The story behind this is so sad and this is really beautiful...
It’s just the story of hamlet right? It’s THAT Ophelia?
As a small child I found this picture in an encyclopedia we had at home, but was too young to read the inscription. I would often get the book out to look at the picture, eventually my mother ask me what I like about it. I remember saying she looked so peaceful and pretty, I asked her tell me the story behind the picture. I found it so sad that I stopped going back to the book, this is the first time I have seen the picture in years.
We are very glad that we have fans of William Shakespeare in our subscribers.
What is the story of Ophelia, if you don't mind me asking
@@snowfox1987 her fiancé Hamlet ignores her on his vengeance quest, causing her to go insane and drown herself in the river
A breathtakingly gorgeous piece! Easily one of my favorites!
For those curious, the story behind Ophelia comes from the Shakespeare play Hamlet. She is a noble woman that ends up going mad because of Hamlet's actions, and accidentally drowns herself when she falls from a willow tree. I highly recommend reading or watching the play =D
"accidentally"
I have herd of a shakespeare character named bottom do you know about him
Actually the girl who modeled for this painting got super sick from being in cold water for so long, I can't remember if she died but either way it was a bad time for her
@@annarosnick7181 en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nick_Bottom
He's a coming relief character in Shakespeare's play "A Missummer Night's Dream".
Famously, his head is turned into an ass's head by a fairy king.

I love just setting listening an watching these when I go to bed an in The background while doin work. I love the music you use in your videos
Who does the music? I really enjoy it!
It's so relaxing
All music we take from artlist.io
Found the song: “A Place Beyond Belief” by SLPSTRM.
Nice work, btw! Enjoy your watching your work.
@@crazeedad7813 Any idea what the song at around 18:48 is?
Oh wow, gorgeous piece. One of my favorites you made so far! I'd be definitely up to seeing more "painting-reproduction" dioramas from you!

I really love your dioramas they're always so packed of little details and the face is so well painted!!
The painting is already phenomenal, for how realistic, rich and detailed it looks. But this diorama gives it a completely new feel, because light and shadow have more of an impact here.
AWESOME! as an artist I could feel you when you had to remove one whole grass side. I'm glad you still managed to fix it 👍🏻
I never thought I would see Elizabeth Siddal as Ophelia in a miniature... Exquisite artwork that makes justice to the original painting!
I love this so much! Thanks for sharing!
I have a special thing about this painting, and seeing it in diorama form is special to me because it represents my depression, how i feel it and how i process my sadness.
EDIT: when they started painting the 3d printed Ophelia i immediatelly started crying. And the end result was absolutely breathtaking, i never thought that a diorama could cause me such deep emotional response.
past life?
@@Tinka22 maybe....it effects me in a very deep way.
@@gabrielribeiro-rm2to Then try to meditate around it. Perhaps a similar experience or ... ya know.
Did we just see the GOAT make a major, mid-project design change? There is hope for us mortals!
Ah how sad for Ophelia but watching the craftsmanship in this video makes me happy 😁
"Сперва её держало платье, раздуваясь,
И, как русалку поверху несло,
Она из старых песен что-то пела,
Но долго доиться это немогло..."
Эти строки сразу всплывают в памяти, при виде вашего творения.)))
Каждый раз смотрю Ваше очередное видео и получаю эстетическое удовольствие, что называется "прям балдю")) ну и некоторые приёмы беру на вооружение, спасибо большое))
Согласна. Бомбически все выполнено!!!!!!!!
Since mini hobbies are my favourite too, I was very reassured to see you start doing one thing, then clean half off, and do it differently....nice to know I'm not the only one! Beautiful concept.
The level of detail, skill, artistry and patience that went into this is awe inspiring. Beautiful
I can't think of words that would properly describe how impressed I am with this work of art, so please allow me to just say, "WOW!" I am always a very happy person, but when I saw the finished piece, it nearly brought a tear to my eye from the sadness I felt for Ophelia. I would call that testament to the outstanding job you did.
This is one of my all-time favourite paintings and I am beyond mind blown to see it made so beautifully in 3D!
This reminds me of “The Lady of Shallot” by John William Waterhouse! Amazing work as always
I read that for the first time today!
Waterhouse will always be one of my favorites!
It reminds me of Anne of Green Gables who reenacted "The Lady of Shallot" which was in turn inspired by this painting of Ophelia, who was a character from William Shakespeare's Hamlet. Lol!

