I was getting my roof replaced, and my neighbor saw one of the guys standing on the roof of my back porch peeing off into the grass. If that's not bad enough, the two main contractors were my uncle and his son, and the guy peeing off the roof was my brother in law. He had done it before on other jobs, sometimes off the FRONT porch roof, or out a second-story window. The really sad thing is, I had already explicitly told them they could use the bathroom inside, whenever they needed to, and had old drop cloths down from the door to the bathroom so they didn't even need to take off their shoes.
As a Lawn Servant I am rarely at one place long enough to need a potty break, but I do remember this one client who instructed us to use her bathroom while we were cleaning up her yard. I felt bad. I went in there pretty dirty, and it was one of those museum bathrooms where you don't want to use the hand towels because you might get water on them.

Now. Keep in mind. I’m only 17. I was doing a simple welding job for my friend’s parents. Before I did it I get a text from them saying they found a MIG welding professional. They paid him $150 dollars just for him to use solid steel wire on some 1/8 inch aluminum and burn straight through it. It was a simple 5 inch t-joint. They paid more for new aluminum and he blamed it on his gas even tho he was only using straight argon. I ended up TIG welding it for them for free
This is a bit inside baseball and a tad controversial: when looking for a plumbing job its always a red flag to me when I see a whiteboard in the office with all the plumbers names and how much money they have brought in. Its usually related to commission companies and a bonus for the most profitable plumber. I understand incentive but to pit the employees against each other like that is not good practice. It turns into a pissing contest and everyone bad mouthing each other. Commission plumbing work might be too much incentive, thats why most of those companies focus on water heater replacements.
I am an industrial electrican, but I would say leaving a client alone with their problems after a finished job is the worst. A client has to no he can trust you ( even angey ones )
receiving partial payment then damaging a person's property? that's a court case you can't win, don't do it. once money changes hands it's almost impossible to argue that you had some right to "undo" the plumbing work you did. Funny story: I was doing a job at a high end apartment complex and had to go to the bathroom. I figured Id hop into the back of the van, do my business and hop back out. Well, this was a POS loaner van that the company gave me and I didnt realize that the back doors didnt open from inside and I locked myself in the van. Even the door between the cab and the back was locked tight. I ended up having to call another plumber that was at the same complex to let me out. Needless to say I dont close the doors when Im inside the vans anymore. This happened around 2 years ago and I still get my chops busted over it lol
In my business, 44 years, my guiding rule has always been, do the job right, and treat the customer as you would want to be treated. You cannot go wrong, your good reputation will grow, your customers will stay with you for life, and you can lay your head down at night knowing you did your very best.
in Ireland they went 7 years without a single person registering for a tiler or plasterer apprentice. So few people are registering for apprentices that the government is paying people to join them.
In germany, every apprentice gets paid. You do work, you earn some money for it. My brother earned around 800 per month in his first year as apprentice plasterer. I find the concept incredibly weird to NOT be paid for your work, even as an apprentice. No wonder people don't go into trades anymore.
When my parents were building their house my mom caught a plumber peeing down a floor drain. My parents understood we lived 13 miles from town they just wished they would’ve went to the woods that was 100 feet away instead of peeing down the floor drain in the basement
Had a laborer ask where he can go to the bathroom, told him we've been going by the pine tree behind the garden shed. He did not specify the type of relief he needed, and was sent back later with a shovel.

Funny enough, dealing with an awful plumbing company (Anderson water) is what set me off to never rely another trades person ever again. I vowed to learn how to do everything myself. And you know what, it's worked out beautifully. I've remodeled 4 areas in my house (up to code, full inspected) for 1/6th of the cost of hiring people to do it.
Been in the Painters Union almost 30 years and a good way to Destroy your company is pissing off the Fire Marshal and take short cuts that he told you to fix and you didn't do it and the general contractor is handing you the T&M Tickets with a punch list from hell lol...

