or making new ones i think it would look awesome with door frame and maybe tin with joles punched like flowers or a desing or a screen
That looks so much better! I didn't understand what you were making and I didn't think that was beautiful but now it's very nice! I like it.
The solution to lifting the cupboard is excellent but I think you should sand it some more. The grain will not be lost and it will look cleaner.
I ❤ when you use your old wood. Beautiful.
Looks great, as always
Everything doesn't always have to be perfect. Rustic also looks chic. 👍👍

The closet turned out perfect. Amazing what beauty you can create with old wood. Recycling at its best.
Beautiful wood hope you treated them for wood worm. Great job.
Nice job .
You really are very talented. God Bless you both.🙏🏻💕💕
Love love love what you do with the old wood. Absolutely amazing!
Didd you treat them for wood worm? I think you should have experimented with sanding the board a bit more. If you oil it it will get much darker.
I am always impressed with Dessy's camera work and your music selections are always spot on!
Love it!!! Is there anything you can't do? I wish you lived closer so you could come and fix things around my house. Keep up the good work. 👍👍👍👍👍👍

That turned out nice!
Absolutely beautiful well done ❤
I like the way you finished the base cabinet of your wardrobe. You folks are awesome!
you did such a good job in the plan moving forward is great. I love that. It will never look like anything bought at the store or specifically made to order. Your work is far better than anything else. ❤
Nice music 🎶....and more importantly your drawers and finishing look first-class ! Well done 😊
I think it looks fabulous 🎉❤. Oil the bottom and stain the top . Your vision is right 👍👍. I love it ! Congratulations on making two different pieces look cohesive and beautiful ❤❤❤
Very beautiful indeed, I'm sure that the alteration to the main wardrobe will make the whole piece of furniture look fantastic!
You are blessed to have access to such beautiful old wood. But I am also impressed how you recognize the value in what you have, and spend the time needed to turn the old pieces into something meaningful that will last. Great work!
Looks SUPER!! Well done! Thanks for this episode! 😍
David you out did yourself again and made a beautiful piece of furniture. I love watching you two work on projects together.♥
I love it. Great job!

I like your idea for staining the top.
I enjoy your selection of background music... it's so nice. Thank you guys....
good job guys, looks nice 👍👍
Respect. We call it wood forgetting the trees. Remember the Trees. Shelter, air and homes for birds and beasts.
Peace from Minnesota.
You are awesome.
Almost 52,000🎉🎉🎉🎉
Really nice ... it's hard to beat real wood that is aged for an authentic look.
I would NOT paint the closet doors white - perhaps a color like a green (not christmas green) more like a dark sage green.
Great job! Again!
I love it so far!
Love how it looks, especially if you can match a dark stain to the upper part. Awesome job.
Looks great 😊
I absolutely love the bottom drawers, it's nice & rustic ❤❤❤❤
David, it looks great! You should be proud of it. Once everything stained it’ll look like it’s always been that way! Great job! Looking forward to seeing the completed project! Krystyna in Wisconsin
It looks great! 😊
I like the darker Color and idea to stain the closet to match! It will look awesome! I’d watch any furniture building tutorial by you guys
I think it’s beautiful! Great job!!🥰❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I like the way it looks.
Very nice , great job. 👍👍
Awesome job! Good for you for using the old wood. It takes time and patience. I love it. PERFECTION!

I would be delighted to have that piece of furniture in my home, good job ❤
Looks good

It really looks GREAT!!!!
I knew it would look awesome when Devids was finished. see you next time.
It's beautiful & I'm pleased you are going to attach it to the wall ❤❤❤❤
Looks very nice. Like the character. Yes, stain the same color. Impressed with all your work. Happy New Year!
PERFECT!! ♥️ From Tennessee USA
I love that you have so much extra wood and materials that you can make what you need with what you have. Blessings
No matter what you decide it will be amazing. You have such a creative mind . Well done!
Looks great!
Staying the top of the cupboard will make a huge difference. Also do you have handles for the drawers?
Your vision to finish is spot on! Love it.
No whitewash, just make it all match the bottom color with a stain.
I looks great! Can't wait to see the final product
WOW! It's fabulous Darlings. As always, great job 👏🍾🥰😻
I couldn’t see it. But now 😮 it’s amazing. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
It's rustic - in every way.
The thick wood will make the drawers very heavy.
It turned out just beautiful. ❤
That looks great !! Love it !!
Great idea
It's beautiful!
Wonderful work you two! My Dad was a carpenter and this reminds me of some of his work, using what he had and making items with love and care.
Quedará genial teñido del mismo color , las puertas las puedes hacer los marcos con esa madera y el frente con un cristal y un visillo
Awesome❤
It looks absolutely amazing! You’ve done such a beautiful job! 🥰
Looks so good great job
I love the character of this dresser.
