How do you play around removal during the GB8 turn? I find it difficult to deal with decks like Kagero and especially Narukami because they retire or bind the attacking unit and then I can’t pay the cost of the skill to continue attacking. Another problem I face with this deck in my local play group is decks that prevent G-guardians like oracle think tank that use “Still Water Festival Deity, Ichikishima” or Mega colony that use “Guilty Empress, Darkface Gredora” which hit this deck harder than the rest. Most of the defensive power the deck has is the G-guardians in addition to needing them open for the big turn. Using the Dudley heals is also weaker when I can’t G-guard because they have lower numbers and can’t be used in the early game for heal-guarding. Another problem I have is dealing with Link Joker. Players play both Messiah and chaos breaker and each gives me different hurdles to overcome. Messiah has early offence that can end the game before I reach my big turn with 30,000 power attacks that multi attack and Chaos breaker locks my field preventing me from playing while having the ability to take away my force markers during my turn weakening attacks. I don’t hate playing against any deck and just change my strategy when I need to deal with one of these problematic decks. I switch to defence and try to preserve resources while the opponent decks out. My last question is about dealing with the overwhelming offence of Neo Nectar’s “Untainted Holy Damsel, Green Katrina” I’ve played against a vanilla centred variant that superior rides to grade 3 strides while I’m grade 1 or 2 and pummels me with attacks of 40,000 before I can G-guard. I have no idea what deck is fast enough to deal with it. The only solution I have is damage denying to prevent the superior ride but it’s still very strong. Thank you for posting about Spike. You were a big inspiration to me in the past and one of the reasons I still play spike to this day. It’s awesome having spike be in tops and usually when it happens it’s because of you. 🙌🏾
Ohhhh, it's Great that you also found Orien Sky diver for GB8. With the new Regalis Piece as well Orien can be effective as you can use her first skill to SB and call more as well as get a free draw and Bracing Angel Ladder gives pseudo resist which makes it easier to deal LJ, Narus, and KG. It's only a 1 of regalis piece but the amount of draws with spikes you'd get it most of the time. Gotta love theory crafting with spikes prem GB8 combos. Keep up the good work man
The opponent is like at 4 or 5 damage when you reach GB8, so the final turn might be effective.