Honestly I completely agree with the message of “if you’re going to do a job, do it right “ - be that doing it with the right tools and taking time to do it the proper way without shortcuts (whether you think you’ll get caught OR NOT) or taking the time to get properly qualified, and not just in that you get qualified to the level you legally have to in your state/country, but taking the time to get educated in whatever field to a good level, be it through going through surplus training right up to high levels before starting, or if understandably you need to earn to live, you get qualified to start working and learn as you work under someone more experienced, and accept jobs you know you’re ready for and don’t cut corners! Apologies for the marathon essay message, not even on recent content, but as I’ve binged these videos it’s something that comes up frequently When you talk about “handymen” I think people react defensively without understanding the implied nuance, in that of COURSE you DONT MEAN ALL PEOPLE WHO CALL THEMSELVES HANDYMEN you’re simply pointing out the correlation (especially in your country in your state where certain licences are required) between people calling themselves handymen, and people who aren’t licenced plumbers etc and who therefor will likely not be Insured, and who are more likely to do bad work; be it deliberate corner cutting or laziness, tricking customers out of their money unnecessarily, or even genuine people who just unwittingly make mistakes or do low quality work (and again aren’t insured) ! Of COURSE NOT ALL HANDYMEN ARE BAD of COURSE NOT ALL pros are guaranteed GOOD but especially if you’re somewhere that requires a licence to call yourself a plumber, it means people who consistently don’t call themselves such are likely to have a reason they don’t, and people who aren’t guaranteed to be insured, EVEN IF THEY ARE GENUINELY TRYING TO HELP, are more risky since even if they’re very experienced and well meaning and hard working, if they screw up, the customer is SCREWED! Wheras if a licenced insured plumber does the same (IT HAPPENS NO MATTER HOW GOOD YOU ARE) They’re covered! Quite frankly the level of aggression and defensive bitterness in most of the retorts from “handymen” arguing about how they’ve seen SO many “pros” mess up and how licences and qualifications mean NOTHING etc really makes it seem like those handymen doth protest too much I’m sure most good handymen would understand he doesn’t mean all handymen are bad, they’d get his point and agree, knowing he doesn’t mean THEM The same way when he talks about plumbers doing bad we know that doesn’t mean HE is bad by default I think you’d only get this angry if you know that your work IS slapdash and dodgy, but maybe you started this work because you thought it was easy, and don’t wanna admit it takes skill and hard work to be good, meaning you being bad is your own fault and through your own laziness

Plumbing is good for sure. The trade I try to point out to ones your age is often overlooked: elevator technician. Also good are electrician and robotics/automation.
I'm a commercial electrician and we have a saying," electricians tell shocking stories, plumber tell shi**y stories." Without either of us the world would stand still.
I love that there's now an official list on how to speedrun getting your reputation and plumbing ruined. I wonder what the any percent category record is so far
You missed the Any% run? It was nuts. The plumber rented a bulldozer and slammed it into the customer's house. Pushed the breakfast nook into the garage. Then he did doughnuts all over the yard until the police came and shot him. All in about 5 minutes since he manipulated RNG and got a police station at the entrance to the neighborhood.
@@freedustin what an absolute legend. Bonus points for the bulldozer, but personally, my strategy, is to win by default. I just like to not show up and then ghost the customer. That way the moment my timer starts it immediately falls apart because the customers already dissatisfied because not only am I late I'm ghosting them. But I got to say, that guy's got me beat out on style 100%
One of the bathtubs in our house leaked whenever you drained the water, it was right above the kitchen, so the water would come through the light fixture in the ceiling. Idk how the heck the people who built the house managed that, but its lucky nothing happened to the people before we moved in!

I just found your channel a few days ago while searching through videos of professions reacting to things related to their chosen craft and was instantly hooked on your channel and have watched almost all of your videos so far. I particularly enjoy the type of video that brought me to your channel in the first place (the ones where you react to stuff) and your video on the r/plumbing subreddit got me thinking you'd enjoy checking out and making a video on the r/osha subreddit as well. It's all types of work, not just plumbing, but I still think you'd enjoy it and it'd fit in with your channel.
2:22 a landscaping contractor did this in our backyard once in 2015. Mom saw him from her bedroom window do so, then called the business owner next day to report the guy. Not sure if business owner had him fired, but he sure never set foot on our property again.
