This is helpful unfortunately I know nothing about welding... but u do understand why you had to weld a piece in. I wish they made them to fit correctly for us low key DIY-ers.
Do some more searching! I remember seeing it somewhere! I think it was UA-cam! I think it’s meant for just the garages it fits! Roll up your door and take a picture from the side! See if the profile it is is what they provide by looking in the Instructions!
Is that the style garage door that doesn't come with a chain pulley set-up that you have to manually push up with your hands like at storage facilities?
What model garage door is this..Janus? It appears some don't have a very long driveshaft/axle whereas yours does. Also, the brackets change a lot between models. I'm going to look at mine today. Thx for the vid!
Josh are you talking about the big gap between the door when it is all the way down. My Carolina Carports shop had this. I can send you a picture of how I filled this gap in to keep heat or A/C in if you want me to?
Silly question. Interested in metal garages with rollup doors. That metal mounting bracket you made did the mounting bolts have to go through to the outside? Thanks.
Hi everyone I need some help. I just finished installing my opener like this one and having trouble setting it up. When I go through the setup I set the down where I want it to stop then push set. I then put it up to where I want it to stop and push set. But then when I push the button for it to go down it only goes like an inch and then stops. If I disengage the clutch and lower the door then re engage the clutch and push open button it goes up nice. Driving me nuts. Any ideas. Thanks
@@huntah2k Yes I just tried it again. It tells you to set down first and then up. Up works great. Down only moves about an inch when you press the down button
What is the outside diameter of the shaft? I’m looking to just slide a larger pipe around the original one but want to make sure it will fit in the u bolt.
@@taylorlindsay1262 I really don't know the outside diameter of the shift I cannot see that anymore. Looking online the hole through the garage door opener is 1.6 inches that will be the max. Also my friend put up a garage with roll up doors from different manufacturer I remember his shaft had different dimensions than mine.

Yr rite those instructions suck ass! And thats why you never said anything else about adjustment, i reccomend no one buys one of these junk things, i bought one made a bracket to move it out welded a pc of pipe on the end, all of that was great, i just dont know how to adjust it, very generic and complete junk quality !!!

Do you have a video on programming the upper and lower limits of the door?
Sorry i dont. Cant remember exactly how.
I looking for this too
Still using this? Got any pictures of the brackets you had to make?
I don’t see any safety lights on the bottom of the door. What if your kid 🧒 walks under it while in the down position?
It has a pressure sensor or something build inside. It will push a certain amount and then back off and go back up
You can always make another kid, hopefully a smarter one.
Thanks for posting. Not sure why anyone would dislike this video. Is this unit still going strong for you?
Yes still working great. No issues at all. Still quiet and smooth
Still working 2 years after this comment?

I'm not sure what model off the top of my head this is but the metal rod i butt welded an extension to it so this would work
is it strong enough to keep a person from forcing it open?
Yes you cant move it.
What batteries fit remote mine did not come with any batteries. Thank you
GP alkaline 27A 12v battery
Can you explain all the buttons on the remote? Mine has 4, will the same remote operate different openers???
Im not sure. I only use the one button to open and close the door.
Need to set remote having trouble
Off the subject but what did you use for insulation in the ceiling...I have one of the carport garages as well.....thank you

No i just used extra stock and bolted to the inside of the tube
@@huntah2k thanks. Great design. Hard to cost justify traditional doors for these buildings and all the space you save.
Can you install mines 😂 thanks for posting this
How did you set to where you want your doors to stop at? These instructions suck. What do you do to set it where you want it to stop.
Im sorry i cant remember exactly how but i do remember setting the bottom first the the top afterward 🤷♂️
This is what I’m having an issue with.
It’s only rolling the door half way up.
I can’t figure out how to set it to roll all the way up
Yes havein same problem as Ray ATM
Does it close automatically or you have to close it ?
It closes automatically
what is it called
Do these lock the door?
Yes. You cant manually open the door unles you pull the cable
Thanks!!!

Maybe a faulty motor.. or something stuck inside it
Did you figure it out? Setting mine up tomorrow hopefully
Where's the link to order this

Does anyone know if that is a right side opener or a left side opener or if it matters. Thanks
You can program it to open / close on eitherside
@@huntah2k Thanks
Did you need to extend the shaft if so what did you use? Thanks
I welded a 6" long pipe on the end to extend it
I had a friend with a lathe turn down a pipe so it slips in but is flush with the original shaft, then spot welded around the joint
