  • Who doesn't love a good Tiermaker video? I know I do! This time around it's a kids game show Tiermaker. Almost every single one that at least has video footage out there is featured on this list and I go through over 30 of them for the video.
Big shoutout to JB Henry for creating this tiermaker and a couple more tiermakers to come. Give his Twitch channel a follow as he and the DFIU Crew do live game show tiermakers once a month. Aside from that, he does Wheel After Dark and is the originator of the C365 Challenge that I'm also doing. Find a lot of his stuff at / jbhenryxiv and join in on the fun.

GUTS also had a couple personal favorites of mine in the All-Stars special, where 3 kids who won the show with a perfect score all came back to compete against each other, and also the one-off Special Olympics episode where 3 Special Olympics athletes got to play Global GUTS.

Your imitation of the annoying maze controller in the masters of the maze JD Roth version was right on point. Wow! If they were to do a revival, then you should be the really annoying robot voice. Because you do it perfectly!

Interesting for jepp they had Bob Bergen as the host. I think the only reason that they had him hosted is because he was the voice of the Disney Channel at that time. Think that’s a really weird decision because it would be like Randy Thomas hosting a Playhouse Disney show for a little kids and them not knowing who it is. Very weird decisions if I do say so myself. If you’re going to do a kids game show, get somebody that the kids at least have heard of or recognize. Why would kids watch if they don’t know who you are?

Jason Harris was my childhood along with Mark Summers when it came to double dare. I lick the buzzers for when time ran out on a physical challenge better in the first few seasons, because they’re a higher pitched version of the ones for adult game shows like prices right and match game from the 70s. That’s what they sound like. I also like the water boat sound in double air 2000s although one time they did have a really wimpy buzzer for when the round was over and it was time to go to a commercial break. It wasn’t that would be and I liked it because it was somewhat different but it was just different than the longer one. I’ve only seen the buzzer in one episode unless it was in other episode for like earlier episodes in 97 or whatever when the versions started. Zooventure like I said in the comment for your latest game show to your video, was my childhood as well, and I love the sound effects. I like the horn when somebody got an answer wrong in season one and two that sounded like a really sad, depressed horn. They also use the longer version of that for wait till you have kids When everybody got an answer wrong. No other game show that I knew of had that and that’s why I thought it was so neat because it sounded different than anything I had heard before when it came to buzzers. The last season of Zooventure had a really boring sound to the horn where it just sounded like a beeping, bus horn or truck horn or something. Honestly preferred the other one. That was the only change in the last season that I didn’t like other than the fact that the music wasn’t as good in the later season. Some of it was the same, but they removed some of it, which kind of stunk.

Wheel 2000 and man lives my favorite part of both were the physical games. I like the sound effects in the buzzers. I met mad Libs.

A thing about Gladiators 2000's first season that I thought was stupid was the fact they called the team wearing mostly black the red team and the team wearing mostly white the blue team. Also having the gladiators do those lame sketches with the contestants.

I didn't see Peer Pressure, Pressure 1, Secrets of the Cryptkeeper's Haunted House or 1990 Krypton Factor on this list, but they'd probably not be ranked high.

CBS learned absolutely nothing from Nickelodeon's "You're On!" when they put "Game Show in My Head" on the airwaves.

I didn't see the 1993 flash-in-the-pan that was Pick Your Brain, also hosted by Marc Summers. I take it that the creator of the Tiermaker hasn't seen Pick Your Brain in his lifetime. I thought Pick Your Brain was interesting.

Okay... You can skip "Double up", but why does nobody remember "Dr. Fad"?!?!?

Couldn't get every one on there. Plus a rule was that only shows that the person that created the Tiermaker said that these are shows that he personally has seen.

I miss Zooventure (along with Zap It!) on Discovery Kids in the late 90’s. The latter show was like Remote Control for kids for the Digital Cable age.

One of the seasons of finders keepers had the old super sloppy double dare and family double dare buzzer for what time ran out which is not my favorite buzzer. It sounds super short and super wimpy. That is why I don’t like it. I much prefer the one the longer one from the other season of finders keepers.

_Saved the Bell: The New Class_ ran seven years on TNBC. Most of the later episodes had subplots dealing with Screech and Belding's comic hijinks.

Technically 6 years but they decided to cut the 1998 season in half to keep the show on for the 1999-2000 season.

I feel like Endurance should be in the "Good Show Fix Format" tier as having eliminations decided by dumb luck is a very underwhelming climax, and I'm glad Karma fixed it.

Sorry to be annoying, but how did $1,000 bee get excluded again?

    • @GameShowGumbo
      @GameShowGumbo  6 місяців тому

My guess is that the person who made the tiermaker didn't see it, thus it was excluded. I say it's an absolutely fair rule to have on any tiermaker that you create. If you haven't seen it, it doesn't go on or if it's on a tiermaker you are doing, make a separate tier saying "Never saw it".

I very vaguely remember Wild Animal Games. I saw Zooventure a few years later and wondered if it was the same show with a new name. Nick Arcade I hated even back then. That bonus stage looked absolutely broken and from the behind the scenes footage I saw of the kids in front of that blue screen it didn't look fun to play either.

    • @ABCEasyas--

I wasn’t the only one who remembers Zooventure! Discovery Kids also aired Zap It! which is basically Remote Control but more educational and for the digital cable generation.

24:00 I watched Peer Pressure only once when I was freshman in high school. I could only stand 10 minutes of that garbage before I shut it off. I never wanted to see it again. It was a dud.

Click is a great show, very underrated 90's television game shows, but Double Dare is one of my all time favorites, second is Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego,i used to watch it when i was growing up on PBS.

IMO: Double Dare, GUTS, Fun House, & Legends are the G.O.A.T.s… Peer Pressure and You’re ON! are the shittiest shows in America. I will defend I’m Telling for this reason: You grew up with your sibling your entire life and it makes for fun television. I also know Ryan Seacrest gets a lot of flack for hosting Click, but it was a great show. Unfortunately Ryan other 2 shows… meh

The less said about peer pressure, the better. I watched it when I was young, and after watching it again, as an adult, it was terrible! No wonder 20 stations in the United States picked this show up. I'm most stations it was on immediately following click. So yeah. The less said about this show, the better.

@@machoman1016 completely agree. For me, I'll take click over peer pressure. Click was on more stations than peer pressure. Seacrest is not bad of a host. In fact, I kind of wish it had a longer run. For what it's worth though, I liked click. I thought it was a good show that had a good format. When peer pressure was on, I immediately turned to something elce. I've lived in Michigan all my life. Still do to this day. Click aired on WOOD TV 8 and Peer presssure aired after. Click aired at 9 AM, and peer pressure aired at 9:30 AM Saturday and Sunday mornings. I was glad to see peer pressure, go, but when click left the schedule, I kind of wished it had a longer run.
