Surprised no one mentioned you have that quick release mount on backwards. The part with the button should be mounted and the smaller part with the curve for the extinguisher releases.
Dude I have been thinking about that pre-made kit you were talking about, I am going to build that DIY bracket this week. Newer to you channel and love your content! Keep up the good work.
Awesome video! Just a suggestion I would recommend at least a 5lb fire extinguisher in your vehicle, a 2 1/2lb extinguisher will only put out super small fires. Also if you get a 5lb or bigger extinguisher I would recommend getting it from any other manufacturer than kidde or first alert those two companies extinguishers are made very low quality. I personally would recommend a Ansul or Amerex 5lb Abc extinguisher, they are pretty pricey but it is very worth it, also you could get it at a fire extinguisher service for less and if you do I recommend getting it refurbished because then you know that it is good and serviced by a good fire extinguisher service! Sorry for the long comment I’m just a huge fire extinguisher enthusiast! Also if you accept my recommendation can you make a video on the extinguisher? The fire extinguisher you have now is also missing the pin and a tamper seal, make sure to get a pin and tamper seal because otherwise it could accidentally discharge if hit.
@@BaptismOverland those extinguishers won’t put out a big fire at all and if your talking about one of those fire stick things that won’t do anything and you also have to get super close to the fire to put it out. In my opinion those extinguishers are basically useless. Like I said I would highly recommend at least a 5lb good quality abc fire extinguisher, like an ansul, amerex, or Buckeye. They take up room and they are pricey but they could save your life and save your vehicle. And thanks for responding to my comment! I have a channel about extinguishers so if you want you can see what extinguisher you think is a cool and I can tell you the model or something like that.
Great video. I was wondering if you would happen to know what the measurement is between the two mounting holes on the base of your extinguisher quick release? Thanks
i think the only issue i see with this setup is the red pin that releases the fire extinguisher is mounted facing the seat and is actually covered once the seat is pulled forward. Assuming this is the driving position you would have to quickly slide the seat back before you could reach your hand behind to get to the red button.
Most setups will do that unless you're tall and your seat is pushed pretty far back. I'm short and I don't want this any closer to the pedals either or I'll keep hitting it with my calves. It deploys quickly even with me having to quickly push my chair back

The part with the button IS mounted. The only thing on the extinguisher is the plate that locks INTO where that button is
The button isn't on the extinguisher
Eric is right... The video shows that the piece with the pull button IS on the extinguisher. 🧐
I'll take a pic again of how this is set up and find a way to show y'all
Santier I was saying the same thing!
Great idea. The closer the better. Gives me something to do tomorrow 👍🏻
Lol! That was def my inspiration. Like, “hmmm I’m bored. What can I do tomorrow?” Then boom off to the hardware store
@@BaptismOverland I’m also going to do the limb risers as well. Lol 👍🏻

Thanks man! And yeah it's still going strong! Saved myself $$$$

Love it, thanks for the reco!
What do you think of those ultra portable fire extinguishers that are basically a small canister and can fit in backpacks and such

It is exactly 5.5" apart
You're back!
Never left. Just got swamped heavy and then we took a trip which I will have another video for lol
Slick setup!
Lovin’ it! 🤙

@@BaptismOverland i think to remedy this you could use a clamp/latch style release but i like your guide and am going to diy one for myself!
@@BboyMopTop Would love to see what you come up with! Keep me posted!
Super. 👍👍👍👍👍
