@@BubblesMane the main one being that these staff promos are not as limited as they make them out to be, every staff member got 4 of them. The next one is throwing out random numbers on what they were bought for when they don't know (would be very easy to find out)
She's a creator, but she's also a store owner. Should she not be allowed to open a pack of Evolving Skies for example, pull a Moonbreon, and try to sell it at market value? Isn't everyone that sells Pokemon cards at market value for hundreds more than they paid for the packs they pulled them from technically a "scalper"? I dunno. I don't like it, but I'm not mad at her for it.
You can't buy a pack of Evolving Skies with guaranteed Moonbrean in it. You can't "plan" to get it to resell it. Those WC staff cards were sold to her. She knew the value and planned to resell even before the show started.
Look, last year at Pokemon world 2023 there were plenty of well known creators and other resellers who sold staff promos for $750-1000+ a piece. And they have more than 6+ copies in hand. I have proof as well. Let’s get the facts straight before throwing stones. This was a terrible take.
@ shiny vert you made a really good strong video right here props about the whole vaping deal! And I think you are really doing a good job with your life and your content! Ps.. run with that sober deal!
Staff promo pricing was controlled by the staff (they all collectively priced the same to make it hard to get deals). Obviously there is a bit of variation but the cheapest I saw one bought for was $400, with most closer to the $500 range. I saw the stuff floating around saying they were bought for £100 and unfortunately this is just wrong. If they were that cheap I would have bought 20, instead I only bought two as they were expensive. I got this info from a guy who attended worlds
@@ant_989 incorrect, The majority of STAFF members who get these cards don't earn a wage from these events. Hotels and Flights costs come out of their own pocket. I think people forget that she owns a business - she's not just a creator. She has a shop that sells Pokémon stuff so you can rest assured whenever she finds an opportunity like that she will use it. I think scalping is more like when something is available to anyone but people buy it by the bucketloads to create a shortage and sell it at a higher price. This isn't the case here. This card was only available to certain people. And if you think that buying a card cheaply and reselling it to make a profit is scalping, then almost everyone in the tcg community is guilty of it. Remember what happened with Pikachu with a grey felt hat? You got like 20 of them? I'm sure it was for you own collection but yeah, exactly
New to the modern side of the hobby, so I don't know if those cards were available for purchase in the store at worlds. If it was available for purchase for everyone at the store and was purchased at retail prices only to be sold at 7.5x, its scalping; that's no different than the plushies or ukes being sold at 100x+. If the cards were only made available to members of staff and one had to find a staff member willing to part with the card for a premium, its not scalping, that's entrepreneurship; it would be no different than being the first to pull the rarest card in a brand new set and listing it for whatever price one wanted. Its supply and demand, but again I don't know if these cards were made available for the general public to purchase through Pokemon/Nintendo, please feel free to correct.

Probably in the minority here but I don’t get the big deal? Supply-demand. If people will pay for it, why not? Then again, I’m new to the hobby and perhaps the creator side of things fly over my head😂
Yeah supply and demand, but the point he makes which I agree with, is that she has tons of money, her giving away those cards isn't gonna affect her financial state. Why would she need 6 copies of them, she can keep one for herself and then give the rest to her followers