Here you can see the music from Loreene McKenna to this
There is a fanastic sung version by Lorena McKennitt. It's not the entire poem but I feel like its just such another beautiful reiteration of it, that it gets a pass from me.
Hi, sorry for some English mistakes (I'm using the translator). I'm from Brazil and I love the videos on this channel, they are amazing
Ophila is my favorite painting of all time, the backstory behind it, the Shakespeare tale. And to see it done so beautifully like this
The best notification I could receive
Все видео смотрится на одном дыхании!Очень классно!
Привет, не ожиданно встретить друга
Having this part of the painting in physical form is humbling and its done very well. Great job
The most beautiful full length commercial I have seen.
What an amazing model-builder & printer technician/ operator you are.
Breathtakingly lovely lifelike miniature of a painting!
I've seen the original in a gallery and this is a fantastic 3D recreation.
The patience of the artist just amazed me
She's one of my favorite characters in the Shakespearean canon.
Thank you for the art and what it brings to my heart.
Let's all agree this model and Shakespeare is perfection and beautiful
I am in awe of artists. How does your brain even work like this? They deserve to be paid hundreds of thousands of dollars
Best part of the whole video? Is when she changed her mind on camera. Wonderful work. I’d buy it from you
У неё прям золотые руки!!! И всё на своем месте аккуратно лежит😊😊😊
I saw the original painting in the Tate Britain, London, 11 years ago on a very special day in my life. I had never seen it before or knew anything about it, but I loved it so much that I bought a postcard of the painting. Now, whenever I look at it, I think of that day, the day after I met the man of my dreams, who has now passed away a few years back. So this painting will always be bittersweet to me. Fantastic to see other art works about it!
Very very cool indeed. Your dioramas are the best on you-tube by far. Keep up the amazing work.💜
I find it crazy how realistic these things look! Great job!
It reminded me of a page from one of my mother's library books that I read in the storehouse as a child. It brings back the smell of mold, cherry blossoms, and magnolias. What a stunning and poetic scene. Thank you for reproducing it.
I love how you used the oval picture frame as edging for the diorama!!! So clever!!!
This gave me chills! I would love to see more painting recreated. Especially “sad” ones.
Very Beautiful, I really feel the pain in Ophelia's eyes. I could look at that piece and feel the melancholy every day.
I have a copy of this painting hanging over my bath in my little English country cottage, and I wonder at it's beauty - by candlelight - every evening. To see it brought to life in 3D has been very profound for me. Thank you so much for choosing this often overlooked masterpiece.
The fact that, that is one of my favorite paintings ever made oh my god. This is truly Beautiful and the detail! My goodness
I love these kind of pieces as they are more fine-art than craft pieces(or fantasy or sci-fi). These are heirloom pieces that can be handed down from generation to generation.
My favorite story, Hamlet, with one of my favorite parts, the tragic story of Ophelia. Amazing 👏
i think this one is my absolute favourite so far. would Love to see more pieces of classical art turned into dioramas
This piece is amazing! I actually always thought that this painting might be a perfect fit to build a diorama based on it! I'm so happy that you decided to do that! Thank you
This is great idea! Painting's reproduction dioramas, wow, I'd love to see more of this from you. This one is so beautiful
The dedication and patience! Amazing!
I love your video :) Good on you to change the way the one side of the river looked midway through. I also love the picture of Ophelia and how every flower that was chosen has a meaning. Like the poppies represent sleep and death.
Stunning that gold plate base is perfect for it too.
First time here. Beautiful results! Stunning. The only thing I would have done differently is to stain the stones that were meant to be below the waterline, so they don’t look like wet stones.
This is my favorite painting, and your recreation is beautiful.
Beautiful piece of one of my favorite paintings! Good job!
