Golden Braggart's battlecry is it gains doubles the highest stats, so it scales exponentially (it doubles its own stats when his battlecry triggers through Murk-Eye). With Brann and Murk-Eye, you can get a golden braggart's stats in the millions easily.
You probably know that alreadybut you can golden the buddy directly in the tavern with etc buddy. This could have permitted to only sell one slot here ans get a triple reward. Not that you needed it this game but just saying ^^ Keep up the great work!
My biggest tinfoil hat conspiracy about BG’s is that the rng of your hits is ELO dependent because I can guess, almost to a T the exact hits that I’ll get in combat but then I’ll watch high MMR streamers and magically their cleaves aren’t always hitting the edges or having their largest unit dive bomb into a 1-1 poison. I literally have a running personal joke that this game is scripted because of the regularity of me guessing a half dozen hits correctly in a row
That's classic confirmation bias. You "believe" that it's scripted because you call hits correctly sometimes. But you're probably more often wrong than correct, you only remember the correct guesses better. Same with some incredibly unlucky low % outcomes. If you win a few 5% you tell yourself "nice, got lucky" but if you lose a few 5% you feel like you're the unluckiest person in the world. Happens to me as well, I could swear those percentages are incorrect 😂

Hint for the "make a buddy golden", it dosen't say frendly, and therefore you can do it in the tavlern (and don't need to sell two + tripple reward)

This combo was removed 2-3 days ago, not weeks. The main channel will pretty much always be up to date with the latest patch within days.
