What? from where?
Andrea Libman is just plain awesome - talented and charmingly disarming and self-effacing (humble about her amazing popularity and wide appeal). And beautiful, particularly when she visited Michael Morones and read to him as Pinkie. That takes a big heart and some amount of bravery, considering his story and circumstances. (But if anyone could heal him of his injury and pain, Andrea as Pinkie would be the catalyst.)
I love her so much as Fluttershy, I'd feel self-conscious following her Twitter and messaging her, least I seem like a stalker. I feel better just leaving her be to perform her art and not be a distraction.
TL;DR - she rocks, whoo-hoo.
Story and circumstances? The boy you speak of tried to kill himself by strangling himself with a neck tie because of relentless bullying due in part to being an ardent fan of MLP as well as various other personal problems and is currently trapped in some persistent vegetative state due to oxygen being cut off from his brain. No bravery needed really, just a conviction to help someone in trouble. Though I honestly doubt Andrea can fix long term brain damage.
Andrea just seems like the type of woman that could make you happy even when you are having the worst day ever.
Her real voice sounds like Pinkie

I know that the two of them were hanging out a lot during the show. There's a very palpable acting community in Vancouver--you end up working with the same people over and over again.
Case in point: both Andrea and Tabitha had roles in G3 cartoons.
Check out Trevor Devall's "Voiceprint" podcast: he's a VA from Vancouver and, over several episodes, interviewed basically all the major VAs in the city (including many of the FiM cast members).

Andrea Libman does a nice job sounding like Tara Strong's Bubbles from The Powerpuff Girls. That is what Pinkie Pie's voice is inspired from.

I believe in Lauren Faust's original pilot Tara actually voiced Pinkie Pie, but for whatever reason they chose to have her only play Twilight in the final show (it could very well have been money; Tara Strong easily makes more than any of the other mane 6 actors. Paying her for 2 characters might have been more than Hasbro was willing to spend).
