Its too bad when races are determined that way, but you would think the drivers would be more conscientious about that 80 mph rule. The Home Street clearly has the boat speed, it's hardly necessary for them to have lane 1 or 2. It is not worth the risk of being penalized for dropping under 80 mph and being taken out of contention altogether.
Great racing all around. Even where the penalties were deserved it was not because anyone was a jerk, just guys working it. And as a fan I have to love a rule that says you have to go at least 80 miles an hour on the ‘parade’ laps.
