His random appears at Spooky’s big two playing his Litchi and having SKD talk about how he should learn combos because he would dominate if he just learned litchi combos.
Hearing LK talk about how much hes struggled with confidence and being really affected by people calling him fraud and stuff is always really inspiring. Pros like to talk about having to always have this like zen attitude and not caring about that stuff but seeing someone that I reapect as much as LK actually say "yeah this is a real struggle and its difficult to deal with...but it *is* possible to deal with it and win" is a much more satisfying response to it. He'll forever be the GOAT to me for that. Thanks for getting him on this video.
No flame, i like the dude but are uou talking about due to his persona win? Because dude was in minazuki who was broken that patch, an 8 person tourney with no money, vs people who are no names. Literally not even listed on liquidpedia
In 2009-2010 Jiyuna's placings in tournaments would probably rank him a top 3 American MBAA player. He never got to play at Evo because he moved to Japan the year it was there. He qualified for SBO multiple times in BB as well.
@@warpticon there we are, i forgot that he was cracked at mbaa. Wasnt a stab at the dude saying hes not top level but ahh, he exaggerates the persona achievement a bit
dude fuck all that LK is an absolute legend in my eyes and honestly i would’ve had his back. That makes me mad as fuck that anyone would have ever been like that to him. He’s fucking cool and a good dude and helped so many people (me included) get into anime games. Love that guy
As someone who hasn't played any of the games mentioned in this video, I must say that it was pretty engaging watch. Felt like I just saw a man mature/evolve into a better version of himself through the lens of a fighting game and I loved every second of it. Thanks for the upload!
this was a really cool video, I just got into Strive this summer with evo, and I really liked the way that LK played Baiken, I still consider myself a beginner but I really like the attutude that he has and I find it inspiring, humble but not underestimating himself or his accomplishments and makes me want to get better and not letting my doubts or ego get in my way, just focusing on having fun and trying to improve as I go
Yooooo yall got LK?!?!?! 🔥🔥🔥🔥 I’ve always felt like he hasn’t had the notoriety of a lot of pro players in the fgc for som reason….so seeing that u guys got him on is so dope!!!
Great video! You're not talking about it but I started FG thanks to your Blazblue CS Evo 2011 winner's final against Tokido. I've been on and off in your footsteps since I've played Noel in BB, then Mitsuru and finally Millia in Strive, really appreciating your content! I've had the chance to meet Tokido at Brussels Challenge this year, so I hope one day I'll also get to see you as you both had such a big impact on my FG journey! Stay strong LK
nice interview! Lord Knight's mindset (doubting himself, then finding the will/inner strength to move on) and work ethic (playing all those different games, finding the wins against strong opponents) is truly something special.
Watched since late xrd early dbfz but met LK at CEO this year and that helped me get back into playing competitively again. I placed 97th in strive and 17th in bbcf at the same event. Since then I’ve been on the grind and regularly go to locals and on/offline stuff.
My competitive goat and inspiration. This sounds funny after everything said in the video, but I think the mental and ideas Lordknight puts out are some of the best in all of the FGC and it has really motivated me to get good and have fun
Damn this was a good watch. I really respect how honest and vulnerable he was willing to be about how the criticisms he got affected his confidence as a player and how he managed to overcome it. Very inspiring!
Met him when he came to Brazil for a tournament last year, he's not just an awesome fighting game player, he's also a really humble and nice guy. You'd never guess that this chill, friendly person could open you up with the nastiest, most unfair broken *ss Baiken 50/50s known to man 10 times in a round.
Watching LK beat Gobou and Nage live was like watching him win Evo 2 games in a row. Gobou won Evo Japan the day before and he hates fighting Faust with Baiken with every breath in his body. And he cleared both of them back to back.
There's such a stench of racism in how people discredit LK in his early years, I'm glad he overcame that and kept playing the game, I always enjoy his analysis and thoughts on games, he's very rational and insightful, you can learn a lot just by aspiring to behave like this.
American anime fans who have been following the genre for a while know, LK is legit. This was a great video, great insight from LK. Hearing LK talk about how people wanted him to throw his match against Banana Ken, it took me back. Throwing matches and match fixing was extremely common back in the day. It sucked. LK deserved better from the community, to be sure. Glad to see this has changed.
Alt title: The story of LK confronting his own shadow. lol For real though, it's an inspiring story. He's one of my favorite players to watch, both in content and tournaments. The FGC is better with him still around, glad he never gave up despite the haters.
LK basically ignited my passion for anime fighters with his P4A Mitsuru. Always felt bad he got such hate back then. Youll snatch the evo crown in strive for sure LK!
I feel like LK has had one of the hardest fighting game careers out of anyone, it's super impressive how he has improved over the years and it's super motivating and reassuring that even with all that hardship and self-doubt LK had worked through it.
All top FG players are incredible. NOT all top FG players can explain games in a way that make fans realize just how amazing they are. LK is one of the rare ones.
Jiyuna. Living proof you don't need basic knowledge of game mechanics, skill, practice, etc. Just to pick a character with a DP and gay dive kick and generally play like shit.
What are some of your favorite Lordknight moments or matches?

Bonjour
The set vs Tiger Pop was definitely hype af he almost beat leffen too
I watched his 3 man run post Evo Japan live. It was every bit as good as he describes it.
Man LK looks 19 and 55 at the same time. My GOAT.
“Yeah, it’s not fun, you can hold that.”
God LK is a goat

It takes a bad bad man to make a corny name like Lord Knight cool.
😂 now that you mention it, he actually pulled it off
Honestly great player aside, that probably really is LK's greatest feat
I always thought he got it from an MMORPG called Elsword. There’s a character class called Lord Knight.
@@susanoo8468 Fraudulent FE fan spotted

LK is for sure goated. Remember meeting him when I first got into the fgc back in like 17’.
Also this was dope thank you for this.
this whole thing shoulda just had one title card: LK vs LK
and the nice part is it looks like he won
I'm sure @animeilluminati loves the fact that he was your first "gods can bleed" arc.
@18:08 Good you came to that conclusion. That was the era where everyone was called a fraud even when they won.
LK is such a goated humble fella, real chill and very informative content creator

As a lordknight fan, this is the best video from this channel for me. The editing and the pacing, it has such a fitting vibe.
The goat, god bless him, never understood all the ire he ever got, I'm glad to see him in a better state of mind.
Lordknight is goated. A thoughtful and mature voice in the FGC. It's clear he's gone through a lot of personal growth. You love to see it

finding the necessary confidence to accomplish my goals has been the story of my life, so hearing LK tell his story really fed my soul💕🙏🏾
Yume genuinely won me over with the way he consoled LK after that Grand Finals...You could tell that he felt for dude.
Class move.

Fantastic, insightful video into the first player to really bring me into anime fighters.
Lmao he wasn’t kidding about the started in smash stuff I never saw a pic of him that old he’s got the smashfro and everything
Looking at all the characters LK's invested time into over the years, I really resonate with his picks

What a cool idea for a series. Also love LK. What a great guy.
This was such a cool video, I wish he wouldve talked a little more about the online evo top8 with Millia tho
