True yes, people are paying to see comedy and jokes. But evidently Monique has another objective and I believe said objective is called “The Long Game”. While making Perry & Winfrey the bulk majority of her content is 🙄probably annoying, because she’s getting payed either way, It is kind of a smart play on her part in my opinion to center her your content in the beef she has with them because whereas previously they monetarily exploited her, she’s now in the same position to reciprocate the back stabbing gesture.
And also from an accountability standpoint, embarrassment, guilt & social shame can be effective corrective behavioral mechanisms. While still going to their graves as allegedly industry snakes, the damage to their reputations and embarrassing fallout from double crossing Monique will force her adversaries to think twice in the future before victimizing another innocent talent.

@@dougedoug2105 , she wasn't double crossed. She had a contract, did the move for a friend for $50 and was paid. The movie was done before Oprah and Tyler ever came on as producers. They got the movie promoted enough for it to get seen and that got Mo' her Oscar buzz. She just wanted more money because they are super rich. The Oscar nomination and win was her ticket to a better career and the power to demand more money in the future but she wanted more money then and there. She was short sighted and burned bridges.
It's been 15 years and instead of focusing on getting her career back on track all Mo' has done is create more feuds with more people. At this point Mo's mouth has done more to ruin her career than any complaint Tyler or Oprah might have issued about her.

As a woman who has a best friend that has become like my sister, Monique joking about Oprah and Gayle's friendship and accusing them of being lovers tells me that she has never had a true, genuine and deep sisterhood-type friendship and that is unfortunate. I am talking about the kind of best friendship in which you sometimes do look tied to the hip, the kind where they hold you accountable and speak life into you when you need it and they tell you when you are wrong and are always rooting for you. The best friend you can call throughout the week and the chats never get old and are never not funny! That is the type of best friend I have, so when I see Oprah and Gayle, they remind me of myself and my bestie and we are by no means lovers/gay. If Monique had that, her best friend (her Gayle) maybe would have helped her learn to move on because she would have been hearing it from someone who wants nothing from you but your happiness. Giving you the perspective from a woman's lens (not a bitter husband or as she calls him "daddy" lens). So, the Gayle/Oprah commentary is tired, and just tells me she lacks real friends which, sadly, many women do. Love my bestie!!

I am beginning to question Monique's mental health because the feud is not with Tyler or Oprah. The feud is with Monique and herself. Oprah and Tyler haven't commented on Monique in over a decade. I would never allow someone to live that long rent free in my head. Monique is better than that. This thing with Mo’Nique reminds me of what happened to the comedian Lenny Bruce. He was one of those shock comedians that joked about offensive things back in the ‘60s. He started losing fans when he turned around and started focusing on and complaining about things he felt was going wrong, or whatever. It’s been years since I saw the movie on his life. But, anyway, he ruined himself. With Mo’Nique, you can’t even tell if she really has talent at this point, because she’s throwing everything she worked so hard for down the toilet. She’s overshadowing any good that could come to her with all of this negativity. Why do people spend money on that crap is beyond me! You can’t trust that you’re gonna get a good show with her! This has been over 15 years ago. Plus people keep missing the point of the whole situation. Monique took a low-paying acting job in a low-budget movie. Monique chose to do that movie at the rate of pay they offered her. Tyler and Oprah were just producers of the movie. They gave as much money as they were willing to give for Precious. Just because they are rich they don't have to give more. Tyler, and Oprah, are not the movie studio. Lee Daniels, production, and the movie studio asked Monique to promote the movie at the Canne Film Festival in France and they would pay for her trip, but that wasn't good enough. She wanted to get paid to promote the movie. Most people know you don't get paid to promote the movie you are in. If it was a low-budget movie how did Monique expect to get paid? After that is when Lee, Tyler, and Oprah said she was difficult, but forget Lee, Tyler, and Oprah other entertainers and producers have called Monique difficult as well. Monique knows her worth but she is blocking so many blessings for herself with the anger. Plus if y'all notice Lee, Tyler, and Oprah never speak on Monique publicly.

I don't think they would sue her over her vulgar rants. They are basically ignoring her because they don't want to get in the gutter with her. But they didn't cost Monique money. She was asked to promote a movie overseas and refused because she was not monetarily compensated. The story should have ended there. It did not. Monique proceeded to go on a years long public rant about not receiving extra money. Ranting in public is why others don't want to work with her. She is difficult.
Her husband/manager has never taken any responsibility for signing his client to a bad contract. That happened 15 years ago. 15. Being in this business as long as she has and it appears she's learned little to nothing about the business side of the industry. She is not owed a check for ruining her Own career.
