When using the mag case on a mag head (in my car) you can’t turn it. It attaches with the magnet in the correct orientation. You can use the mag case on a quad lock head (I have it on my bike), I need to turn it 90degrees to lock.

Will this work on a generic (non charging) MagSafe type car dash/vent mount. I want to use a flat type magent mount in my car so I can turn the phone 360 degrees to suit my viewing angles, it seems the Quad Lock Mag head (both charging and non-charging) have the protruding knuckle - it doesn't make sense in a car other than lining it up correctly for Qi/Magsafe charging - but looks like the phone can only be vertical or horizontal 90° or 180° I want more freedom in the car that throw it on Magnet mount and turn it any direction I need it. Prefer to charge with USB C for super fast charging and not get very hot.
Hi 👋🏼 the car mount can be turned to any viewing angle, at 3:33 in the video you can see a pivot ball hinge. This can be rotated to any orientation. The phones are front heavy so you do need to use the ring to secure what viewing angle you’ve picked. The actual phone can be attached to the MagSafe in landscape or portrait mode and the ball hinge can then further manipulate the exact angle you want for viewing. I use the charger with standard USB as I don’t have USB C in my car. I’m not sure how good an adapter would be. Hope that helps ✌🏼
The most annoying point that I didn’t realise before using this kit is the thumb/finger holding ring can not be used at the same time as the MagSafe car charger. So I do need to constantly take that off my phone case in the car and then sometimes forget to put it back on when I leave the car.
Does the case still locks if you turn it half turn when using the mag head?