I would like to add to it. You hit the nail on the head with what you're saying but if you own your own company you also got to make sure to keep an eye on the guys you hire and make sure they're not doing the things you just described. We had to let a guy go after a month of working for us because he was taking short cuts on his work to get done with all his jobs faster which then turned into recalls. My boss would call and touch base with the customers and kinds almost do a survey on what they thought about him. That's how he found out about these short cuts and kept the customer relationships on good terms
I saw trees in the yard go stand by a tree and at least shield yourself for the decency of the customer even if you don't care me personally I couldn't agree more I got to go I got to go I'm gonna go lift my leg and Mark the bush the tree the shed the birdbath; heck even the side of the house but for a customer I'll go run for the woods and take a leak.
If the customer is home you should ask to use their toilet, only an absolute prick would refuse. If there's no usable toilet you should find a suitable secluded spot out of the way & sight of anyone, you don't stand in the middle of the yard letting it rip especially while the customer is there.
I’ve had another plumber tell me he had to fix a toilet leak, previous person used a mix of wax, plumbers putty, and silicone!! And it still leaked, I laughed and thought how crazy it was. Then about a year later I ran into the exact same thing on 2 toilets leaking in a house in that service area. So apparently this guy thinks he’s created a wonder seal for toilets when he’s really shooting himself in the foot.
Hey Roger, I agree with you 100% except for one thing. People who work in a fast food burger joint aren't lazy. Nobody is standing there waiting for five minutes between orders. Its non-stop movement and work. Next time you stop at your favourite burger joint, go inside and pay attention to the background, even the manager is working. And while you're on the subject, the one thing you don't want to do is make the person making your food feel slighted. from fast food to five star, if you piss off the back of the house, they WILL get their revenge. And always tip the wait staff. They usually split the tips with the back of the house. That makes for a harmonious work place.
Roger I have come to understand your hard know on Handyman services, They are the ones that make my trade look real bad, they are the ones that steal money and so the worst possible job with no care in the world. My handyman business mean everything to me, My customers are a privilege to work for, except the ones that have been burnt by the previous Handyman SOB. I learned that lesson early on, that no matter how good of job you do, they intend on not paying you to correct the project. It was a costly lesson but it taught me a lot. You want to ruin your business , ask for 1/2 upfront for materials and never go back, dont answer your phone, text messages or emails. Roder Thank you for your videos and the time you take to inform us tradesmen.
NEVERINSULT THE CUSTOMERS INTELIGENCE!! I ran a small company for around a year and I can't tell you how many times I watched one of my workers talk down to a potential customer
2 big things you touched on. 1) collecting money. As I’ve mentioned I warehouses for the company so it took me a long time (until they finally hired a full time lawyer) to convince them that instead of biting the bullet and walking away, the large investors that default on the payments should be taken to collection. Since most of their flips are fed by loans, until their debt is paid it stops them from getting loans on new property and lowers their credit score. 2) As far as bad online reviews went, rather than solving it online I would be tasked to call the individual and follow up with the issue and see if there was a way to compensate. For example some clay got onto a carpet during a sump pump install. We got a horrible review for it, nasty comments. After calling the gentleman and offering to pay for a professional cleaning he told me that he didn’t need it, he was removing it for hardwood anyway, he was just upset that no one said anything, and was pleased to get a follow call and the offer for the cleaning. Simple things man.
Im a laborer, mostly dirt work laying water, sewer, and storm mains for residential and commercial and let me tell you the fastest way to loose respect with the crew your working with is just what you said, putting in half the effort or taking short cuts. The amount of money a company could loose because one guy decides hes gonna slack off and cause there to be bellys in pipe or even setting a catch basin wrong is crazy.
All said are very correct and I appreciate you taking out your time to do this. How do you get plumber to pay for not coming on time when you as the company owner has to be on another project.
Your videos are very entertaining and helpful. I have a small mowing business and these not to do tips are helpful to apply to my business not just plumbing. Great video 👍
My family owns a well and septic inspection business and I have seen so many people ruin their reputation because they didn't want to tell whoever hired them (realtor, buyer, or seller) what they didn't want to hear. It sucks telling someone that they need to install a 20k new unit when they already closed, but that's what it is, fudging it gets you sued, and screws people
I did a renovation on a bathroom in which the old tiling in the shower had started to allow water to leak through to the wall. The grouting was degraded so badly it was pretty much powder. When we pulled the shower out and took down the dry wall to check the frame work behind, we found a copper T join in the enclosed switch box for the lights, heater and fan. It was looking it's age as well. It would not have taken much to burst and as we all know, water and electricity are not good friends inside house walls. We had the sparkies come in and move the power lines to another spot.
