Really glad that you are back making videos, I got into your channel when I was looking for a hobby that myself and my mum could do together, she is in the early stages of dementia and I wanted her to keep using her brain in a fun way which this def is, It has brought us closer than ever and she is really enjoying making the statues. we also now make money on them which we invest in more moulds. next is to learn how to make our own moulds and fibreglass cases which should be fun lol. and hello from the UK.
I started following your channel when I was researching the best way to clean, repair, and paint an old concrete bench and large planter last year. I’m so glad I found it and followed your tips. Both have been outside in the Midwest heat, cold, sun, and snow and still look great after a year! I now keep an eye out for other concrete items to paint now that I’ve learned how easy it is to make them look spectacular.
Thank you for this video. The reason you're getting a lot of questions about the paint itself, is because there are many videos on YT showing how to paint statues but none that explain anything regarding what kind of non spray paint should be used on outdoor statues. This video sums it up quite well...
Thank you so much for the videos and channel. Your family must be very proud of you 🙏🏽 to share all your knowledge you learned running the family business. We appreciate it!!
Thanks for explaining things so simply, it makes it much easier to be confident in attempting to paint outdoor ornaments. I just so happen to want to repaint my old gnomes so the information about the red on the gnomes hats was very helpful. x niki
I had used straight Portland cement with water to do a few molds until I realized I should have used the sand/cement portions. Could I still sell these as Indoor/porch statues? There are so many types of cement bags to choose from, but now I know! Thanks for the painting tips.
They won’t last in weather but for indoors/porch it should act similar to plaster statues so yes they should be fine as long as they’re not in the elements.
Thanks for the response! I will tag these items as Indoor pieces only. I've watched your videos many times for info, as I just picked up the hobby of concrete statuary.
Good morning Thankyou for your video, about two years ago I sprayed painted my large concrete turtles, They came out beautiful. Now the Sun ☀️ got to them and they look bad. What can I do . I can send you a pic if you like. Need help!
Wow, you're great with this video and from looking at the other comments send your a great guy to subscribe to 🎉tell it how it is type guy but in a respectful way 😀

I would suggest first removing any loose or peeling bits, then go over everything with the base coat and go from there. Thanks
It wouldn't hurt to wipe the whole satues with wire wool to smoothe the surface before you start yout base coat
I ve been using ur techniques, and it does work for me as well. Thanks
Great to hear!
It's the exact same for Plaster ...
Can you show a paint scheme for a pelican statuary
Here is an older video I did on painting a Pelican :) ua-cam.com/video/xI7Rb8E0wq4/v-deo.htmlsi=NwmyL9MAlSUeo0E3
