For All Mankind | Ed Reveals He Learned Korean | S01E01, S03E10

In the first season of For All Mankind, Ed Baldwin reveals he was a fighter pilot in Korea and shot down during the war. In season 3 episode 10 Ed is able to speak korean to communicate with the North Korean astronaut.

This was one of my favorite Ed moments.

His Korean is at a plausible level for someone who "picked up a few words".
I was expecting Ed to just read off his name tag when they asked what his name is, which would prompt him to perk up. Alas his name tag was not on him at the time.

The first thing I did there was start learning the Hangul alphabet. With that, at least, I could read the subway/train/bus maps, and the street signs, even if I only knew a few words and phrases.