Its easier and cheaper to go to a US event and buy cards in bulk than it is to import the same cards to the UK via postal service also your prices there are far cheaper than UK and EU but its not fair to single her out as this has been the case for decades not with just Pokemon and TCGs but anything collectible.
Great video and thoughts my guy. I agree with you and thinking she got them for free or cheap. I go back and forth on this. If someone is willing to buy it and support it and the scalping they are just as bad as her. The other part of me thinks she could reduce the cost and sell for less, or split. Give some away and sell some. There’s plenty of ppl who couldn’t go to or afford to go to worlds. Make their day but giving them a chance to get them. Idk just my two cents.. well may not even be worth that lol
Technically if she got them for free then it doesn’t fit the definition of scalping which would be “reselling” insinuating she bought em, so I think she’s fine😂
Its nice to know that when you decide to leave the hobby all them lovely boxes you have on display will be sold for retail because you are not a scalper 🎉
Selling your collection you’ve accumulated over many years for a price that the MARKET dictated: Not scalping Selling something you JUST got with intention of selling at a premium price that YOU dictated: Scalping At the end of the day I don’t care; doesn’t affect me but at least use a similar comparison!
She’s aloud to do what she wants inside the law. Yes she’s making a huge profit very quickly, but it’s not against the law. Also remember, nobody is being forced to buy anything from her. If you become a victim of the free market, it’s your own fault. Nobody has a gun to their head saying they have to buy anything. I feel like it would be no different than me taking my evolving skies sleeved boosters that I got for $3 each (of which I have about 1500 packs of) and selling them for market value at $25 a pop. Remember, these are Pokémon cards, not essential goods that are needed for survival
I will she and dean both run a pokemon card business from what I understand. If that is the case this is pretty standard practice for any pokemon business. Now I think she flubbed the deal with trying to essentially set market price. Should of got them graded then sold them and the market would dictate the price. The collector market for this type of card is not people hurting for money and if they are they should honestly reevaluate their position with finances imo.
Scarcity mindset had no benefit. Abundance mindset where everyone can win has benefits. Looks like she saw an opportunity and took it based on supply and demand, what’s there to hate.
She should have done giveaways on her channel for those cards. A creator makes their money from views. So she should give back to the community. Each lucky person who wins those promo cards should be the ones selling them on ebay for 1000 dollars.... If anyone believes what I just said should have happened, I want what you're smoking and pass me a slice of dumbass pie... Look, everyone in this business is out to make money,, as much as possible. She's no different. Your 90 dollar "god packs" are filled with cards that add up to 20 dollars, lol. You even put "free" promo cards in your other Tier products! I'll admit, most of your lower Tier packs are fairly reasonable, you aren't making much off those. But the god packs are pretty bad. Rev and Vault makes roughly $45 on each base Tier pack, which is fine. They need to profit to be able to throw in the expensive pks from the upper tiers. Same with you. It's obviously a gamble on the ppl's part. I literally just saw CTR open a red Tier pk that had a $5 sun&moon base pk in there! Brotherrrrr, even his homie Ryan called him out on that! Every monetized UA-camr's job is to use their charisma, charm, and wit to attract fans/subscribers. With every video you make, you're hoping it gets thousands of views, which attracts even more fans, which means more $$$... Every person who sells products is making money on at least well 80% of the products sold. Not to mention the videos promoting the products. Back to Chloe. So she decided to flip those cards. Big deal. Those who bought them will likely get them graded. If they come back 10's, guess what they will do? FK'N FLIP THEM! At the end of the day, everything is about money to every youtuber that's not already a millionaire.
Do you have a gym in the house!!!!! GOALS man!!! Good video buddy. Opinions are okay. Everyone can think what they want. I think we forget that we can disagree and still love one another
Acquiring, buying and then holding and/or selling hot cards and items is the lifeblood of Pokemon and why it is fun. What do you want her to do? Hold them all for her personal collection? Not try acquiring them? If given the chance, would you turn them down? I suppose you would give them away in videos?
Scalping in my eyes is when people buy something that should be readily available to everyone but is in short supply (like your ps5 example - should have been accessible to everyone for a normal price but such short supply meant that far fewer people were actually able to buy them) and those that were lucky enough to get one because they were the fastest then flip it for huge profit due to the demand. In this situation certain people were given the cards for a particular reason and it is entirely up to those people whether or not they want to sell it and if they do then it’s up to them what they sell it for and who they sell it to.. and then when they do the person who buys it is entirely within their rights to sell it on if they want to. You said you don’t know what the cards were purchased for and are basing these ‘huge profit’ claims on numbers that are probably way off the mark.. as Joey says, do better

Its scummy if your gifted and turn around less than 5 minutes and sell. Other than that its business i suppose. Even investing has a sense of putting up your own hard cash that you must sit on for a long time.
In my opinion, it doesn't matter... like at all... People buy booster boxes for $100 and hold them for a few years and sell them for $450+... it's really no different. Crucify everyone in the sealed market if you think this is bad. If you have something exclusive why not get fair market value for it?? She's not just a Content Creator, she runs businesses. Idc. Also, men simp for women of all ages from across the world all the time even though they have absolutely no chance of getting with the person they simp for.
If she got them for free do you expect her to just keep them? Or sell them at a discount? She allegedly got them for 100$ what if she got them at 700, and sells them for 1k each. Is that scalping? I mean by definition sure, but who wouldn’t want to buy something at a discount and instantly sell for a profit? That’s the business of being a reseller. You're not getting the point, it's not about how reselling works, it's about setting a bad example, a huge part of the pokemon TCG community does not like scalpers, yet she's doing that and no one is saying anything. Not only that but she's swimming in money, her selling them is greedy. She could have made a giveaway for the followers or something.
Can you explain more about the mystic situation because I know Ryan doesn’t like him but I fuck with his videos and team so I just want to know more about that
Getting attention......isn't always a good thing. Don't put little positives in the middle of ripping these folks. Just comes off really bad. Pretty sad actually.
Are we not all scalpers? We buy a pack for let's say retail. We open said pack and hit gold. Well in some cases we'll sell or trade said gold for said price which is way more than the pack price. No one says gold should be the price of the pack we pulled it from because someone is willing to pay a set price that gold is worth. So yes, we are all scalpers. The argument now ends.
This is a weird take, especially regarding trading cards/collectibles, in which this type of reselling behavior drives the hobby so much. "Scalping" wouldn't exist if there wasn't a market willing to pay a premium to someone who got there first, or got the lucky pull, won the prize, etc. And in an hobby where everything revolves around chance and luck, it's even more prominent. Can you explain how this is any different than every local shop paying 50-70% for buys or trade value and immediately charging 100% market value for that same product? Or how your mystery packs that don't always provide equivalent value are any better? Or how creators charging for pack for breaks they profit off of or literally any of the ways we make money in this hobby is any different than this? Is it just because of the size of the profit? Is it because she didn't include a giveaway? It seems like as long as someone pays at least half the market value for an item and resell, they are flippers and it's totally respectable but if you get it cheaper than that and still sell for full market, you're scum. It's super weird to think if she found or was offered a really good deal that she is obligated to share that deal with everyone else. Great if she does, not a problem if she doesn't. And if market value for those cards is close to her asking price, she is doing no different than every single one of us. I offer 50-70% for collections and sell them out on tcgplayer for market value. level 4 star seller with 100% feedback but i guess im ripping people off lol. this isn't logical to be upset about. people are only upset it didn't happen to them. if they sell, she offered a fair price. if they don't, they have to come down. If there is a market, she is doing nothing wrong. if there isn't, she can't sell them and again - nothing wrong. it's a worse look to go to a platform where you share an audience with someone and try to make them look bad with absolutely no factual information. And even if you had receipts that she got them cheap or free, you just look jealous and need to justify it. not the content this hobby needs or wants brother
This is such a reach and you’re relying on the most basic definition of scalping, which isn’t what most people mean. When people hear scalping, they think of people selling concert tickets to desperate people for an insanely inflated rate. This is not that.

