Mostly is now remixes, bollywood inspired stuff and short lived music nowadays from Indian Pop. Thank God to Pakistan and Coke Studio, we get something else to enjoy, otherwise world is around European chicks dancing with lights emitting from everywhere. Please, Lucky Ali, you need to come back.
Sifar is one of the best albums ever made. Filmi or non filmi. 90s, before or later. Sifar was my best friend at times, when no one else was around. Sifar taught me the value of melancholy, pathos and contemplation. That there are a thousand nuances between happiness and sadness. Sifar taught me to be my authentic self, at least with myself. A testament to the unbridled artistic freedom that the 90s provided to independent creators of music in their own voice, without the corruption of corporations and focus groups.

bring tears in my eyes each time I listen to Lucky Ali's music. Feelings, emotions and memories are too hard for me to explain...Remember me and my lahori mates used to put this in our car while roaming carefree. Everything has changed...and I believe that we need to accept change or else we will be left alone ! but it requires some backbone to absorb that pain and accept the change. Those were the days when music videos were made with heart. This one is a class apart. Lucky Ali was ahead of his times. The symbolic making of this beautiful song sets it apart from others.
@@aadityamurali18 I ll summarise the meaning for you The lady gives him a band ( here symbol of his identity) and tells him that he has been there before so our protagonist starts his journey inorder to find his native home or you can say roots in that quest he sees many things meets many people and that red indian (here representing god/ ancestors spirit) who was guiding his quest as you can see during his whole journey that red indian uplifts his hand whenever our protagonist is in between of any travelling like he is signalling or guiding our protagonist's journey at the end he reached his destination but (here is the message ) was it really his destination or the beginning of another new journey? He thought he has reached his home and finally where he belonged but no-one answers his knocking which forced him to put down the band that he carried during his whole journey (reflects that he is submitting his identity) and move on , putting down band symbolises death , we donot carry anything from this world after death everything has to be submitted here only even our identity like he submitted his identity as his journey ended and started a new journey ( incarnation) so in this way it was a complete cycle it started where it ended that's why his album is named 'sifar'meaning zero , it has neither end nor beginning it begins where it ends

Man! What a philosophical picturization of USA with such a beautiful series of words that describes the journey of a gypsy life......... A song which is way ahead of it's era.......
The video, the music everything so ahead of time. And the song theme...not daaru or party or naked women. Its about life and the journey. It is songs like this that make you wish time machines were real.
Brings back memories of old days.. childhood days were so special.. we who born in late 80's and early 90's were so lucky to get you lucky ali.. and could also experience d whole indipop scene of 90's.. god knows why such beautiful songs are not made today. Old is gold" Man when there was no such thing as internet and UA-cam "but how the songs lives on" damn I'm so proud of the fact I was born in that era today I'm 33 years" Lucky Ali is such a legend
Great cinematography ! Music and images were special in lucky Ali songs ! That black and white image with small piece of red cloth reminds me of Oscar winning Stephen Spielberg movie of 90s. Schindler’s list !
Listened to his songs on the radio and Fm, and my Walkman back in the 90s when I was a teenager, and now listening on super bass Woofer ! His vocal & music are still way better than present day singers and their songs ! I'm sure Luck Ali had supernatural abilities, that's why he could sing songs like today's ones 25- 30 years ago ! Love you Lucy Ali from Nepal 🇳🇵
Sifar says 'Every journey is a new beginning'. 'It's the oldest-known unit in the history of human communication'. It also says 'Containing nothing, it encircles everything. Without a beginning, without an end. It stretches from emptiness to infinity and back again.' 'The word 'Sifar' encompasses all these meanings and more. It is into the heart of this paradox that Lucky Ali seeks to venture on his new musical odyssey. And every song on this album is another step on his journey. So Very True!!!!
80s 90, era were Golden Gold and i don't think that in the next 100 years we could see, touch Or experience that kind of people who walked freely on this very own Planet of Paradise..!!! These eras truely will not repeat and the answer is both paingul and shameful to us and all the humanity because in those days LOVE WAS INNOCENCE..!!!!

