I love Sara and how she has changed as an artist over the years, and especially proud of her broadway debut with Waitress. She is so wonderful. I have to say, though, I miss the days of her with this band. They had a chemistry together that is so rare, and it shows in this cover performance. Incredible. All the love to you, Sara.
I love that image of a group of people all leaning in together at one or two mic's and then making and blending beautiful harmonies. Love Mumford and Sons, but this is also pretty damn awesome. The woman has talent!
I get why people keep doing covers of Mumford and Sons songs - now, I'm not saying anything about Sara in particular (in fact, I really enjoy her music) but people know that this is the best music there's been in a while, and they probably can't do any better.
@kimonbees I am completely with you on that! I just hate it when you're trying to listen to someone sing and what you hear instead is some els professing their love for the singer.
indeed, one strange thing about mumford and sons, most of their songs have sad lyrics but an upbeat tone, this song is tragic, and sadly i relate to every line
good cover but like so many I agree not the same without the banjo. Also, while I love her work and her voice tough covering such a distict voice and sound from mumford and sons.
I respect you for your comment and for not blasting away at me for my own personal opinion. I do retract the way I rudely commented about mumford and sons because as you expressed, they are a quality amongst themselves and are appreciated by many. Their folk genre, in my opinion, is a far outdated style of music that is not very appealing. I am a musical artist/composer/producer and i hold a degree in music. I only bashed the group because their quality of musical artistry is novice.

Love you Sara
IS there anything she can't sing, absolutely fucking amazing
I love this because they just look like they're having a blast performing. That's what music is about. Sara never fails to amaze me.
Talent will out!!! And this lady's got charisma and tons of talent. She lights up a stage! No fear.... jes get 'er done. ....love that lady.....
She says she's moving on from the "sad shit," but "Little Lion Man" is actually a pretty sad song. It just has lots of feeling and soul behind it.
Love her hair!
I was at this show, your video turned out way better than mine. And I luckily was not so close to that girl... oy.
I love singing along with Mumford. I love singing along with Sara. PERFECT MIX! Now when is Mumford gona do "Gravity" !?!?!?
Is it weird that I love her covers 1000 times more than her originals?
This is great, so are all of them.
"Is she gonna say it? Is she gonna say it? YES. With VIGOR."
she does a damn good job with this song!
I love that image of a group of people all leaning in together at one or two mic's and then making and blending beautiful harmonies. Love Mumford and Sons, but this is also pretty damn awesome. The woman has talent!
I'm so glad this exists.
She gives me chills.
this what cover is supposed to be like., because it's still played like a performance. great job sara
i love the harmony at the chorus.
I love how all my favorite bands and singers know each other. It makes for good listening!
Sara should do a folk album. She clearly loves it
One of my all time favourite artists doing my favourite song by one of my all time favorite bands...yup.
love sara bareilles more than life itself
I get why people keep doing covers of Mumford and Sons songs - now, I'm not saying anything about Sara in particular (in fact, I really enjoy her music) but people know that this is the best music there's been in a while, and they probably can't do any better.

THIS IS FREAKING AMAZING
I love her so much.
She loves putting the emphasis on the F bomb lolol. Great cover though! Only thing missing is a banjo!
This looks like lots of fun, that's what music is about :)
Wow I love this.
She sang this at her concert in Tulsa last summer too. It was amazing. :)

That was awesome!
Nice Job! I LOVE this song!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE.
Is there a version with her on iTunes??
indeed, one strange thing about mumford and sons, most of their songs have sad lyrics but an upbeat tone, this song is tragic, and sadly i relate to every line
I was standing right in front of them for this show.
Ugh *DEAD* I love you.
You can tell how much she loves to let her sailor mouth fly based on how much she gets into, "I really fucked it up this time". Love this, and her!
everysong of Mumford and Sons has "soul" from Marcus, actually. Thats why not all could cover their songs.
I like how they got Bill Nye the Science Guy to play the accordion
Theres absolutely nothing this Gal can't do. x
I love how the guitarist is jokingly imitating Marcus' guitar playing-style.
A M A Z I N G
Everytime she says "fuck", in every song she does, I love her a little more xD
"Okay, we're sad with the sad shit. Let's move on!"
Hands down best night of my life. And it only cost me $10.
@calipunkprincess01 nope. this was before that, with Elizabeth and the Catapult
To clarify; you know that the men playing for her aren't Mumford & Sons, yeah?
"we're done with the sad shit"
*Little lion man starts playing*
You sure you're done with the sad shit
When I saw this on my youtube feed I literally fucking gasped, like for real gasped
@tania789s I cannot agree with you more! you can really see her passion for what she does
Sittin´On the DOcj of the Bay is great!
Was this when she was on tour with Sugarland?
I like it, though I wish that girl would stop yelling/screaming so much. :/
good cover but like so many I agree not the same without the banjo. Also, while I love her work and her voice tough covering such a distict voice and sound from mumford and sons.
Mumford and Sons-- they're a pretty cute bunch! :D
Hah I loved how she said "fucked."
LMFAO!! good job!
Is that Aragorn on the cello??
What does it say about people when they think the highlight of this is that she swears? Are you 12?
here's my cover of this song...hope you like it, too :) Little Lion Man - Mumford and Sons (cover)
LMAO 😂🤣 I'm done with the sad "Shit" too baby! Yeah!! 😀
@AnAverageMay I sort of wish you had! ;)
one of the better covers of this song, but still nothing on Mumf!
i think its a really nice cover but come on, where the hell is the banjo?!
Is that Alex Clare playing the shakers?

That's hilarious!!!
@kimonbees i know!! so annoying. ive just mentally had to tune her out...
she's such a cool chick.
@eBabe177 if you call belting good
It was alright, but no one can even compare the originators. Shes very talented though
@maryorth - I know, the screaming audience member is making me die inside. That's why I can't handle most live shows.
@tania789s she does fail to amaze me here. sorry.
"O.K. we're done with the sad shit"
Your video has the best audio! But OH MY GOD THAT GIRL SCREAMING IS SO ANNOYING!! :p
"alright, were done with this sad shit"
LMAO...it took three people just to do what Marcus does.
Better than Taylor Swift cover White Blank Page.
I liked the cover but I disagree with Sara. Despite the upbeat tempo, this song's lyrics are really sad to me.
Don't you love when you can't download a cover cos an annoying girl is screaming over it?