Let me explain another concept. When a certain amount of money (x) chases a certain amount of product (y) then; as the amount of product goes up, the price goes down. As the amount of product goes down, the price goes up. If x=y then x/2=2x also 2x=y/2 This is how capitalism works. Now, if we should cry enough such that the government must now be involved to make it "fair", the government will confiscate and then allocate to their chosen distribution chain. A certain amount of product is lost with every handler and whatever is left is sold at an agreed to price point. Stick with capitalism children, at least it produces enough for "scalping" to exist. Any other form of control leaves the people with guns as sole distributers and everything 8s available at "scalper" prices.

It's capitalism at work. Don't know why people are always crying
Look, last year at Pokemon world 2023 there were plenty of well known creators and other resellers who sold staff promos for $750-1000+ a piece. And they have more than 6+ copies in hand. I have proof as well. Let’s get the facts straight before throwing stones. This was a terrible take.

I agree brother 100 percent

She’s aloud to do what she wants inside the law. Yes she’s making a huge profit very quickly, but it’s not against the law. Also remember, nobody is being forced to buy anything from her.

Rev and Vault makes roughly $45 on each base Tier pack, which is fine. They need to profit to be able to throw in the expensive pks from the upper tiers. Same with you. It's obviously a gamble on the ppl's part.

It’s not always about the opinion but how the ‘opinion’ is portrayed. Especially when you’re specifically putting content out to an audience.
Acquiring, buying and then holding and/or selling hot cards and items is the lifeblood of Pokemon and why it is fun. What do you want her to do? Hold them all for her personal collection? Not try acquiring them? If given the chance, would you turn them down? I suppose you would give them away in videos?
“sUpPoSe yOu wOuLd giVe tHem aWaY”. 🙄

You're not getting the point, it's not about how reselling works, it's about setting a bad example, a huge part of the pokemon TCG community does not like scalpers, yet she's doing that and no one is saying anything.

The Pokemon community is full of broke people.
I think it’s even worse that she’s a creator.. like way worse….
The juul in hand, I see you Brodie. That just got you a subscriber lmao

Let me explain another concept. When a certain amount of money (x) chases a certain amount of product (y) then; as the amount of product goes up, the price goes down. As the amount of product goes down, the price goes up.
If x=y
then x/2=2x
also 2x=y/2
This is how capitalism works.

I mean I know of her, I don't know you or the other jealous people. So she has worked harder in that sense.
@@Holy-Pickle1 yea she for sure worked hard to exploit person x and y. No one is jealous lmao, just calling out creator bs.
@@Holy-Pickle1 and further she waited to go there and make a profit, no different than someone reselling Walmart boxes.
@@Hellscollect fair enough, I think differently
I am confused, no disrespect but couldn't you have contacted her first. I understand that this is alledged evidences but if you know this person and are able to contact her (and even you don't) you could have tried to reach out before posting this video. Its more reliable source when you have the opportunity to reach out and gather info from the source themselves aka pokechole.
i do 100% agree, (as of now) my take remains the same as i did reach out after the video and was still not given an answer regarding the price… but i do agree i should’ve reached out prior. regardless, the price paid is still alleged and my take stays the same
Attack first, ask questions second and then expect a response. Really?
@@ShinyVert you’re actually a moron 🤣
people think its okay for her since its a girl and they praise her for that. thats reality its a sad era
Let me get the Bic out cause I'm about to go scalping.
Bro your channel is bigger than Chloes?
I would have sold them for £1000
