Umar ibn al-Khattab (RA) was one of the outstanding figures of early Islam. His crowning achievement was laying the foundation of the Islamic Empire. He belonged to the clan of Adi of the tribe of Quraysh. He was a businessman by profession. He was one of the few in Mecca who could read and write in those days. In his youth he was proficient in wrestling, horseback riding, swordsmanship, and oratory.

There were similar narrations of Umar RA doing the same thing. He learned from Abu Bakr RA & kept doing the same thing for the sake of Allah