Without a doubt one of the best dioramas i have ever seen. Beautiful work, and truly inspirational.
So do you make your own bushes and plants? They’re so detailed. You need to teach a course on modeling detail. Truly incredible
The most beautyfull I' have ever seen, this is pure art
Great idea making 3d diorama versions of famous paintings! And beautifully executed as usual.
Absolutely beautiful ❤❤❤
This is beautifully sad 🥺🥺 but the concept of turning ancient famous paintings into 3d is just amazing!!! Ooohh can you please do more!!! A series of it 🤩🤩🤩🤩
Beautiful! And from my favorite play, too!
Beautiful~ Watching the plants being placed and glued in was so relaxing, it really makes me want to make a base like this for something! Once again it's always a joy to watch you create these works of art ^^
Wonderful! I love how you captured the underwater portion as well and made it part of the art. I am all for more art reproductions like this!
Nice work. Few outside the world of art know that the Millais painting is regarded as one of the best from the 19th century. You did an outstanding job on it.
One of my most favourite paintings. These artists painted life so realistic the model lay in water for a long time to get it perfect. If my memory serves me right she caught pneumonia and sadly passed away.. it’s like a lasting memorial to the beautiful lady .This is my favourite period of art and there was some extremely talented artist too.You too have done an extremely detailed and beautiful piece of art..I think that you have done such a nice job ,leaving no detail out.It amazes me how you painted her tiny eyes in with a paintbrush..That was so brave .I love this one very much.Reminds me of sitting in the library pouring over the Pre-Raphaelite books when I was a lot younger 🥰
A work of art just like the painting . You are a talented artist .
that frame was the cherry on top
This is absolutely incredible!! One of my favourite paintings and such a great outcome ❤️
Wow! This is simply Amazing .This is one of my favourite paintings you used for inspiration. You have done an incredible job of turning it into a gorgeous 3D piece of art.I love what you did and it does look so realistic too.Your very talented 🥰
Ophelia !!!! WOW. !!!! Just beautiful, the time taken and patience is just amazing. OMG…. Thank you for this video.
My Honors English teacher introduced me to Millais "Ophelia" by sharing a small postcard of the painting. I fell in love with it and with the Pre-Raphaelites. Many, many years later I got to see the painting in London and it was everything I hoped for and more. The astounding botanical detail alone was mind-boggling. Your 3-D piece is as amazing and also fascinating to watch. I had a great biography of Lizzie Siddell but gave it away to a fellow art nut. I encourage anyone who is mesmerized by this work to pursue looking into her tragic life.
Ah, a favourite picture on the wall of English class at school.
Υπεροχο Πανεμορφο ...Μαγικο .....πανεμορφη τεχνη !!!
Brilliant. A diorama that accurately captures the essence of the tragedy of desperation pushed to the limit. I never cease to be amazed by the mastery of each of these creations. My congratulations. Go ahead with the channel. 👍😉
Your art is truly breath taking. It is beautiful, handcrafted to perfection. Amazing work .
This is so awesome, beautiful
I can smell the glue and paint while watching this
Unique idea complete 💯 ❤
So macabre and beautiful at the same time. Wonderful job
Remarkable talent. I love watching your mind create
Really beautiful. My favorite miniature you've ever made 🖤

Recognized your inspiration from the thumbnail. I was enamored by that painting when I was young. It was so haunting yet beautiful. Wonderful recreation

Absolutely gorgeous!
I just looked into the Kingroon 3D printer. Very affordable, with great reviews. I've been looking for the right beginner printer, and this just may be it. Thanks!
This was in my opinion this was the best diorama video you've made, perhaps the best I've seen! The music, editing, and the subject matter was all so impeccably done! I am so very impressed at your talent and aspire to be as skilled as you. I must also say that this video truly helped me forget about the challenging day I had. Thank you for sharing your art with the world but in particular this style of relaxing and beautiful piece. Be well.
Beautiful! I love this piece.
Невероятная красота, супер !