Thank you Roger, I've gotten more work by following all those rules. # 8 always return phone calls .I have gotten more work and repeat customers because of I was the only one of 3 contractors to have the courtesy to return a phone call within a day. #9 , let them know if you or your people are running late. Simple things that get you more work and a 8-10 week backlog. I'm not a plumber but people are willing to wait for professional, courteous, clean work.
Damn. My girlfriends is a manager at a wendy's. It isn't glamorous, sure. But, she works hard. Often short staffed. Her store is one of the best in the region. It is the cleanest. She doesn't stand around waiting for things to do.
I almost stopped going to my favorite Burger King because of a lazy employee, pretty sure he was coming to work high or just never had a chance to straighten up from the night before. I was so used to the fast and courteous service that everyone else had always provided. He didn't last long and things returned to normal.
Refrigeration technician here. The first thing I learned from my dad when I got into the trades (he's a master plumber) clean up after yourself and make you work look neat. If your doing it properly it should look neat anyway. If you leave a mess or half ass cleaning up after yourself, even if you did a great repair, your work sucks. Period.
2:30 i would much rather have them ask to use my toilet then that, don't make a horrible mess or such is all i would ask of course. i caught a neighbours window cleaner doing that where we store our bins and he even knew i was home, we spoke. i contacted the company not to get him in trouble, but just to tell the boss "have a quick reminder with all your employee's..." (avoided giving individual details as didn't want him to be in trouble) but most of all "you may want to remind your employee's that its 2018/19 (at the time) and people have cameras and love to post stuff online. i wouldn't for that but others would and he had his company details on shirt. if you got to go you got to go but pissing in sight of and on a customers property is the very last thing to do, i'd rather you ask.
I install glass pool fencing and if someone is home I will always ask them if I can use the toilet, no one has ever said no. Many times however no one is home, sometimes they will leave a toilet open for us or there's a portaloo nearby but unfortunately it's common that we have no accessible toilet. In such cases we will find a nice secluded spot out of the way & sight in the backyard, such as in a garden alone the fence line or behind a shed, to piss and rinse with water if necessary. Like you said when you gotta go you gotta go but taking a piss outside when you know the customer is home, doing it in plain sight or out in the open, or doing it on the pavement/side of a building (especially if you don't rinse it with water) is a no go.
I should make videos. I have done maintenance for over 11 years and I deal with all this stuff you show. Bad electrical jobs , plumbing that has been done with whatever is around. Stuff that works but was put together with a sharp rock and tin foil. You name it I fix and repair
OK, so I find this very interesting, and funny. (still don't know how I got here) But I gotta tell ya, while I did laugh at the joke, fast food ain't easy. The customers don't seem to understand you can't get fresh food that's also ready in less than a minute. Especially when that line goes out the door or down the road! And we ain't just standing there. Depending on the restaurant, we have to make certain things behind the counter, take orders, keep our station stocked, and train the new new guy. All at once. Again, love your videos. Sorry for the rant, but I had to get that out there.
😏 Seen the thumbnail of the guy peeing outside and was just thinking how ppl trip when they see ppl peeing outside, just think back when there wasn’t toilets where u think we all went? 🤭 Outside

In my trade (marine engineer) I have found the biggest rep ruiner is to lie about work being done. We only do internal jobs so there's no reason for it. We are paid by the hour whether we work or not so you might as well get the job done and build a good rep.
Actually thinking of being a plumber now. It seems a lot more important than society makes it out to be. Thanks for opening my eyes!
You'll make more money as an apprentice than the teacher who tells you that "plumbing is a dirty no where job"
Same tbh. That and I like the idea of being an unsung hero
@Иван Иванов 15k rubles a month? Also where is it? In urban areas of Russia that's not a lot but can be a good money in rural areas
Or an HVAC tech. There’s so many jobs and just as good money as far as I know.
