I hope you are writing and creating music like this, you may call it rubbish but I call it Pure heaven. You amaze me with everything you do on your keyboards. You are a walking orchestra and a Fabulous teacher. Happy New Year Leigh, Best wishes for magic this year. Patrick.
Next part in the learning journey: Great demonstration and guidance. Amazing to have all that power and extensibility is available in the Genos and Tyros. For those who want to take it to the next level: Something you've already covered in your other videos....adjust/balance each channel mix (including drums), explore/adjust effects options per channel (reverb, chorus, compression (percussion), etc.) then apply your overall overall master effects! Amazing.
I just want to say thank you so much for all of your recent Genos tutorials. You are a brilliant musician and a very proficient teacher on the Genos Workstation. ❤
Great multi-tracking tutorial. In general this is the best channel about Genos tutorials. I am looking forward to see more tutorial on Genos (as Yamaha has only small stupid videos about Genos features).
I've had the privilege of owning one of these incredible keyboards since they first came out, replacing a Tyros 3. Your videos are inspirational and show me that I've really only scratched the surface on what these can do. Thank you and keep the videos coming please.
Hello Leigh, Oh sweet Lord what an amazing song this is!!! Definitely NOT rubbish at all. And you can take that to the bank Leigh. This is again an amazing tutorial. I have learned so much since I subscribed to your channel. Everything you said about this so well put together instrument is so so true. You will never get bored. Thanks again Leigh. I really appreciate your amazing content. I wish you could share this amazing song with me,....
Thank you Leigh. I don't have a Genos, I have a very long in tooth Korg PA800. I SHOULD be able to do most of what you did on the PA800, but what I don't have and never have had is your chops and music education. I don't know that I would know HOW to create the actual music. You said you were just messing around with the song and that it wasn't anything, but by the time you got it done, it was pretty amazing. Right now, if I were to replace my PA800, and I'd like to, the PA5X is the way I'd want to go. I've always been impressed with the Genos, I think that Yamaha and Korg as well as Ketron make some absolutely wonderful kit and if I could have all three, I would. Thank for sharing this with us. Inspirational!
Goodmorning Leigh,...I couldn't help myself. I watched the entire video again. What a beautiful song this is!!! You really touched my heart with this song. AMAZING,...what I also see in your video's is you embracing your instrument and the instrument embracing you. Do I need to say more?
Thank you so much for the excellent presentation. A fabulous keyboard, and an equally fabulous player. Loved your instant composition. I noticed the the voice part that you recorded in channel 6 did not play back in the final mix. However, keep up the good work. Best wishes.
We would also like to see more Genos tutorials about multi-recording. For example, lets say I want to do all recording and some mastrering on my Genos (create a finished music piece all inside Genos), how could I do that, step-by-step. It would be so great to watch this, as many of as can only work only using our Workstation and no pc.
Hi.Leigh. Great tutorial as usual and beautifully played. The melody of your composition reminded me of the title music of a tv detective series called 'Shakespeare & Hathaway'. Its a very relaxing tune. Maybe you should go in to writing songs for tv series.
Such a great tutorial and song! Thank you for the inspiration. Just one question: how would somebody use one of the tracks to record a background vocal? Thanks again for all you do for the Genos community!
Another great tip, Leigh, you always make things easy to follow. I have my Genos set up using your organ conversion guide for Tyros 5 in Yamaha Club magazine. Is there some way I can have the left voice on the whole lower, at the moment it’s exactly the same as the upper. Thanks, Dave
Not rubbish at all! Very helpful video. I have one question: have you discovered a way to loop a track? I haven't been able to find anything in the literature. I don't mean using chord looper. Thanks!
Is it possible to record audio on the Genos if it (the Genos) is played via MIDI from Cubasis on iPad? So the song has been sequenced as MIDI in Cubasis and plays fine on Genos via USB. How do I record it as audio on Genos? Cheers
Good day to you, please tell me why my right hand is not recording on channel 7.8, like yours..I have records on top of the composition, only on tracks 1,2, and3. I have a Yamaha sx900.
@@LeighWilbraham I probably figured it out...when you make an additional recording in any channel 6,7.8.. and click on the picture, you always need to choose Right 1 2 or 3, and I did it.. and before, I chose channel 8, clicked on the picture and selected Rhythm2, therefore there was no recording, it was not correct. After your reply to me, I started looking for the error again and found it..thank you.

Thanks. As long as you enjoy making music, that’s all that matters.
Best tutorial. Thank you. This is why I bought the Genos.
Great, I was a bit bloked on this ...Thanks for help and your melody is really nice ! I'd like playing like you do ...

I do like making my own Melodie’s.
Absolutely beautiful
Great tutor...easy to follow...I have done this....done ok..but have trouble saving and recalling the track..
Such a great tutorial and song! Thank you for the inspiration. Just one question: how would somebody use one of the tracks to record a background vocal? Thanks again for all you do for the Genos community!
You would need to use the audio recorder and not the midi recorder to record a vocal.

You can record the midi file as audio in the Genos. Yes.
Excellent advice tutorial. I wish this record facility had copy measures.
Hi, lovely improvising
Very well explained, thank you
Thank you, thata inspiring!
Can you please do an example for freestyle recording too?
Please keep this up very very helpfull
Thanks

Yes there is - I’ll show you in a video.

Is it possible to convert that midi to audio.
thanks so much for your videos that's very helpful, can i use this midi file at logic pro and using the voices from the GENOG ?
You could - import the file then use the track separate by midi channel.
Hello kieth can you rerecord the drums aswell like changing the beat into a reagge..
great video - one thing i never quite figure out is how you do mix after the initial recording in multi-track. it never seems to work for me.
The verse reminds me of the wonderful main theme from Ico (you were there).
Great job

Interesting that the file seems to show the track as 54 bpm 2/4 while it’s obviously 6/8
Cool beans - thanks!

good morning, can you give me a personal opinion? would you ever sell a genos1 yamaha for a fantom 8 roland?🙏🙏
Me - absolutely not.
Can you record any audio into a midi channels like a guitar of playing a real guitar instead of using audio recording
You can’t record audio into midi.
@@LeighWilbraham I notice in audio recorder channel mode the first one sounds more clearer and different to the 2nd audio recorder mode
@@frankr7239 think the sample rate is lower on the second audio layer.