@@SwapnilSoparkar This line mean that... "We lasted for them... And they have used us like we are nothing to them!"(like he/she haven't considered us as a special person)
This means that the protagonist keeps wandering in the cycle birth, death and rebirth just to meet his love one but for them he is one of those who came into their life. Its shows the depth of love
Even if this song being released today (2019 )most of the people won't understand the soul of this song. Jisko samaj na tha wo samaj giya or jisko samajna hai ho samaj rha hai or jisko samajna hoga wo samjega.

I bought my desktop computer in 1999 and there was some promotional package from Samsung along with which l got a video CD of popular indi-pop songs of that time. This song was on that list and I played it and played it back thousands of time. I had become a fan almost instantaneously. His music was way different from what was the usual stuff those days. Went on to buy his first three albums, and still have the cassettes with me. It's sad he did not work longer and went the bollywood way. But i still rate him the best. Bollywood Disrepect Legendary singer Lucky Ali. He is Alive Noone Care. When he will no more Like Sushant Singh Rajput. All Bollywood crocodile tears down for LUCKY ALI . Dont Forget my words if you read this.
Hahaha. So per u all r stars in Bollywood or only stars enter Bollywood. Should Tom Cruise enter Bollywood to become a star. Dude his work is rare. He don't work for money and fame. His work is for legendary people. If u r one amongst them then good. He hates Bollywood so do I. Don't measure success with Bollywood. R u not happy he gives us nice songs. Or do u want him to release a song everyday like badshah n emiway.
He made a vow. He returned there to fulfill it. But there was noone there to acknowledge his presence. He did the ritual, completed the cycle and went back home. But he was being watched over. And it all was worth it--the blessings. The journey ended. He thus ventured off to another journey.
From watching his videos as a kid. To dreaming of visiting all the destinations he takes us through his videos. And to finally actually living in state this video was shot ( Arizona USA). I’ve come a long way 🥲
The lady in the first scene says, "You're back! You've been here before? Haven't you?" Hell yeah! I've been here before. I've been living here since 1997 and will perhaps stay here as long as I live.. The meaning of love has changed but the song remains as meaningful as it was..
Lucky Ali songs are simply a treat to the soul. Adding to that, the choreo, cast and crew in his videos complement the music so much that they never go out of fashion.
This man’s influence on me is massive! These music videos (especially O Sanam and this one) opened me up to the universe and it’s cyclical nature with innumerable possibilities including deja vu!! Once I expanded my horizons, I could never go back home!

I couldn't get the meaning properly but I loved the song. Can you explain it to me?
@@aadityamurali18 I ll summarise the meaning for you
The lady gives him a band ( here symbol of his identity) and tells him that he has been there before so our protagonist starts his journey inorder to find his native home or you can say roots in that quest he sees many things meets many people and that red indian (here representing god/ ancestors spirit) who was guiding his quest as you can see during his whole journey that red indian uplifts his hand whenever our protagonist is in between of any travelling like he is signalling or guiding our protagonist's journey at the end he reached his destination but (here is the message ) was it really his destination or the beginning of another new journey? He thought he has reached his home and finally where he belonged but no-one answers his knocking which forced him to put down the band that he carried during his whole journey (reflects that he is submitting his identity) and move on , putting down band symbolises death , we donot carry anything from this world after death everything has to be submitted here only even our identity like he submitted his identity as his journey ended and started a new journey ( incarnation) so in this way it was a complete cycle it started where it ended that's why his album is named 'sifar'meaning zero , it has neither end nor beginning it begins where it ends

Sifar says 'Every journey is a new beginning'. 'It's the oldest-known unit in the history of human communication'.
It also says
'Containing nothing, it encircles everything.

Be it ‘O sanam’ or ‘Dekha hai aise bhi’ or ‘Kabhi aisa lagta hai,’ these songs of Lucky Ali touched the hearts of millions and made him a legendary musician of all-time. What’s even more heart-warming and intriguing is the journey and story behind the creation of each of the masterpieces. In his memoir ‘My Journey in Lyrics and Music,’ songwriter Syed Aslam Noor vividly narrates his writing journey and how he teamed up with the musical genius to write some of his greatest hits www.amazon.in/dp/B08TZSVSFC
