    Good Afternoon from Texarkana Arkansas now that's my kind of job those 2 Ole boys sitting on each side of it have it going on all they need is a umbrella and a small cooler Heck yaaaaa have a great weekend stay cool gonna hit around a °100 for the next week or so

    When I was a kid in Eastland County, Texas, I worked with one of those things. I was usually the "wire man", where the guy with the green cap is sitting. It was very often "peanut" hay, which is much heavier than the straw that those guys are using. The bales had to be tight.

    We had a John Deere 24T square baler with a 2 cylinder Wisconsin engine when I was growing up in the 70's. This baler was probably made in the 60's and had a hay pickup reel and an automatic knotter and tier system. My dad pulled that baler with a old Farmall Model H from the late 1940's. He baled thousands of bales of hay for people in the community with that setup.
