Nothing seems to go right for young Kate, a frustrated Londoner who works as an elf in a year-round Christmas shop. But things soon take a turn for the better when she meets Tom -- a handsome charmer who seems too good to be true. You know at first I thought this movie was really corny and predictable. But the way it was filmed and the atmosphere just made me enjoy it so much. Like I'm in the crowd with them. Also this song is stuck in my head all the time now smh.

it was dedicated to George he loved the idea and he gave his blessing for the movie he would have loved to see it but then he was unexpectedly taken otherwise maybe he would have made a cameo but I am so glad and happy Andrew did make one

I saw this movie last night after Thanksgiving dinner and I couldn't stop crying... has been on my mind ever since. I loved it and will be in my yearly Christmas movie rotation from now on. How did this go under the radar!?

Was this movie predictable? Yep. Was it cheesy? You betcha. But it was also heartwarming and bittersweet. I would def recommned it especially as I'm a Malaysian and seeing Michelle and Henry made me feel at home, in a strange way.
I feel like we need these kinds of movies though. There’s far too many movies and tv shows that are either really depressing or dark and gratuitous (while also being predictable-not to mention so ‘self aware’ which highly obnoxious) and we need happy feel good movies like this to balance it out. Even the saccharine Disney movies are needed.

I think one of the best statements I have heard about Emilia is that she is the human rendition of a happy golden retriever puppy.
It took me a long time to understand this movie, even though I already loved it because of my obsession with Christmas (by the way, there are 357 days until Christmas) and because of my love for the way Emilia Clarke acts.
It was hard for me to assimilate that a man as good and gentle as Tom was not a real man for Kate with what she deserved someone like that, but a ghost, a good Christmas spirit.
But now I understand that it was necessary to write it like this to make her understand life better and fight for herself and to help real life people understand love and what Christmas is.

Why is Emilia Clark getting all the hopeless romantics roles??? In the " me before you" she had the same "you have to live your life your way" type of role! She freaken tried that in game of thrones even and the girl got killed for no reason!
Girl got killed for no reason? The mad queen murdered millions of people for no reason. The whole premise was she was the daughter of the mad king and turned into him.
Jenny Oakley yes but 7 seasons prior the whole reason of the show was she was nothing like her father 😂, that’s why people hated the ending it came out of left field and if you go back and rewatch it up to season 8 you would see how vastly dumb it is that she went crazy in what appeared to be a matter of 2 weeks

Love it, corny as it is ! Listening to Emilia's sweet voice and watching Andrew's cameo in a kind of love-actually performance was so heart-warming. It felt like a little bit of George was there happily watching this tribute.

@@hemalsheth9965 3:13 Andrew has in the red hat. Actually, Emma Thompson sent the script for the movie to George & he even recorded a few new songs for it. I'm so glad that George knew about the movie being made although he did not live to actually see it.
