From other videos I've seen, you shouldn't have to take the whole bracket out. You push the tabs in on the white retainers on the back of the lens and push it forward out the front side of the truck. Then push the new one back in. Much easier from what I seen unless this job here has something different about these lenses that I didn't see.
From what I remember (and it’s been a minute) the 14-15 Silverado set up inside was different than the 07-13 and that’s why the housing/bracket all had to come out. There are definitely things I’ve learned since then to make it easier though.
I replace some was fighting with them then I found out by pulling on the light it pops out. They are easy to replace once they are out. I'm thinking if you can loop some large zip ties around the back of the light spray some lube around & behind the light like silicone lube & pull on the zip ties to get them out. I used some wire to get the ones I pulled out felt like they were going to break then they pop out. There is also an adjustment behind there to aim the lights the retainers have a ball & socket system so it best to lube them so next time they come out easier.
Anyone know where to buy fog light adjustment screws for a 2010 silverado? Doing a fog light delete delete so bought end caps with holes, wiring harness, even these fog lights, but no adjustment screws included so the lights can't be secured at all or adjusted. Ideas?
Great vid, because you seem to like your truck, I have a question for you; I recently got a 2014 Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71 with 50K miles and it looks brand new!, but after reading costumer reviews online I am freaking out and I don’t know if this is a not reliable truck, coming from a Toyota family I never experienced this type of fear. I like the truck, so far the heating seat was not working and the sliding window was broken when I got it from the dealer.., should I give it the chance or should I explore toyota territory. Thanks for any advice.
Jose David Delgado It’s really hard to say. I’ve not had any issues with my truck. Mass manufacturing by default will lead to issues. I’ve owned Toyota and GM products and my experience with both have been exceptional.
Man I have had Chevrolet trucks for over 30 years they have been great trucks for me I got a 1999 Chevrolet truck out here now with over 323.000 miles on it don’t smoke at all uses bout half a quart of oil between oil changes and I got a 2014 Chevrolet truck in January of 2021 with 169000 miles on it I love this 2014 truck the best so much fun to drive, best of luck and Toyota are great vehicles also
04bluesilverado I don’t have a video right now but I can work on it. They definitely are brighter and provide a much wider pattern over stock. www.theoutdoorsden.com/single-post/2017/09/12/Morimoto-XB-LED-Fog-Light-Unboxing-and-Install check out that link for some photos.
Ryan Hermary it’s pretty difficult to get all the small bolts off of the plastic housing and maneuver in there comfortably. This method shouldn’t take too long, once you do one side it’s a breeze. It beats taking off the entire front bumper as one other install video showed.
Ryan Hermary I can confirm that to be able to get to the small 7mm bolts around the housing is very difficult. You are better off just taking the whole housing off. There are 5, 7mm bolts around the plastic light housing that need to be taken off to get to the light itself.
Would have been nice to see the damn things on
justin kohsman working on a night video. You can see pictures on my website. www.theoutdoorsden.com and look through the reviews section.
lol
Thanks man I watch 3 videos before I found yours and yea yours was way more down to earth for me thanks brother

How the heck do i adjust the fogs down once they are installed??

Ended up being a Great Video Buddy! As much as Morimoto makes, you would think that they would have an install Video, SMH...
I have a question that plastic black part that you put the light in what’s in called?

Hey where did you buy the bull bars or guard not sure what you would call it ? And if possible how much was it?
Did you have to get anti flicker harness?? Or did the computer accept them with out spazzing??
Andrew Brister plug and play. No issues.
Do you have a video with the light on at night ? Are they brighter ?

is your grille dipped if so hows that working out? I'm stuck between dipping or vinyl wrapping?
badbrewsy grille is dipped. After 3 years it’s finally at the point where I’d consider re-doing it.
Did you remove your front tires as we?
bsilva0887 I did not. Just turned the wheel all the way to one side and that was plenty of room.
What if your truck already has fog lights and you just want to replace the bulb with led bulbs
the great Salvador just find the correct bulb and it’s pretty easy to get it swapped out. No tools required, just pop off the clips.
If you put a led bulb into a reflective housing like the factory fogs, you’re gonna blind every oncoming vehicle.
jason woodyard That’s what mine do, I just use them as a decent flood light while off road
Chevy could have added a few more bolts to make sure the bracket wasn’t going to move a millimeter. Lol😅
240$ fog lights is outrageous
Why wouldn't you just depress the white tabs while it was all installed in the truck. Would of taken you less then 5 min for both of them.

Gotta do it by feel ;)

Ryan Hermary trust me it aint happening that way i just did mine and believe me it aint easy mostly kuz of space
I don't think there's room to pull out the housing even if you're able to take off the little bolts
Still a lot of work
Brian Malone definitely but worth it.
Screw the instructions! Just watch this video… then you proceed to skip the steps…
*well
This is a fail instructions over all 👎