Plumbing is awesome, my dream career i always wanted to be a cop and now as a plumber I make 30k more a year than the police
I'm a service tech at Burger King don't send those lazy people this way. Lol
A service tech? What’s your job entail basically? Also is this at a single store or how does that work? Just curious really.
@@Eltonmorris I work on all the equipment in the stores. like the broiler fryers toasters microwave ice machine the walk-in cooler and freezer. little Plumbing electrical and HVAC
Also multiple stores forgot to mention that
Pat V ah, that makes sense. I figured it was on multiple stores but wanted to ask. Sounds like a cool gig for sure. I’m sure it’s nice to not have the same thing to do over and over daily. Thanks for replying and letting me know.
@@Eltonmorris no problem bud. The only thing that really does suck is the driving. you do get paid for it.
Don't worry, the day he least expects it some lady with her kid/kids will happen to be walking by,see him being a slob and a pervert like that, the police will be called and he'll get cited for indecent exposure. If he doesn't know better/care to know better the police will straighten him right out.
What idiots don't they know they can piss down the plumbing stack
Best way to ruin your company: Quote an install, then add a bunch of fees after its done.
My colleague had a tradesman 'lowball' like that. Gave her a quote for bare basic job without mentioning that other items/ services might be needed. Every day it was something new
I refused a roofer who did that. When he came in $4K lower than anyone else, I got suspicious
Catcalling clients.
Acting they know nothing because they are a women
Asking to talk to the man of the house
Trying to make the remplace parts that are brand new to make more money.
you sound a little preoccupied with something, are you alright?
me ne frego just had those things happen to a lot of my friends and family members.
Most tradesmen I've met, I do concrete myself, are older gentlemen who are still living decades ago. Don't take it personally, just say actually I'm in charge here and 99% of the time they will act accordingly.
Not in plumbing, but work in fabrication. For us, poor fit and finish will destroy a reputation faster than ice will melt in hell on Sunday.
Roto rooter is like this..plus, they require new techs to buy a van and get it painted with their logo.
Our employees are commission base. We do encourage sales but we do not tell the employees what the other makes or how much they sold.
There's nothing like going on a call back... the walk of shame. Been there.
Do it right the first time.
Yeah that must suck
I was replacing sky lights with my uncle one time and he would pee down the sewer vents on the roof 😂😂
Hey ill have to remember that one haha! Sounds like an uncle move!

Before you do something out of emotion, think to yourself: what would Judge Judy think? ... she ain't going to be nice, and in a real court a judge is not going to be happy dealing with grown adults who pull childish stunts.
Funny story:
I was doing a job at a high end apartment complex and had to go to the bathroom.
I have heard of this story before, I thought it was a "urban legend "!
To what cause do you attribute this phenomenon?
@@kenp3L I'd bet a rise in single motherhood / welfare households
In germany, every apprentice gets paid. You do work, you earn some money for it. My brother earned around 800 per month in his first year as apprentice plasterer. I find the concept incredibly weird to NOT be paid for your work, even as an apprentice. No wonder people don't go into trades anymore.
When my parents were building their house my mom caught a plumber peeing down a floor drain. My parents understood we lived 13 miles from town they just wished they would’ve went to the woods that was 100 feet away instead of peeing down the floor drain in the basement

Not admitting when you are out of your league! Foolish pride will cause a bad reputation real quick. I’ve Only been plumbing for seven years, and I’ve come across a quite a few tasks that were beyond my skill level. I will tell the homeowners in a heartbeat that I need to get someone with a little more experience involved in this, and the honesty is always respected. ✨✨✨
Did you do any kind of plumbing though? And if, what did you do?
Been in the Painters Union almost 30 years and a good way to Destroy your company is pissing off the Fire Marshal and take short cuts that he told you to fix and you didn't do it and the general contractor is handing you the T&M Tickets with a punch list from hell lol...
Me and my dad remodeled a bathroom a while back. Everything was fine till the customer later sent a hateful email demanding we fix the bathroom outlet that wasn't working. I was bit shocked... but we already knew they probably just popped the GFCI, which is all it was. What a dummy... and what an easy fix it was to push a button. Customers can be assholes.
