  • This year I'm going to be documenting everything that I do when it comes to making money flipping electronics. I will start off with $100 and try and see if I can grow it into $1000. Along the way I will be buying, fixing, reselling all sorts of different electronics.
If you ever wanted to learn or see if you could fix electronics or flipping electronics this is the series just for you.
In this episode, I started off with an animal crossing nintedo switch which I purchased for $100 and today I tried to take that switch and repair it to resell it back on eBay.

Very informative video. By the way, you are able to use Audacity's sound profile to get rid of the background noise.

Blud forgot to include the cost of the game cartridge reader. According to Ifixit, this would be around 55 USD, So if he was to buy the part, he would be 30usd in the red.

You make a really fair point. If I needed to purchase a brand new reader I would certainly be in the red. I was lucky enough to have some spare parts on the side lines from previous lots/projects purchased from eBay. Hence why I didn't need to pay for a reader.
However, I recognize that most people don't have just tons of spare parts laying around. Going forwards with the flipping for profit series I I try and include costs of almost everything that I needed to do the repair (minus tools + labor) to give a more accurate view of what goes into the repair. I think I did a much better job in the last episode I released on Friday of articulating the costs/fees/taxes/shipping to the viewer.
I have a video in the works right now of where to source parts and how to amass surplus parts in order to do flips if this is something you are interested in pursing because 55 Dollars sounds really steep for a card reader, and even though I really like iFixit's quality which is top notch from my experience, the prices kill any sort of profit you want to make on a flip. I have a few places and ideas regarding where to source parts that could be helpful.
      I appreciate the critique!

Yeah for certain sometimes I get unlucky when it comes to payouts. There have been times where I could put in 3 hours of work, something unexpected happens, and I'm out -$200. But also a few weeks ago I was able to put in 30 minutes of work and was able to to profit over $100 on an iPhone 11.
As I am spending more time in the flipping space, I'm getting better when it comes to gauging if I should take a deal or not, generally if I am not able to make a minimum of $30-40 I'm not going to take the deal. I try to capture the highs and lows with the series to hopeful give you guys a more accurate picture when it comes to flipping electronics.
