I play on the wing, and I'm just curious, don't you think it would be easier for you to play on the left wing instead? since you'd be cutting in on your strong foot? Is it your decision to play the 7 or right wing or your coaches, and do you agree with it?
Thanks mate and you make a good point. Yes at this level, the coach tells you what to do, and you do it, otherwise you don't get paid 😂 I don't disagree with it to be fair I feel like I can be effective on either wing in different ways. I prefer getting experience on both sides, as it allows you to develop more areas of your game. I appreciate the feedback man!

I would love to see more actual matches. It shows that a live match isn't all tricks, but a lot of reading defenders, empty spaces and co-players.

I think I should watch more trial games to learn instead of watching Messi and Ronaldo compilations.
You definitely should do more of these! It would be great if you highlighted some off-the-ball movement and your thought process when your team has the ball. Or maybe even do whole video about it if its easier.

How do you notice things like where the defender is anticipating you to go so quickly while dribbling undue pressure.
I just make sure I am reacting to their movements instead of trying to plan ahead. Play with instinct and you'll find much more success in dribbling.

How often do you train agility/plyometrics and balancing drills? Once a week or just a preseason etc?
Thanks mate! I train agility and plyometrics twice per week, then the balance work I get from yoga which I usually do 2-3 times per week.
As being a left wing myself, it's great to see the mistakes in decision making I do in the games through this video e.g. taking it endline or cutting in to shoot in different situations. Great video! Your videos and channel are improving my game heaps!

The last shoot, you could do a knuckleball, like C R usually do; or you could curve the ball, like in your other video; make your left standing foot towards the far post. I like your explanation ! I have checked lots of your videos, amazing explanations ! How about your left foot ?

Great video!!! Do more of such videos please so that we can clearly understand and visualize the mental side of the game. And also please do videos on the 1)techniques that can be used to shield the ball from a defender while dribbling and
2) techniques that can be used to win the ball from the attacker by pushing him away

You should feel it instinctively during the game. Depends on the fullback's behavior that you're going up against. You should always try to be unpredictable, never do the same thing too often.
nice. I think another great game for you. Also a great improvement that you could make that would make you perfect is work on your muscles, gain some weight, become bigger and work out more on your upper body so that you gain some muscle mass. Everything else is alright

It really seems like on forward runs with crosses that the unwritten communication between players or unsaid shall I say, is key. that cross was good but nobody is there. I have noticed in other games that the box is often empty and guys don't either want that ball early or the finishing is missing. My son doesn't run hard on getting back but if he sees a teammate going down a channel, he flies down the middle for a pass. Personally for you I think you do the best you can, however you can't control what they want to do or end up doing.
I never really understood when a striker doesn't make the run either, Ryland. They would score so many more goals. The best strikers in the world are the ones who put the ball in the net consistently, and a large percentage of their goals come from "tap-n" situations. Keep encouraging your son with that darting movement into the box, it will serve him very well!
@rylandgw is my instagram where I post videos of my son training. He is 9 years old and training to be a center mid now. done a lot on half turns, checking to the ball and general technical work. He has only been playing club soccer/football for a year now.

From what I’ve experienced, US college players are better athletes, but U.K. players are more technical. Thanks for the question mate 👍

I did put my mistakes in mate. The shot I took didn't test the keeper enough, the time I dribble down the right hand side in the second half I didn't get my cross off quick enough and had to settle for a corner, also my cross from the left side on the ground didn't find a team mate. Plenty of errors there. Thanks for the feedback!
