A Biblical church is IMO, one that takes the Bible seriously and follows it. This means the Bible is viewed as the word of God and human traditions do not usurp it
mattm7798...I wish it were true but Scripture still has to be interpreted and, as you and I both know, Christians have different interpretations for the same verse. Baptism is necessary vs not necessary. Salvation can be lost vs cannot be lost. God bless.
On my journey to find Christ I've been to many different kinda churches denomination ones , and non denomination I haven't seen that much differents as far as worship goes, these day I attend an in home church
If for example one is baptistic in their doctrine they will naturally gravitate to a Baptist church. The same is true for someone who is Wesleyan in that they will likewise gravitate towards a Wesleyan church and so on. When your own beliefs do not line up with any of the denominational churches which tend to have very detailed statements of faith then where do you attend church? You will naturally look for a nondenominational church with a more basic statement of faith that allows for some theological wiggle room.
The only Church that started on Pentecost was the Catholic Church and the head of the Apostles was Simon who Jesus changed his name to Kepha or Peter in English which means Rock. The canon of scripture came centuries after Jesus ascended to Heaven. The Bishop of Rome has always been the head of the Christian Church. Protestants deleted 7 OT books decided the Lord's supper is just a symbol they basically changed Christianity to adhere to their interpretation of scripture. Jesus didn't start denominations..men did. Come back to the Catholic Church the fulness of the faith. The man in this video said it himself.. one faith, one lord one baptism. Yes.. there is a unified Church.. it's Catholic!!❤
Being raised Roman Catholic, I understand and appreciate your commitment to the Catholic church. Remember, Luther, Melanchthon, Zwingli, Calvin... were ostensibly, "Catholic" priests who were, in no small part, attempting to reform the excesses and Catholic churches' false teachings. Indulgences were an abuse of the church making people pay (originally to receive a certificate) that pardoned the punishment of their sins. Other issues emerged with the Anabaptists who rejected infant baptism, rather following Scripture for what is called "believer's baptism." These and other issues coalesced into what became known as the Reformation, the attempt to reform the excesses and abuses of the Catholic church.
@Michaelincontext Have you by chance looked into the many protestant pastors that have come into the Catholic Church? Such as Scott Hahn and many others? Maybe listen to their point of view. There is also the Coming Home Network that has testimony from protestants ministers that came home to the Church. Infant baptism has been practiced all along, the Bible says entire households were baptized and there is no scripture that says not to baptize infants. The protestants are all over the place even saying that baptism is not necessary at all depending on who you ask. Check out Douglas Beaumont a former evangelical now Catholic Bible scholar on you tube.
The only Church that started on Pentecost was the catholic (small c) Church, which began in Jerusalem, not Rome. It then spread to other cities, such as Damascus and Corinth, and eventually also to Rome. The one holy apostolic catholic Church is the Christian Church, of which the Roman Catholic church is one of many denominations. It is not now and never has been the only denomination.
There is no earthly authority for a local congregation belonging to Christ higher than their local Eldership. They too are just as under the authority of a 'thus saith the Lord' of the word of God as any other member. Christ is the head of the church and all authority is under him. Congregations of the Lord's church are to be autonomous and independent, while they can cooperate with each other. Use to be windows were made with individual panes of glass. You break one you don't break them all. They are independent. So, if the devil wanted to try and destroy the Lord's church, he would have to attempt to do it one congregation at a time. But if there is a fountain head of authority over multiple congregations, all he would have to do is corrupt those overseeing multiple congregations and could destroy hundreds with a single effort. God's design is better no matter how much man thinks they can improve on the organization of his church.
This guy is all over the place . Making sweeping statements about the intents of church fathers and church (dis)unity that aren’t supported by their own writings 🤦🏽♂️
I kinda love how Protestants have convinced themselves that visible unity is unachievable and even unnatural. But Dr., it just ain't true. I enjoyed the talk anyway. And God bless you.
Learned so much!!!! Thank you!
Happy Thanksgiving! So grateful for you!
Thank you for this video. God Bless You

In Jesus' church, he is the authority - not the Bible.
Um, Jesus is the Word of God

Hey Michael, my grandmother was Irene Easley and Grandpa was a big preacher in the midwest, Not a huge amount of Easley's out there. Let me know.
It is a rare name but to my knowledge, no relationship.
@@Michaelincontext My Easley family came from the eastcoast, Virginia, and Carolinas, related to Essex, Tom Owsley family. Garret and MacCleod.

Therefore the Catholic church is not the church of Christ.
Who founded his own church.

What is the big ring you have on your finger?
Ha! That's a class ring from Dallas Seminary that my father-in-law kindly gifted to me.
@@Michaelincontext thank you for the anser. BLESS

Well, I'm glad that you "kinda love how Protestants..." Since we're called to love one another. 😉
A charitable reply, sir. And yes, we are indeed called to love one another. You're one of the good guys, Mike. @@Michaelincontext
Jesus wasn't Catholic or Protestant.