Show up at the customers/work while under the influence of a substance.
Look perfect guide line here when you need to go to the restroom go to your truck and do the bottle method is tried and true but if you need to go number two tell the client something came up and you need to go get parts even if it's for a flapper . And if they say you just need to go number two don't you, look them dead in the eye and say well you got me I'll be back in a little while thanks for making it awkward .
I’m a mechanic, top 3 ways to ruin your reputation... 1) every repair is a mater of life and death, 2) every repair NEEDS to be done yesterday, 3) we need to sell 27 fuel filters today (number and part can change, but having a quota of something to sell before you even look at any cars today)...
There are some repairs that can be dangerous, be honest, show the customer if you can/need to... some cars need $1700 in repairs ASAP, for sure... and some days you may well upsell 27 fuel filters... you just don’t know you will before you inspect the cars... and 27 is a very large number of cars to check out in one day in my experience, lol
If you need $1,700 in repairs it's probably time to get different car.
@buffalo wt That's crazy. Good thing I know how to work on my own cars lol.
Unless your driving an old station wagon jeez those things were gas guzzlers but they were beasts.
@buffalo wt Those are easy to replace. 2 people have damaged the bumper on my El Camino. Every time an idiot hits me I think. PAY DAY. Their insurance pays me $1,300, a new bumper only costs me $250. Conclusion = PROFIT.
27 fuel filters you say??? The atf is watching
The police aren't going to get involved in a civil matter. They'll just tell you to get a lawyer.
Apologies for the marathon essay message, not even on recent content, but as I’ve binged these videos it’s something that comes up frequently
When you talk about “handymen” I think people react defensively without understanding the implied nuance, in that of COURSE you DONT MEAN ALL PEOPLE WHO CALL THEMSELVES HANDYMEN
you’re simply pointing out the correlation (especially in your country in your state where certain licences are required) between people calling themselves handymen, and people who aren’t licenced plumbers etc and who therefor will likely not be Insured, and who are more likely to do bad work; be it deliberate corner cutting or laziness, tricking customers out of their money unnecessarily, or even genuine people who just unwittingly make mistakes or do low quality work (and again aren’t insured) !
Of COURSE NOT ALL HANDYMEN ARE BAD
of COURSE NOT ALL pros are guaranteed GOOD
but especially if you’re somewhere that requires a licence to call yourself a plumber, it means people who consistently don’t call themselves such are likely to have a reason they don’t, and people who aren’t guaranteed to be insured, EVEN IF THEY ARE GENUINELY TRYING TO HELP, are more risky since even if they’re very experienced and well meaning and hard working, if they screw up, the customer is SCREWED! Wheras if a licenced insured plumber does the same (IT HAPPENS NO MATTER HOW GOOD YOU ARE)
They’re covered!
Quite frankly the level of aggression and defensive bitterness in most of the retorts from “handymen” arguing about how they’ve seen SO many “pros” mess up and how licences and qualifications mean NOTHING etc really makes it seem like those handymen doth protest too much
I’m sure most good handymen would understand he doesn’t mean all handymen are bad, they’d get his point and agree, knowing he doesn’t mean THEM
The same way when he talks about plumbers doing bad we know that doesn’t mean HE is bad by default
I think you’d only get this angry if you know that your work IS slapdash and dodgy, but maybe you started this work because you thought it was easy, and don’t wanna admit it takes skill and hard work to be good, meaning you being bad is your own fault and through your own laziness
Oh man this is gonna be a good one I love your insights Roger.
I'm an apartment maintenance tech and these videos are invaluable to me! Thank you for the countless hours recording and editing to get this info out to us! Truly appreciate you my friend!!
I love these videos, right now I'm just trying to open up some ideas on what job I should get in the future (I'm in High School taking community college classes)
Lol I like that! 👍👍🍻

came across your vids randomly , omg i am hooked. thank you for work both here and out in the public. great stuff keep it up
I can't imagine getting $10K worth of work done, and just telling the guy "yeah, I'm just not gonna pay you". Just plain theft.
