King of Concrete 2023 - BMX Competition at Southsea Skatepark

King of Concrete was founded in 1988 and held at Southsea Skatepark. It emerged as a progressive development from the King of the Skateparks competition, featuring bowls, flatland, and quarterpipes. It quickly became the go to competition of the 80s and 90s a true celebration of BMX, celebrating the true spirit of BMX, and not only putting pros on display but also inspiring the next generation of riders.
Today, King of Concrete stands as a proud tradition that continues to encourage the next generation of riders. Evolving with the times, we now have Vert, Park, Street and the highest bunny hop disciplines, we will have DJs all day and an after-party on Saturday night.

Great little overview video. I used to go to this back in the 90s and was just looking on Google to see if it was still running. The last time I went, We The People had just been founded and I bought a KH-01 frame from one of the stands. I probably wouldn't know any of the riders nowadays!