I absolutely love your channel💜 you're a man of passion and integrity in his work
I could listen to Roger talk all dang day, something about his voice is just so relaxing :)
"Think about what you're doing before you do it" is just generally good advice
Having a leak in a upper bath wouldn’t be good either
One of the bathtubs in our house leaked whenever you drained the water, it was right above the kitchen, so the water would come through the light fixture in the ceiling. Idk how the heck the people who built the house managed that, but its lucky nothing happened to the people before we moved in!
You hit the nail on the head with plumbing and also every other trade. Just be your best. Make yourself as valuable as possible and do your best work. Be a good and honest person and have some respect for yourself and your fellow customers and coworkers. If you do just that I promise it'll pay off. People will want you to do work for them. Companies lined up wanting you to work for their company and you will be highly respected for doing what you do.
I have a plumbing pre apprenticeship from job corps I got when I was 16, I’m 21 now and you are inspiring me to persue my career in plumbing, thank you
I just found your channel a few days ago while searching through videos of professions reacting to things related to their chosen craft and was instantly hooked on your channel and have watched almost all of your videos so far.
It's crazy that in this video, your sub count tracker is at 130K, and now you're at 170K. Keep going man, this is great content you're putting out!
Nice to see you roger! Good advice
First thing I learnt as a apprentice plumber is there is no bathroom to go to if you have to!!
I'm a 24 year old woman and I love to watch your videos. I do not own a home, or anything. I love you reacting to the fails.
Ok....?
2:22 a landscaping contractor did this in our backyard once in 2015. Mom saw him from her bedroom window do so, then called the business owner next day to report the guy. Not sure if business owner had him fired, but he sure never set foot on our property again.
Thank you for the wonderful content, Roger. You're inspiring me to get out of my dead end desk job and learn a valuable trade.
I know nothing about plumbing but I love watching his videos. Its like an uncle teaching you how to be a decent person so you can success in life 😍😍
What mix amp do you use for the pod mic?
Nature calls. When you gotta go, you gotta go.
Your videos are genuinely amazing. You give sound advice in every cut. As a tradesman I really appreciate your channel
Laziness births creativity lol

I never thought I’d see a day where I’m regularly watching plumbing content, but it’s surprisingly interesting. Props!
I don't know why UA-cam started recommending these videos but I'm glad they did.
Great list. I like your view points sir. Very wholesome and honest 👍
I love your videos man they are so entertaining and educational. Never stop please🙏🏼
Just entering the automotive industry, I think lying hits the nail on the head. Fastest way to get a bad reputation
I have seen reviews like you mentioned. Where the owner or manager will actually argue. It's very unprofessional and would make me over look them.
I'm not even a plumber, but I love watching this channel. Can anybody recommend an electrician UA-camr with similar content style?
I'm wondering this as well.
Scamming clients so much that you get an entire news segmant dedicated to you
My family owns a well and septic inspection business and I have seen so many people ruin their reputation because they didn't want to tell whoever hired them (realtor, buyer, or seller) what they didn't want to hear.
It sucks telling someone that they need to install a 20k new unit when they already closed, but that's what it is, fudging it gets you sued, and screws people
I still have signs on my truck, with the ladies name who stole from me, and the judge who screwed me over. Great conversation. My customers love it.
Hell, I'm not even a plumber and I love these videos!! Thank you for quality and entertaining vids!! Keep it up man!
Take pride in your work and never give someone else the opportunity to come behind you and fix your mistakes
I install custom closets (like Kurt Russell in overboard) and I can think of several ways to ruin my reputation lol.
True good advice.... Would you make a video about tips on running a company
Great advice !
🤭 Outside
When we were replacing our shower we found that the people before us had jerry rig’d everthing
Yes, point your security cameras directly at the gutter downspout. 🤣
As a Lawn Servant I hear two complaints all the time from perspective clients. #1 I never know when he's coming and #2 He doesn't answer his phone or return my calls or texts. I can often charge a higher fee for that yard and still win the bid because of some basic customer courtesy.
I wish you were in Lubbock. Man I love your videos. You're so Amazing.
Hey Roger can you talk about the balance between doing something right and doing something fast in the context of a young apprentice trying to do well at a new company?
